American craft beers are also quite influential in Scandinavia, among both beer drinkers and as an influence on the local brewing scene. Brooklyn Brewery is popular enough that they're opening a brewery in Stockholm to fill local demand without having to ship the beer.

Then you haven't really looked

One thing for certain is that you'll NEVER find a can/bottle of Budweiser, Miller, Coors, even Labatt or Molson (Canadian Budweiser) for that matter, in my house. Some of my favorites include:

Newcastle
Samuel Smith (Oatmeal Stout and Pale Ale)
Anything from the Stone Brewery
Anything from Andersen Valley Brewing Company (especially their Boont Amber Ale and Hop Ottin' IPA)
Brooklyn Brewery which I recently discovered.

Throughout Southern California, there's a nice brewpub called BJ's Brewhouse, with several locations that make their own beer on site. One of my favorites is their Nutty Brewnette, and their Tatonka Stout is also extremely heavy and powerful if you're in the mood (sort of like a thick black syrupy beer with 8+% alcohol).

Amen to that. A local store has begun carrying a few of Brooklyn Brewery's beers. They are very, very good.

I've recently been on a wheat beer kick. I can vouch for Franziskaner, it's quite good. Tonight I had a bottle of Saranac's Belgian White, which while drinkable, was not very pronounced in flavor. One of my American brewed favorites is Harpoon's Unfiltered Offering. Also, I had Brooklyner Weisse on tap in Brooklyn this past weekend and it was very flavorful.

On another note, spending a week in Mexico, I became addicted to Negra Modelo--WITHOUT a lime. I find it quite refreshing and enjoyable as a "have a couple" beer.

Guinness might be overrated, but I still like it. What I've really been into lately in terms of stouts is this, ever since my friend brought some back from New York. I took them up on their claim that it's "a stunning accompaniment to a chocolate dessert," and it turns out that the bitter aftertaste of it really does match surprisingly well with bittersweet dark chocolate.

...not that anyone will ever see this, since I didn't notice this story until right after it fell off the front page, but that's ok.

First, it's pale yellow water with alcohol. But since all you seem to have taken the time to acquaint yourself with are the mass-market American lagers, this clearly isn't an area of expertise for you. Understandable if not forgivable.
