No. Actually, Jews did it. To fool Americans into fighting Israel's enemies. Simple as that.

No, I'm using my eyes. If I visit LGF, I see that there are comments. They're part of the blog. There is no more argument, you're just being foolish and, as is typical of the right, trying to lie through your teeth so often that people just begin to default to believing you.
That's a poor attempt at a shout-down. When you can't support your argument, scream "Lies! Lies!" When you visit LGF, you have to click the 'comments' link, then scroll past the disclaimer to read comments. They are not visible on the main page, and not readable without seeing the disclaimer. I'm right; you're wrong. Get over it.
Cite an actual article. I'm not going to read through a whole page of Google search results just because you claim they're something that the first three I DID read aren't.

Is that anti-Semitic? I get the feeling that that might be just a touch anti-Semitic, maybe I'm wrong. That's from indymedia, a leftist 'news' site which, by the way, has NO DISCLAIMER. Still accepted by Google as legitimate news.
Now, one might argue that I cherry-picked a random comment to prove my point. But you can't argue that yourself, because it would invalidate your entire argument that comments are an integral part of the site's content.
By your own argument, I've now proven that Google News will accept anti-Semitic trash from leftist pages when it should be kicking them, too. But Google won't, because Google is biased against conservative news sources, for whatever reason.
To the dailykos page: The very first sentence denies the Holocaust ever happened. The next three or four seem to be setups that the whole thing was a big, tragic misunderstanding. I'm not in the habit of reading further if the 2nd or 3rd sentence isn't something along the lines of, 'actually, it did happen'.

Re:You're wrong. The difference...
'over-inflated' == "spending more than you have"
Hype, because Americans, due to their proclivity for cults of personality and inability to dis-introvert themselves long enough to escape Club Med Nirvana and have a Real Look At The World, hyperbolically still consider theirs the greatest nation on Earth, irresponsibly, when in fact as a nation America is far, far, far less great than many others in an exceedingly expansive number of realms, such as education, agrigultural sciences, manufacturing, even 'entertainment' .. oh wait, militant mass programming of police-state-asseted inebriated peon hordes, America and its Gigantic Drug and Propaganda Apparatus is very great at that.. but in fact, the only bouyant export from the U.S., economically, is police force/forms of warfare, and we all know (those of us who were paying attention in History class) just how long police states can go before collapsing on themselves. (Hint: not very long.)
Every single one of those Shock and Awe weapons could've been used for far, far greater, peaceful purposes which would have made an awesome impact on world stability, but instead Americans allow their politicians to use its technology to destroy. [Is George W. Bush really the best America can do? Honest?]
Show me a cruise missile, and I'll show you a highly effective way of peacefully delivering a very badly needed water pump and medical supplies, to precisely where its needed, very rapidly. Show me a fleet of B52 bombers with heavy lift capabilities, and I'll show you a Dafur that didn't need to happen. 10,000 pounds of Uranium would do well to safely improve the condition of life for multiple millions of people, yet America prefers it be weaponized "just in case".
Crimes of America: Vietnam. Honduras, Nicuragua. Venezuela. Iraq "Highway of Death", Desert Storm. Afghanistan. Iraq War Two. Sure, you've got excuses for every one of these 'wars', but for every excuse to kill, there are also a hundred reasons not to kill thousands of people.

Do they even NEED a subpoena at this point?I was under the impression that with the Patriot Act, such things as subpoenas were rendered mere acts of politeness. .
.
The simple fact that concerned citizens are being investigated by the FBI while Diebold only getting a show of wrist slapping, (if that), sorta says something.
Remember; she shape of your life is up to YOU. I have been urging people to get out of the US before it is too late. That window is closing fast. Would it surprise anybody at this point to see Big Brother pick people up who are trying to cross the border with their belongings?
It's only a matter of SHORT time.
The end is getting pretty frickin' nigh. Get your shit in order.
(I wonder if Paypal is going to continue serving Blackboxvoting. . .?)
Oh, and for those who plan to stay, (like everybody), but who don't want to be affected by the coming Draft. . . I ran across this story about a legal way to NOT be drafted. I was wondering if it is a true and viable way. Any Lawyers among you who want to give a crack at answering would be appreciated.
Cheers and Good Luck, my friends!

Re:Booyah!
That's not necessarily true.
If you'll take a look at fine sites like this one, this one or possibly this one, you will see that there is little doubt that should Bush get re-elected, we will have, at least, a limited draft instated by early 2005. If you don't follow the other links, I suggest this one. especially if you have a 17-18 year old son OR daughter.
As to the obvious reason that this is going to happen, well you might start looking here; even though the military is basically not letting ANYONE out these days, time up or not, they aren't in my opinion going to be able to meet the numbers due to missed targets.
My word of advice (and I volunteered, was in Gulf War lite, so screw anyone who says I'm not a patriot) is that if you have a boy or girl who are in high school, and they do NOT fully support the policies of the current administration, have them drop out if Bush gets reelected; the current system doesn't take people without high school diplomas, and it'll take them awhile to change the rules.

Re:Campaign Finance Reform = Cheap Influence
No, it has not been ignored, it has been broken.
The 14th amendment prevents states from restricting the 'privileges or immunities of citizens' and gives congress power to enforce this.
'privileges or immunities of citizens' has been interpreted to include just about everything from abortion to religion to gay sex.
Most of what the 10th reserved to the states only is now prohibited from them. Take a good look at just about any major US Supreame Court decision. they all cite the 14th amendment this way. (Roe v wade, recent homosexualtiy ruling, religion in schools (or anywhere else) Bush's election rulling . . . . The list is huge.)
The first amendments 'congress shall make no law' became 'nobody shall make a law'. So every case involving these issues goes to the courts, and since there is no laws about them, the courts get to decide what the 'law' is. Needless to say the courts have been making a lot of dumb 'laws' for quite some time.
The goal of the 14th amendment was great, the implementation badly flawed. It needs to be repealed and replaced with something better.
Take a look here for a better description of what I am trying to say here -
Re:Precedent against this sort of suitYay! Someone here besides me is pro-gun. The USA needs more people like you. Remember Kennesaw, Georgia - the town that has manditory gun ownership and very low crime since 1982!

waking up to the real america
...you'd think all honest politicians would be working to make sure computerized voting systems are open source...For a long time, "honest politician" has been an oxymoron, a laugh amongst the working class. Heavens, we all know there is no such thing. It was Simon Cameron in the 19th century who gave us the modern American definition of an "honest politician" --
"An honest politician is one who, when he is bought, will stay bought."The real truth is that most people don't vote because they know their vote doesn't matter. No matter who you vote for, unless you write them a big check, they aren't going to listen to you anyway. No matter how many emails you send in, how many phone calls, how many pickets, it doesn't matter. Unless you have money, you are just a noise that the politician tunes out.
Did the US people want the Patriot Act? A war against Iraq? How about a real 911 investigation? What about the banks selling all your personal data in California? The list is endless. The laws that are passed are not there "for the people".
An awake mind sees that the people get what the politicians give them. Which for well over a hundred years in America has been what the special interests, corporations, and other powers tell the politicians to do.
The big step forward for a better America would be to actively choose not to participate in the biggest lie of all -- that our country is a democracy run by the people and that voting matters.
Think what would happen --
PULLING THE LEGITIMACY PLUG
PULLING THE LEGITIMACY PLUG IIAs Thomas Jefferson said long ago, "Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom".
Isn't it time that we, the people, started being honest with ourselves about the current state of our so-called "democracy"?

--anything you can do for cash is good, yardsales etc. Tell you something else, this time of year, put in that garden if you haven't done so. Garden saved my sanity and wallet last year, this year it's bigger. I made about squat last month, so low I am medium embarrassed to even quote a figure, it's beyond ridiculous, and no unemployment checks or anything. I still like to *eat* though, I always have had a very extensive pantry and a garden, it just makes sense, costs little to do, and is a direct way to pay yourself in something vital, no "cash" action absolutely needed if you have the piece of dirt to use.
Ya, it's hard to start over, in some cases almost impossible and is a real soul killer depending on your age I guess. Done it several times already, I am not *totally* discouraged, but I will say I am beyond annoyed now. Well beyond it. Don't know about a life of crime, but seeing some ceos and politicians hanging from tress would not terribly upset me at this point. I know they'd just get replaced with similar goons, so oh well....
Here, just working towards a smaller little place we can own outright. Looked last friday at yet again another terribly over priced piece of land, well, seems over priced. I think these property prices will drop soon though, as the economy kicks more and more people hard, they were grossly inflated over the last few years it appears. Once we find one, that's it, paid off as soon as possible, small organic farm action, then sell used widgets on the side and that's it, going to be content with the sheer basics from here on out, I don't see the US economy as lasting much longer, it is just SO skewed towards unrealistic expectations based on greed and insanity that to me it's almost indescribale. I don't know how people think an economy that consists of mostly managers, sales people, middle man skimmers, the entertainment industry and government workers is supposed to remain viable forever. What true industry we have left is only being sustained by the short term profits of yet again moving them off shore, or importing third world workers. There IS going to be a mass tipping over point and a huge snowball effect. I think we are *this close* to it happening.
I try to not inject my personal life when I look at and write on macro policies and effects and events, but being "downsized" several times, it forces you to just LOOK at the over all position, and what I see is that I am just lucky enough to see it coming because it already hit me. People who it hasn't happened to yet are still in denial. Same exact people who thought their stocks at a totally ridiculous profits and earnings ratio were "real", those people. Just can't see it coming, and what's worse, don't WANT to see it so don't look hard enough.

Re:Computer lab or vocational education?
You guys have a great debate going, sorry for the interruption. I just wanted to inject one point which might (or might not) be relevant to your debate.
Every so often, I read an editorial or an article about the "dumbing-down of America". These pieces bemoan curriculum changes or testing standards that allow for sub-standard learning environments.
A few examples:
Regarding programming
Regarding entertainment
Regarding academia
I for one think it's high time that we stop dumbing-down people by assuming that all they're capable of using is one or two operating systems and one office suite. The purpose of schools is to educate people so that they can make intelligent choices...not teach them how to use one proprietary operating system or one proprietary office suite.
Stop assuming that people are mindless automatons that don't want a choice and start educating them about the choices they do have and let's see what happens.
