Re:The proofs
Why would you post the photos and no the whole article which includes quotes by several muslim heads condemning those placards or asking for that demonstration to be banned?
Because the Israelis (and their propagandists) lie.
I found that out when I was regularly calling the Israeli embassy to check out stories of human rights abuses.
"What about this case that Amnesty International and B'Tselem described in which an IDF soldier machine-gunned down a Palestinian child?"
"It never happened."
The New York Times, the BBC, Human Rights Watch -- they're all lying.
This goes on even when the evidence becomes overwhelming. In one case, an IDF soldier in a watch tower shot and killed a Palestinian boy playing soccer 400 meters away. B'Tselem did a full investigation, complained to the IDF, and an IDF lawyer wrote to B'Tselem saying that they had reviewed the case and there were no grounds for an investigation.
By mistake, the lawyer included with the letter a memo to her own supervisor in which she said that there were grounds for an investigation. (Just so you know that I'm not making it up, this was in an Amnesty International report http://www.amnesty.org/en/libr...)

Re:If you had not posted the link then
The situation is ridiculous enough that I was hoping that someone would smack this down with some hard evidence to the contrary. I'm still waiting/hoping.
Sorry. Absolutely true. See: http://www.hoax-slayer.com/khas-khas-poppy-seed-warning.shtml

Re:kinda cheating
They had a collapse 3 years ago. Quote.."Chinese officials promised that those found responsible for the building collapse would be "severely penalized ". An April 2010 China Daily report indicates that this promise was certainly kept, noting:
SHANGHAI - The two top shareholders of a real estate firm responsible for developing the Lotus Riverside residential complex, where a nearly complete building fell to its side last year, were sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday."

Re:Won't work for smart criminals/terrorists
If I would ever become a criminal or terrorist I'm already prepared for dumb technology like this. I have long hair, a moustache and a goatee. After I committed my crime I will simple shave and cut my hair. And that's simply the easy, quick and painless change.
Oh, now you've done it...now they'll fit their cameras with sonar and/or radar and/or infrared to see "through" facial hair.
Oh, well..should create a booming market for the security pics. -
Because Mars isn't already a catastrophe.
Hell-loooooo!
Anyone thinking in there?
Mars is already post-apocalyptic, times a factor of a million!
And it's tens of millions of miles away, on a good day.
If we're worried about catastrophe, we should be looking for ways to prevent it for everyone's sake, not just helping the super-wealthy and astronautically psychotic avoid it.

Re:How does this affect visitors?
that is why encrypting stuff as a spam (pseudo-spam more precisely) might be the best way to send secret messages.
(say - http://www.hoax-slayer.com/hidden-text-spam.html ).
Need to parse through zillions of penis enlargement adverts would definitely piss off the any gov, including US. -
Re:Force them to slow down
Wouldn't it be cheaper and faster to lay down some of these: http://www.hoax-slayer.com/fake-potholes.shtml
They may only work once per driver, but it will be a while before every driver on a street knows about them and the drivers behind that driver have to slow down too.

Re:Yeah, it would be cool in an ideal world...
You know, for a second I believed you, but then you started talking about the RTA "point to point [speed] check". This is a massive hoax and you fell for it, sucker!

Re:Utah isn't exactly the right place for this
Yup, nothing wrong with it. I just searched for a link to a funny/relevant interview transcript I saw recently...but it turned out to be a hoax...doh! It's still funny.

Be careful! Some scams are not as obvious.
I do NOT think that scam VICTIMS need to be jailed, whether they are greedy or not.
Yes, you'd have to be a total numbskull to believe some of the stories that scammers use. But if you read the next paragraph, you'll see that even someone who isn't "stupid" can be fooled. Ridiculous and obvious scams come with stories that your uncle's long-lost twin (separated at birth) who lived in Zimbabwe and ran a diamond mine just died in a tragic car accident and you were the only beneficiary in his will, please email over your bank account number and routing info, or that Nigeria's silicon tycoon needs to transfer a billion dollars to a company in the United States but due to some extremely complicated circumstances related to a jacked up political climate, they need to park the funds in the bank account of someone who is trustworthy and you came highly recommended, and they'll leave you 1% of the money as a fee for your troubles (that comes out to ten million bucks), please email us your bank account number, routing info, a photocopy of your driver license and passport, etc., etc., etc., well, all I can say is that if you actually believe any of this shit, you need to be educated. Read about the so-called 419 Scam among others. Yes, you'd have to be "greedy" to fall for such a scam. Should you be jailed? No. You're still the victim of a crime.
Some scams sound more realistic than the ones above. For example, I once received an email bearing a friend's email address as the "From:" address and claiming that he had lost his passport and/or wallet while on vacation in Africa, and due to complications with the local authorities, he needed to borrow $1000 to pay some fine and get out of jail (money which he would supposedly pay back upon returning home). I called my friend on the phone and it turned out that he was safe and sound here at home, not in Africa. Someone had jacked his email password or otherwise hacked into his email account. Apparently, everyone in his address book received such an email. This is the type of scam that even discerning people could fall for. You have to be really, really, really careful not to fall for some of this stuff.

Re:Schiphol Amsterdam using same kind of technolog
Anyone remember around 1999, when Sony camcorders were being recalled because their cameras could "see through clothing"?

http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/H9/H9A.HTM
http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/V3/V3A2.HTM
Would any of this Sony technology have any silent (via shadow investors/subsidiaries) part in resurrecting Sony income stream? Would this technology in the news today be very good for random and equidistant surveillance points for bridges, office towers and infrastructure.
I can imagine a whole new slew of patent-evading startups (not counting some failed or badly-focused ones in the SillyConJobAlley area just north of San Jose/Milpitas...). Might be JUST what Boston and Santa Clara need.
However, if:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=88031211&ft=1&f=1001
is any indication, countries like the USA will have the hopeless task of putting such cameras EVERY WHERE (good for business income from DOD/DHLS contracts...) until policy or attitude toward people OUTside of the US changes.
Maybe it WILL be good for police to use. Now, they will have no reason to cavity or strip search people. It could reduce the number of unjustified shootings/killings of people. No more claims of "S/he had what appeared to be a firearm aimed at me/my partner/a civilian bystander...". It could even protect police when approaching vehicles. No more being shot just for trying to issue a traffic citation for a vehicle code violation.
Stores and offices could use them for silent reporting and logging of robberies or undesired proliferation of weapons in neighborhoods. I wouldn't be surprised if places like SF's Tenderloin and Bayview/Hunters Point and Fillmore district get these things.
But, the train stations/undergrounds will be clamoring for federal funds (matching?/challenge grants?) to get these new gadgets installed.
HEHEH.... Captcha: Positron (how coincidental...)
