Much like Jesus Christ, who uses the decimal system.

very VERY offtopic (again)...
...but just in case you guys missed my earlier post:
WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK IS THIS???
and their karma system still uses numbers! joy! -
Absolutely nobody gives a shit so let's all die
I haven't even glanced at or given the slightest thought to whatever horrendous bullshit topic is about to be thrashed out in excruciating dullness, but I just wanted to point my fellow -1 readers to an informative thread at jesusgeeks.net.

Slashdot is slow
Usually slashdot isn't that bad on news speed, but this story has been out for a while and JesusGeeks has already covered it.

interesting
There's a great review of the iPod on Jesusgeeks.net from the founder (gregday). He uses the iPod under linux and has a list of the programs he used, how he used them, and how it all worked out. To see the iPod review/howto, go here.
Personally, I can't wait to get an iPod. For a while I've been dealing with a crappy mp3-cd player, but after reading so much about the iPod, I'm ready to make the switch as soon as I have the cash. 299 doesn't sound too bad for 5 gigs of mp3 storage. And it runs under linux! woohoo. -

Re:Stinking thick english crud
Ummm...Actually...Bottled Guinness now comes with super cool widgets that not only keep it cold, but give it a perfect head.
For more info, either read my writeup about it Here on JesusGeeks.net or go straight to the source: Usa.guinness.com (it has a cool flash animation showing how the new widget (which uses nitrogen) works). Or you can go see Wired's story on the same subject. 13.5 million dollars in R and D went into bringing you cold guinness with a head.
So stop your whining! -

Reasons I will NOT get one of these
First of all, it runs MSN messanger. (which supposedly can be changed)
Second, there is a 9.95/month surcharge to use an ISP other than MSN Here is some linkage to compaq to prove it, athome.compaq.com Follor the "2" below the asterisk at the bottom
Third of all, there is a 9.95/month surcharge for using the broadband adapter (check the same linkage, but number 3)
There are other reasons as well, but here is an alternative: The 3com Audrey. It runs QNX, there are lots of hacks and stuff for QNX, it doesn't have those freaking monthly fees, it looks cooler, it has the light up stylus etc etc etc...to see more of my reasons, go to JesusGeeks.net. The 3com audrey is OOP, but it is a sweet machine. My friend got it off (ironic?) TigerDirect a few months ago, but unfortunately they don't have it there anymore. THere are lots of ebay offeres for it. The only changes I would want with an Audrey is a full size keyboard. -
Obligatory "old news" post

Methinks...
You should see JesusGeeks.net. Linux is almost like God to these wackos.

A Slashsite for Christian Geeks
You also might wanna check out JesusGeeks.net. It's like slashdot, but a lot of the content is about theology and Christian faith.
