Your idea already failed
If the "Takesi" were so awesome, Uber and Lyft would never have taken off.
Your first problem with Takesi, is that your limited fleet is no where large enough to fill driver demand, and as a result you charge way more than is needed and never have cars without a huge wait (if you can even get one at all).
Your second problem is that after a while you no longer have a fleet of known safe drivers but a fleet of drivers who are assholes, rapists, and murderers. Why you failed to screen these out I have no idea, but you failed far worse than Uber or Lyft, which have ratings so bad drivers get booted very quickly. Takesis have no such feedback nor a way for a passenger to check on a driver who is about to pick them up, so assholes get to stay a driver forever.
Your second problem is that your "vehicles inspected by the company themselves" are in way worse shape, with disintegrating seats and smelly - after all why should them seem in good condition when you can't control which Takeski you get or rate them? Again passengers cannot tell what is coming for them (*shudder*).
Your third problem is that for whatever reason your "coordination from a central location" sucks horrifically compared to Uber and Lyft, who have drivers nearby almost everyone instead of a half-hour wait for a Takeski, not to mention your company distributed GPS receivers are about 400 years old and only show old Roman messenger paths compared to the very modern nav systems Uber and Lyft drivers use.
The Takeski will be more costly than Uber and Lyft, yes... but also suck more in every conceivable way. And THAT is why Uber and Lyft are so successful, because if taxis were just a bit more expensive but offered better service people would mostly use taxis. The reality on the ground is that I would pay 10x more to not use a taxi because of horrific (and I do not use that word lightly, I really mean HORRIFIC) experiences form taxi drivers and cabs.
I will say there is one exception (there's always an exception) - Black Cabs in London I've used over the years have truly been excellent, I would use those over Lyft and Uber if the wait is reasonable. They truly are professionals in a way I've never seen any other city across the Earth manage.

So who's coordinating the assault on Uber?
I'm sure all this is nothing but a coincidence:
Chicago 2/28 – Are Rideshares Increasing Traffic Congestion?
Denver 2/25 – Studies suggest Uber, Lyft cause traffic congestion
Boston 2/25 – Uber, Lyft drivers are making city traffic worse
Seattle 2/12 – Do Uber, Lyft worsen Seattle’s traffic congestion?
Manhattan 2/26 – Your Uber Car Creates Congestion. Should You Pay a Fee to Ride?
Washington, DC 2/28 – Ride sharing services such as Uber are causing causes of traffic congestion -
Re:Ruining it for everyone...
Hmm, let's see... recent terror attacks in the west:
Salman Ramadan Abedi (British)
Anis Amri (Tunisian)
Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel (Tunisian)- and yet neither Britain nor Tunisia were on Trump's proposed travel restriction list.
Meanwhile, in the USA, domestic terrorism is alive and well.
(Note, this isn't a political point. All this was going on before Trump. But the idea that simply keeping out people from a few countries, apparently hand-picked for their non-involvement with violence to date, will do anything to help is just bizarre.)

Re:Distinction without a difference
I'd say the risk of setting one's crotch on fire counts as an "influence", wouldn't you? Or you might even run over your own head!
I know a kid who wrecked his motorcycle when a bee flew under his faceshield. Freaked out and lost control. I guess in your world, he was under the influence of bees?

Re:Solution looking for a problem
destroying other people's property based on them is unlikely to go well for you.
I'd lay odds that the Secret Service will be their first customer because unidentified drones cannot be tolerated in their controlled area, and they try to avoid sniping things unless a clear threat is in progress.
It's a cryin' shame that Deer Trail, Colorado voted down its proposed $25/year drone hunting license. Of 181 votes cast ~73% were against. This makes perfect sense to me, because at any point in history it seems only ~25% of any given population seems able to spot and move against certain trends that would take us down a bad road. And I'm not just talking about the guv'mint.
Up to now paparazzi, peeping toms and criminals casing potential victims and whole neighborhoods have had to grace their target areas with their physical presence, which has held them greatly in check.
I'm sure many are excited at the prospect of Amazon deliveries and pizzas buzzing through the skies -- or just exploring -- just for the novelty of how cool it would be. Hell, whole generations of us were enthralled by the "drone footage" at the beginning of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and how it would show a bird's eye view as he left home to visit his neighbors. Or perhaps you imagine something like this. Reality is a lot messier as they become commonplace. Drone operators will be watching their objectives on the ground and zooming their lenses as they fail to spot each other, power lines and aviation.
They will be crashing down onto busy roadways. As their payloads become heavier and their motors stronger there is potential for real harm to bystanders. When signal is lost or power is low they will go into autonomous descent without regard to the hazards below (such as fast moving traffic). It is inevitable that the use of 'cheap' drones is to become a favored method of terrorists. All of these things will happen by degrees.
We put pilots through the wringer and hold aircraft to ultra-high standards of reliability for good reason. We must not brush these things off lightly, and allow the the skies to become filled moving with objects of unknown purpose and origin. Unless we are really, really excited about putting pizza delivery folk out of work.

AgentCubes online (3D game design/ CS EdWeek)
AgentCubes online features an hour of code tutorial that allows you to make a 3D game in a browser. This is the first 3D browser based programming environment and includes making your own 3D shapes. The CS EdWeek / hour of code tutorial is about a 3D Frogger game but you can build a huge spectrum of games ranging from simple 1980 arcade style games to sophisticated AI SIMS-like games: http://sgd.cs.colorado.edu/wik... Proof that this is simple to do (Fox New 31 TV Anchorman makes a game with AgentCubes): http://kdvr.com/2013/12/10/kid... AgentCubes online is used in many schools and has been funded by the National Science Foundation.

Colorado photo radar tickets don't have to be paid
Photo radar tickets in Colorado don't have to be paid anyway unless they go to the trouble of serving you in person, which they never do.

Re:Wonder drug? I think not. Please don't put words in my mouth. I didn't establish any causality about marihuana being nocive, I just said I hadn't seen any evidence of the mind expansion asserted by the AC I answered to. I didn't say anything about other psychedelic drugs either.
I would talk about your being paranoid, but you might consider it another attack on your beloved plants (anxiety attacks and paranoia having occurred some times after consuming marihuana -perhaps not directly related-), so I will let you have your fun with them and keep waiting for evidence of mind expansion.

Re:Oregon has no obscenity law, charges likely drop
If that's the case, why would there not have been an arrest made in this case: http://kdvr.com/2012/04/10/woman-strips-naked-at-dia/
She wasn't even protesting TSA, and it's not clear to anyone why she even stripped naked. If the airports have their own obscenity laws, they certainly aren't being applied anywhere close to evenly.
In fact, that these events happened so recent to each other implies that if there is such a "law" inside the airports jurisdiction, they are selectively enforcing it with the man in Portland to suppress his freedom of expression. -

In the present, police departments are already arresting people for video tapping them.

Re:In protest of people whining about tasers
In protest about people whining about tasers, I propose we take tasers, batons and bean bags away from the police. Also since cops don't wear running shoes, and they're given guns, the guns should be used instead of chasing. So any one resisting or trying to run away, you will be shot and you will be killed.
If force needs to be used, make sure its as lethal as possible.
But that's the point. A cop is probably going to think twice about shooting to kill grandma. Tasering her? Well, it's not lethal so it's okay, right?

Re:This is not what gaming should be
After all, if the computer is keeping a count of when conditions are favourable, the casino could quickly expel any winners even if they are not counting cards.
Or, just shut down the table - send the dealer on a coffee break.
Sounds like the insurance industry to me (who never deny an insurance application, but always investigate the application when you make a claim).
Well, the insurance industry does have its own abuses, but insurance companies do often turn down applications. The fat kid in Denver was turned down until the media made a fuss.
