/sarcasmLet's not split hairs here. Obesity is caused by overeating, regardless of what you eat. But the average carnivorous American who could give two shits about the crap they put into their body vs. a vegetarian or vegan, which most(all?) are usually very sensitive as to what goes into their bodies is certainly NOT equal by any stretch of the imagination.
And oddly enough, the latter study you cited came to the same conclusion, so I'm not exactly sure what you were trying to prove there.

They are already pretty non-deadly as they are, as they make it impossible to aim at large distances and fly slow enough to give the victim possibility to dodge if aware of the spear. Surviving a hit is also quite possible.

Of course that's just regular sport use, not actual abuse of the tool in armed rubbery and murder, but then I can't think of any cases when they where ever abused for any of the later. Care to provide some statistics?

actually the meals are fairly good, probably because a MRE meal has 1,250 calories, nearly 200 calories more than a McDonald's Big Mac Meal. Not hard to make something taste decent when you're shoving it full of calories.

They have 23 varieties of Doritos chips.
22 of the 23 are rich in Monosodium Glutamate (MSG). That's what makes them taste so good.
MSG is tasty. I don't think MSG is evil, however just like artificial sweeteners that trick our taste buds to thinking we are getting calories, MSG kind of tricks our taste sensors and making our bodies go yeah this is real hearty healthy food with protein and nutrition. Why? Because protein-rich foods are high in Glutamic acid, which provides the Umami flavor. And umami is nice. and MSG is just glutamic acid but with no inherent nutrition or protein.
so, we taste MSG and then we think, mmmmmm, body wants to hoard this (faux) nutrition.... I think I will have 7 pounds of these and just keep eating more and more and more.
Only the special variety that I've NEVER bought --- the one that is Kosher and Milk/Casein free and additive free... --- doesn't have MSG. You can identify that one on this page as the one with the all the icons indicating its specialness.
If i'm gonna have doritos, i want MSG and weird orange color.
But it's important to watch how much consumed in one sitting, because the MSG makes us want to keep eating them, and high amounts of carbs, fat, and salt aren't great for ya. For me, it's the carbs reduction that is helping me lose weight.
According to this site, 49 grams of doritos is 13 grams fat and 28 grams non-fiber carbs. And a 14.5 oz bag of chips is 411 grams.
So multiply by 8 and the bag is 104 grams fat and 224 grams carbs!!!

Well there's no need to guess from factors like "donut shops per capita".
The data, which was gathered between 2007 and 2009, reveals that approximately 24.1 percent of Canadians are obese compared to 34.4 percent of Americans.
So we have a 42% higher obesity rate.

In 2007, 18 percent of Canadian females and 20 percent of males reported smoking cigarettes. In the US, an estimated 18.3 percent of women and 23.1 percent of men smoke, based on 2008 statistics from The American Heart Association.
Maybe that's changed significantly in the last few years but that seems unlikely.
And there's more to health care costs than the efficiency of health care.
Yes: There's the fact that as a portion of health care dollars spent, the U.S. spends almost twice as much as Canada on administrative costs (28% vs. 16%, last time I checked).
Well... that would be included in what I called "efficiency of health care." More overhead = less efficient, but it's not the only factor in overall cost. In any case, dropping that 28% down to 16% to make it even with Canada would not account for the 45% cost difference you noted.
Also, claiming 28% of ALL health care dollars goes to administrative costs makes me really skeptical. Unless you're counting stuff like doctor salaries as administrative.

I wasn't pulling random numbers out of thin air.
I clearly remember the can containing more sugar, as described on the nutrition label. All my searching on the internet says otherwise. Perhaps I misinterpreted the numbers, but other people looked at the labels in disbelief, also, and changed their minds.
It was a late gaming night, so maybe we were all tired.
That being said, the emphasis of what I said is still correct: contain less sugar than a can of cola.
It's not surprising, when you think about it, but when you don't, you might end up assuming that a can of cola is mostly water, and that there isn't much sugar.
According to another search, 160 calories = 40 sugar grams = 1/3 of a cup. Apparently, I had a number in a wrong place, and then some.

Another explanation
Just did a quick search and it does appear that if, e.g., this is accurate, stressing bone causes them to increase in density.
Wearing a cellphone is restrictive on your range of movement, and you're more cautious about activities which could apply force to that area because you don't want to damage your expensive phone. Hence, the bone is less stressed, leading to less bone density.
Even if that isn't right, it still seems to me like the correct control for the experiment, if they want to say it's the radiation that's causing the bone loss, would be to have the control group wearing deactivated phones, not having them wearing no phone at all.

The corn, rice, honey-nut, chocolate and cinnamon versions are, however.

Of course, I don't believe that the US has no popular options for a plain, boring, tamper free cereal but you really do have to read the labels, whatever you buy.
