    I played it perhaps till the half of the game or so. It's not easy, makes you choose who you want to trust and work for, and you can all so easily ruin your game any time by shooting NPCs. You have to understand the dialogs in spoken English while figuring if the leader of "the resistance" is lying to you. Otherwise it is well done and unique. It's much the point of the game, you have to choose where to go and who you gun down

    You should try the enhanced version then. It fixes a lot of issues from the original.

    Another game from that era : Powerslave, also called Exhumed, it's just a more traditional open door and kill monster game but it made good use of the Duke Nukem 3D engine, there was some mood to it.

    I don't know anything about Powerslave except for Sega fanboys boasting about how the Saturn version uses its own custom engine that is somehow better than the Build version.

    Urban Brawl is a pretty nice Doom-based game. The cartoon style works well with the engine.

    Because everyone knows that a '80s TV-G show belongs on late night 'Adult Swim'
    That reminds me of the following from a book review I read once...

    All of which might lend Klosterman some pathos if he didn't brag so much about his heterosexual conquests and quasi-cynical manipulation of scores of alleged girlfriends. More disturbing are his obsessions with teen and pre-teen pop culture, as exemplified by a creepy essay on Saved by the Bell -- I HAVE FOUND the metaphor for everything vile in my generation, and its name is Chuck Klosterman by Mark Ames
    First they start showing live action movies like Dumb and Dumber.

    Now they are doing a two week trial of.... shudder... Saved by the Bell during their Adult Swim Block: Adult Swim 'Saved by the Bell' (note creepy Saved by the Bell homo-erotic image used to advertise the show...)

    I wonder how long before they change it to the 'C'-Network or something to de-emphasize cartoons..

    Well, at least I have one more season of Venture Brothers to look forward too until they pull the plug....

    It's sad though... I saw so many shows I would have missed out on because of Cartoon Network, like the great series Paranoia Agent... I'll just have to pay more attention to the Internet from now on...

    I like to read the episode capsules at the The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant (Simpson's) or The Mantis Eye Experiment (Venture Brother's)

    They both have April Fool's stuff on the main page, but you can still get to the capsules.

    And for you Doom nuts, there's Action Doom, which is a single player campaign of the Contra game mechanics applied to the ZDoom engine.

    For those interested, here are some other Doom ports.

    Doom Legacy, has OpenGL, network & other kewl stuff
    ZDoom, a hybrid of Doom, Hexen and other weird things, also check out ZdoomGL
    PrBoom, very old school, the only port compatible with Compet-n demos.
