Straight Forward Evaluation
Poker seems to be a much more useful game for this research than chess.
This shouldn't be a surprise. Poker has the advantage of always being able to simply evaluate your chip count. Chess doesn't. You can't enumerate chess games through the entire gamespace so the initial opening moves are based on libraries or heuristics. In response to the machine not knowing all aspects of the "game space," I thought that there were a lot of developments in the field that allowed these to be accounted for. What ever happened to good old Trial and Error or Fuzzy Systems? Aren't these viable strategies when playing poker?
What confuses me is how the poker openings differ. I would speculate that a program would be some heuristic relating the ratio of bluffing to "playing the odds." I have gambling friends that play poker all the time and they have these rules that they follow when they play initially against people. They say it's the best until you "know" the people you're playing. Once you can read them then you deviate from the rules. The real irony is that the most successful people I know adhere to a system until they learn someone's movements. Sounds to me like I would write an application that specializes in playing the odds until it recognizes a historical action that statistically reveals the player is bluffing/not bluffing.
Simply put, unless you knew someone's reputation as being a bluffer, you would play the opening hand always the same way. Aren't we forced to program the "AI" of the poker software as being this simple heuristic? Will programs ever be able to "read" players intelligently or will they rely on Markov models & statistics they develop from playing against the same human over and over?
Most unfortunate is the fact that the primary reason my friends gamble is they don't experience the same kind of rush while playing other games as they do with poker because it's more social than other games. If we program applications to beat humans, where does the "social aspect" of the game go?
Even more interesting is the network of poker bots that are set up and running some of the web sites that host poker players. Imagine sitting down at a table of five with four of the other seats taken. Now imagine that these aren't humans but instead bots on four different IP addresses that are sharing card information over an IP connection so that they can leverage odds over you and stop themselves from making stupid mistakes (i.e. they share a card on the table for a pair but really need three of a kind to pose a threat). There's a reason why the percentages fluctuate on TV when cards are revealed whether they be in the flop or in another player's hand. -
SpaceCam 1 aboard the ISS
According to CosmicBlog, the Marex webcam aboard the ISS is just getting operational, and has posted two images. You can view them at the marexmg site, or receive them directly over a radio or scanner hooked to a computer soundcard.

Re:This is the same FDA
Wow, nice post. I'm far too lazy to refute everything, and there's a few things I probably can't refute. But a few stike me as worthwhile. One is why ocean fish has less mercury than farm fish. Mercury in our fish comes from industrial run off, mostly mining (there's a really cheap way to mine gold that uses mercury, for instance). It gets in the air, and settles in the water, where it winds up in fish. Fish farms' lakes are open to the air (at least, all the fish farms I've seen are). Ocean fish are far enough out and away from mining opperations they get less mercury.
Sodium Nitrate isn't in your food to prevent Botulism, it's there to keep the meat nice and pink. The botulism is a nice side effect, but there are other ways to achieve that. They just don't keep the meat the right color for it's 3 months shelf life.
Moreover, if these food additives and what not are causing cancer to some degree, how do you explain the low cancer rates in Asian countries where they smoke like chimneys? And yeah, you'd never drink that much Worcestershire sauce, but what happens if you're getting the stuff from seven or 8 other things you eat?
Expensive doesn't mean better. I'm poor, and with the economy tanking I don't see that changing much. I need cheap. And yes, I did run off on a tangent about HFCS and Hydronenated Oils. :). 4
Oh, here's an article on the study showing higher mercury levels in imported tuna. If you search a little more you'll find the full studio, which points out that when the fda did it's testing it used tuna canned in the US. Naturally, the US, with it's more stringent industrial regulations, has less mercury in it's fish. -
Re:where's the market
They do. It is a common misconception that the authorities want cell phones off in flight because of safety.
Yet that is what is being told all the time by the airlines. The same lame excuse is often used in hospitals.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11627970/
Quote: there is plenty of anecdotal evidence that suggests battery-operated devices, [...] might disrupt critical aircraft navigation systems.
OTOH I don't mind the ban of cellphones on an airplane. Can you imagine trying to sleep and having some 'businessman' calling all the time? I have seen people with TWO cellphones calling till the airplane door. I can not imagine the horror sitting near that person.
Or sitting next to some younger person calling his haXor friend.
You can tell where I am? Cewl. Where am I now? And now? And now? And now? And now? And now? And now? And now? And now? And now? And now? And now? And now? Oh, lost you there, hello? Where am I now? And now? ... -

How appropriate - Fox Mulder was ready to believe any whacky conspiracy theory that came his way and so are you.
All baloney, by the way. -
Re:It's all hype anyway
Why weren't liquids blocked before?
Bingo! The issue of interest is not are liquid explosives possible, it's why is the gov't creating such a fuss? As others have noted above, the Bojinka plot made use of nitroglycerin inside a bottle of contact lens solution. In 1995!
So why hasn't the gov't banned liquids, gels, etc. for the past 11 years? It's clearly in someone's interest to have the public with their knickers in a twist. So who benefits from fear and uncertainty? And why did the US pressure the British to make the arrests when they did, especially, as it has now been shown, many of the alleged terrorists didn't even have tickets and passports?
The whole argument about what particular kind of liquid weapon is possible is a red herring, anyway. We've known Osama bin Laden (remember him?) financed the 1995 operation for 11 years, despite Bush's declaration that this is something "new." (Of course, he denied anyone suspected people would fly planes into buildings either and it turned out the topic had been frequently studied. Maybe it's just news to him.) -
Is Manipulating Elections With Terror Feasible?
Bruce Schneier, the dean of crypto and security processes generally, yesterday debunked this plot as "implausible".
A British diplomat (to Uzbekistan, an actual center of the Qaeda War) warns us to be skeptical of the plot. Especially its timing, which was premature for destroying a possible network, but right on time to steal headlines from a primary defeat from a leading neocon that drew defensive scare propaganda from Bush and Cheney even though it's a Democratic primary.
As we see more and more of our Republican government terrorizing us on their campaign schedule, we have more chances to turn against them, and fight our own war against terror ourselves, in our own minds and at the polls. We can replace anyone in the House of Representatives and 1/3 of the Senate. -
Re:Trust us! We're the government!
Here are some round figures. It's absolutely amazing to me that so many people actually support warrantless taps. That's why this country will eventually decend into some totalitarian government reign - because the people don't really have any will to stop it - rather they accept it.
Still can't get me head 'round that one... -
Re:Now if only the parents would cooperate...
You missed the important part. He said "parents that buy games for thier kids and complain about all of the ESRB labeled "mature" issues in said games...should just be brought up on child neglect charges." (emphasis mine).
If someone wants to buy their kid a game or a movie or a book, that is their own prerogative. But if you buy the kid a game, then complain about it then you are just dumb. And in that situation, you obviously did not want your kid playing such a game, yet you bought it anyway, even though it was clearly labelled, you weren't just negligent, you were a willful accomplice. The GP was being too kind. You should be charged as willfully contributing to the deliquency of a minor, using your own standards.
Now if you buy an M-rated game for your kid and never complain, then those charges aren't brought against you. But by complaining even though you bought the game, then you have shown you are a bad parent. -
Re:Trust us! We're the government!
This is not true. Where do you pull a figure like that from? Your ass?
Most people in the United States support the wiretapping program. And yet, you say it's false without presenting any evidence of your own (or perhaps obtaining it from the same region as the GP). I'm not aware of a poll that asks a question like, "Do you trust the current administration?" I think it would be a poor question, because it's too vague to be meaningful. Most of the time, we'd trust people so far in a certain situation; trust is not a binary issue. For example, I trust Bush not to intentionally bring down the USA, but I don't trust him to make accurate statements about intelligence. There are some things we can say, however. We can say that according to polls most people disapprove of the overall job that Bush is doing (see almost any recent presidential approval rating poll), and we can say they're almost evenly split on the question of whether warrentless wiretaps are ok (see, for example, this Newsweek poll). Most of the polls I've seen, but not all, show a slight majority for the opinion that these searches are a bad thing. Perhaps if you're going to attack people for a lack of facts, you should at least try to offer some to support your own claims.

Re:Just the other day
In the end what gets me the most is, even with this HIGH security in effect; some lady was able to casually carry a bottle of hand cream onto the plane without issue
Actually, as a smoker, I customarily carry a Bic lighter with me. Before I get to the security station, I take it out and put it in my carry-on, along with miscellaneous keys, loose change, packs of cigarettes, etc.
The only time Security ever bothered me was at JFK. Everywhere else I've gone, no problem.
By the way, from the looks of it, Pennsylvania makes some good money from selling the items "surrendered" by passengers at the airport. -

Re:Sigh*cough* Well, technically, we did
According to the MSNBC source linked:
Two members of a military bomb squad were treated for minor exposure, but no serious injuries were reported.... Two former weapons inspectors Hans Blix and David Kay said the shell was likely a stray weapon that had been scavenged by militants and did not signify that Iraq had large stockpiles of such weapons.
One single shell is not a weapon of MASS destruction. Just about any explosive bomb could do more harm. It's certainly not a justification for the invasion. The point is not that Iraq had sarin at one time; it's documented that they usd it on the Kurds, but whether they had it as part of their arsenal. If there had been a hidden stockpile, there would have been many more than this one incident since. -
Re:Securing power and control, not liberty...
That second "here" (for the population figures) should be this: here
-
Re:SighFrom the MSNBC article that Wikipedia cites:
Early indications suggest that two chemical components in the shell, which are designed to combine and create sarin during flight, did not mix properly or completely upon detonation, a U.S. official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Kimmitt, however, said a small amount of the nerve agent was released
Field-test results could be in error
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said the results were from a field test, which can be imperfect, and more analysis needed to be done. "We have to be careful," he told an audience in Washington Monday afternoon.
Rumsfeld said it may take some time to determine precisely what the chemical was.
Two former weapons inspectors -- Hans Blix and David Kay -- said the shell was likely a stray weapon that had been scavenged by militants and did not signify that Iraq had large stockpiles of such weapons.
Kimmitt said he believed that insurgents who planted the explosive didn't know it contained the nerve agent.
Everything after that is speculation about "What if there's more WMDs?!?", based on the premise that it actually was Sarin gas. It would be interesting to know whether it turned out to be Sarin or not, but that article sure doesn't say for certain.
Also note that even if it was Sarin, the analyst in the video with that article said it was from the Iran-Iraq war. Blix said it was scavenged by insurgents, who likely had it stored away for over 2 decades, and also, the analysts said the insurgents likely didn't even know they had a Sarin-loaded weapon. -
Re:Iran President != Hitler (why? No silly moustac
Just for grins, I'll answer for the AC...
"i think if country A had financed an 8 year blood bath and then taken over canada under a false premise"
The problem with such unrelated analogies that if you can't even get the name of Iraq and Iran straight, then who even knows what you are saying? Do you mean Canada, or did you mean to say China? Does any of it have anything to do with anything?
Canada == Iraq, US == Iran, Country A == US... So we financed an 8 year bloodbath betwixt Iran and Iraq, then invaded Iraq. ..."busheviks. you see, this guy is playing to the soviets"
IS playing to the Soviets? IS??? What does Lenin have to do with it?
soviets == Russia. Habits die hard?
"hitler headed a vastly superior military force and picked on the militarily weak in his society and the surrounding countries, none of whom was a real threat to hitler."
None of them was any threat to Hitler. That is, if you don't count Britain and the USSR. I guess we can't count those anyway. We're playing your make-believe history. Was Hitler surrounded by such weak countries as Grand Fenwicke, the Shire, Lilliput, and Oz?
USSR was no threat (In fact was an ally). Britain was no threat until Churchill came to power, because Chamberlain was a pussy. I don't think France or Poland or Austria was planning on invading Germany, or was even an actual threat... And really, the invasion of USSR was just stupid/meglomaniacal (never start a land war in Asia)
"the usa attacks iraq under a false premise"
What false premise is that? Specifically?
I assume this would be the WMDs that the government has categorically said that it turns out that Iraq didn't have.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7634313/
"...the soviet union and china....
Again with mentioning a country that does not even EXIST? Tell me, dear AC, I wonder if you have any revelations about the impact of Genghis Khan and his Mongol Hordes on this situation. Do you think Ceasar or Napoleon will send troops to Lebanon?
see above
"the next time a usa speech sounds good, who will listen?"
I bet if you were the speechwriter, and did not know the difference between Iran and Iraq, and constantly spoke of the Soviet Union as a modern global player, it sure would be quite interesting.
While I can't really disagree with your response... (AC had some issues with clarity) I do think that the invasion of Iraq and the truly horrible PR associated will damage the international credibility of the US
Basically if you are going to destroy the AC on points at least TRY and attack what he meant, rather then pedantically focussing on what he said, it wasn't that hard to figure out.
Disclaimer- I am not the original poster, nor do I necessarily agree with the points. I just get annoyed at mischaracterizations. -
Re:Mid-Term Elections
Yes, AMAZING isn't it?
From the article:
"NBC News has learned that U.S. and British authorities had a significant disagreement over when to move in on the suspects in the alleged plot to bring down trans-Atlantic airliners bound for the United States.
British officials knowledgeable about the case said British police were planning to continue to run surveillance for at least another week to try to obtain more evidence, while American officials pressured them to arrest the suspects sooner. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the case.
In contrast to previous reports, one senior British official suggested an attack was not imminent, saying the suspects had not yet purchased any airline tickets. In fact, some did not even have passports."
Those "minor elections" of which you speak could result in the Democrats controlling both the Senate and the House, breaking Bush's and the Republican control of the agenda in the US for the next two years.
Considering the tatics used by these guys in past US elections and their glee at beingable to use this incident top try to bring Bush's numbers up, I am not surprised in the least.
Bush is playing dangerous international games for domestic political advantage. What exactly do these guys have to do before you people excercise your 2nd Amendment rights? -

You can google to easily find more letters, like here.

Re:This is how terrorism is fought againstSo being "at war" allows anyone to violate Godwin's law, and somehow it isn't then an acknowledgement that they've just lost the argument?
Does "Yeah, well... your mom!" work in wartime too?I guess the big bad mans are just "misunderstood".
Not at all. They're pretty well understood by people who consider their motivations, try to see things from their point of view, and then use that insight to argue for countermeasures that might actually work, instead of "fighting" them by handing them more ammunition.
You're obviously bang alongside the "kick their arse until they stop" strategy, right? Well... the US's international reputation has dropped precipitously in the last few years, even after a huge sway of international sympathy had it up to record levels after 9/11. Your economy is tanking, your armed forces can't recruit enough people to even achieve replacement levels, and can't even afford to properly equip the ones it's got.
Finally, your greatest enemy in the "war" is obviously so happy with the progress so far that he's materially and deliberately trying to keep Bush in power as long as he can.
Tell me - this butch, macho ass-kicking strategy... do you think it's working? -
Sublte?
The US forced the UK's hands, making them arrest the suspects weeks or months before the Brits had intended. It will make the case harder to prove (they hadn't purchased any airline tickets, some of them hadn't even gotten their passports yet, they hadn't prepared any explosives and the UK--standing up to the US--in insisting on due process) but it fit right in with the Bush administration's plans to swiftboat Ned Lamont and use the arrests for fund raising, so they went ahead anyway.

Links, please
Everything about the memos was contested.
Please site your source for this. Mine is easy; for example at the time, MSNBC reported:
Yet, it was the White House -- not Kerry's campaign -- that distributed four memos from 1972 and 1973 from Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, now deceased, who was the commander of the 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron in Houston where Bush served. The White House obtained the memos from CBS News, which said it was convinced of their authenticity, and the White House did not question their accuracy.
andRecords released this year when Bush's military service re-emerged as a campaign issue contain no evidence that he showed up for duty at all for five months in mid-1972 and document only a few occasions later that year.
And with regards to this:
Nuts. They aren't all dead. We aren't talking about a Clinton scandal here. The typist, for example, has said that the memos were forgeries but that the sentiments they expressed were accurate. The people who would know even stated that the information in the memos was essentially correct.
In this case, the only people that would know were dead.--MarkusQ
P.S. As for all your Rove blather, I never said he was evil, or a "super genius", or any of the other stuff you're "rebutting." So save your defenses for someone who cares.

Let's not suspend our scepticism either
Some points:
1. The British authorities have a record of attempting to conjure 'terrorist threats' out of nothing in order to increase public support for unpopular foreign and domestic policy decisions.
2. If the UK really is under threat of "imminent attack" and there really is credible intelligence on which to base that belief, then shouldn't the PM be in the UK and not on a Caribbean beach?
One cannot be certain at this early stage that this is a mere PR exercise - but neither is it appropriate to suspend scepticism entirely. Especially given the track record of this goverment. -

Re:Or 'Best public schools in America'?
Actually, these are the best public high schools. Mostly NY, NJ, Ill; then places like NC & TX where there is a large tech corp presence.

Re:argumentum ad hominem
I agree - I'm going to try to condense your argument down, in my own words. Bayes is hardly necessary unless you want to get all formal (and Bayesian views suffer from the fallacy of equivalence for initial conditions, anyway - though natch, that's kind of inevitable).
Here's the thing: the flip side of the fallacy of ad hominem is the fallacy of equivalence, the notion that one should initially consider every single argument equally.
Yes, arguments should be considered on their merits and not upon their origins. However, in the absence of the complete picture (and truly, it's rarely possible to have that complete picture) it is often useful to consider the source and their ability to think clearly and without prejudice. This is especially true in complex matters such as global climate change, and highly speculative and ideological matters such as the impact of DRM.
So whether it's purely logical or not, it's certainly reasonable to give more consideration to a statement about evolution that came from, say, Stephen Jay Gould over one that comes from Pat Robertson.
So, in short, argumentum ad hominem should be viewed with suspicion but is not without its uses.
Oh yes - and Doctorow is kind of a self-important twit. If I want his opinions, I'll read his freakin' blog, I don't need it on /. too. -
I love it in the deep south
Makes me smile seeing all these comments about how people would never move to a backwards place like Alabama. I make a great salary, own a very nice home on several acres of land (that I can easily afford), and send my kids to one of the top schools in the country. http://msnbc.msn.com/id/7723397/site/newsweek/ We shop in the same stores, eat at the same resturants and watch the same movies that you find everywhere else in this country. So go ahead and look down on us poor backward southerners and keep telling yourself the quality of living is so much better in those over-taxed, crowded, crime ridden cities up north. I will continue to enjoy the peace and quite and breath fresh air as I laugh all the way to the bank.

Re:Seems like a moveon.org rant
The operative word here is HIS - that is he wouldn't do anything that HIS lawyers or advisors deem unconstitutional. Have you even listened to the tortured logic that the Attorney General uses when defending TORTURE?? Or Donald Rumsfelds musings about the issue? What about John Yoo or David Addington?

Yeah, and I know what you are going to say..they are terrorists and deserve it. First of all, torture is WRONG. We are the good guys, remember? Second, we have no way of knowing that they are guilty. They have no evidence presented, and no chance at a trial. What if someone just wants the reward, and turns you in as a Qaeda operative? There have been many allegations of this happening.
(/RANT)
The wiretaps are the same thing. The fact is that we have judicial oversight to prevent this kind of overreaching. The fact is that FISA gives you 72 hours to tap and then ask questions later, so judicial oversight wouldn'd hold up the tapping of a phone in an emergency. The fact is that they didn't want to bother with it! And BTW, this is not a liberal rant, this is a _libertarian_ rant. I remember when the GOP used to be the friend of the libertarians.... -
Re:Rest Assured
According to msnbc, the Iraq war is costing $200 million per day. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11880954/ A half day of war funding would take care of NASA's immediate shortfall.

*Shrug*. My country has been targetted by Islamic terrorists for about two decades. They are backed by a Chinese/US/Saudi Arabia supported, armed and funded nuclear power. The Islamic terrorists already have nukes. Believe me, it really can't get worse from where I sit.

MSNBC = .82NBC + .18MSN
I think the concept behind MSNBC was originally to be a sort of tech TV channel, as it emerged right around when the internet was coming into the mainsteam But that whole concept flopped.. and eventually they just became a 24 hours news network.
Originally, the ownership of MSNBC was 50% microsoft and 50% NBC, but back in late 2005 NBC bought 32% of microsoft's share in the company. So, Microsoft really doesn't have a controlling stake in the company.
Although... NBC has always said that Microsoft doesn't have editorial control. -
Veto history
Bush is the first president in modern history who has never vetoed a bill
Flat-out false. Given that, how much of the rest of the article can I trust?
http://clerk.house.gov/histHigh/Congressional_Hist ory/vetoes.html
The last President who never vetoed was James A. Garfield, elected in 1880. I'd call that non-modern history. So the article was accurate at the time of publication.
In my fact checking, I see that Bush now has 1 veto, rejecting additional funding for stem cell research, just over a week ago. The Globe article was written in April.
So the article was correct. -
Let me be the first American to ...
give a loud fuck off to Kieren McCarthy for this little tid bit of editorializing, "That the US government recognises it has to transition its role if it wants to keep the internet in one piece (and it then has to sell that decision to a mindlessly patriotic electorate)"
It (he/she?) knows very little about American culture and hasn't seen recent polls about the dissatisfaction of the electorate with the present administration. -
IRA or 401K is your answer
good article here, it generalizes alot but should get you on the right track: Start on your first $1 million at age 16 (Yes, I know you're not 16, but if you have a couple thousand just laying around it is good to use this as a guide) You could also go get a CD. I have seen 7 month CDs for 5.45 % and 12 mo CDs for 5.25 % or more. Like another poster said, go talk to UBS or another firm, not Slashdot.

Re:Hmm
This is why small shops will often have some minimum transaction to accept credit.
Of course, in the case of Visa and MasterCard, this is a violation of the agreement that the store signed with the credit card company. See Visa's FAQ and MasterCard's FAQ. For more information, check out this article. (As an aside, it's interesting that the store is prohibited from demanding identification in most cases.)

Allow me...."They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -- Ben Franklin, 1759
My recollection is the Franklin spoke those words regarding the stationing of troops in people's homes.
Also, I'm forced to wonder what the people who filed this suit, or many on Slashdot for that matter, would think about the actions of the good Mr. Franklin regarding the private communications of persons hostile to the United States living within it, as noted below? The Continental Congress regularly received quantities of intercepted British and Tory mail. On November 20, 1775, it received some intercepted letters from Cork, Ireland, and appointed a committee made up of John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Johnson, Robert Livingston, Edward Rutledge, James Wilson and George Wythe "to select such parts of them as may be proper to publish." The Congress later ordered a thousand copies of the portions selected by the Committee to be printed and distributed. A month later, when another batch of intercepted mail was received, a second committee was appointed to examine it. Based on its report, the Congress resolved that "the contents of the intercepted letters this day read, and the steps which Congress may take in consequence of said intelligence thereby given, be kept secret until further orders."
You also have to wonder.... are there any groups we have to watch out for in addition to Al Qaeda, such as Hamas and Hezbollah? If so, what might they be up to? Do we need to worry about sleeper cells? Anyone who might be taking up arms against the US? Do we need to worry about our peaceful neighbors to the north? Hmmmm.... -
Yeah, Ok.Call me skeptical, but a scientific summary from Fox News? Never mind that probably all fears are learned rather than inherited behavior (I'm not even going to start to argue about that), this summary contains gems such as:
-Humans are descended from those same primates.
Another poster mentioned the unscientific nature of this sentence; "might be" would be better language than "are."
-Today, the only other threats faced by primates are raptors, such as eagles and hawks, and large carnivores, such as bears, large cats and wolves, but these animals evolved long after snakes did.
Can anyone name an area in the world where wolves and monkeys coexist? Jungles are full of large cats, and thanks to a foolish Barbary macaque in a Dutch zoo I now know that bears and primates coexist in parts of Asia. But wolves? Perhaps millions of years ago. But then let's hypothesize that it was giant carnivorous pigs that drove the evolution.

Re:In related news
What? MSN's search doesn't have anything on the page other than a search box. You do know you can just go to search.msn.com, right? In fact, in Opera, you can just add a new search using:
http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=%25s
And not even need to go there.
Also, if you add this to your user CSS:
div#ads_rightC {
display: none;
}
div#ads_topC {
display: none;
}It will get rid of the ads in the search results.

Re:How Far Into the Rabbit Hole Are We?
As enemy combatants, the US can do whatever they want with them because they have no rights.
It looks like they might actually be fixing this one. One step in the right direction after six years running full tilt in the wrong one, but I'll take what I can get at this point.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13592908/
Of course, according to the story, Frist is going to try to pass a law that says essentially the same thing. Why he doesn't think it'll be just as spanked by the SC is beyond me. -
