Re:Remember
We can see that with the claim that Trump is encouraging people to kill Hillary again. All he said was, she is against guns, let her go for a while without armed bodyguards. Hillary should have been indicted, and Sanders running instead, but the investigation into her was purposefully hobbled right from the beginning. Anyone else, the evidence would have been put to a grand jury. While not the best source, this list is pretty damning, as was her refusal to turn over the actual server, and instead sort through the emails herself to see what would be turned over, which she had no right to do.

Democrats too
[Republicans are] all owned by corporations and do their bidding.
Have you been avoiding the news recently?
Google Clinton and "pay for play", or Clinton and "foundation", or Clinton and "Wikileaks". (Or just wait a week or so for that last one.)
Here's cash flowing into the Clinton Foundation from corporations benefiting from selling Uranium to Russia.
Here's cash flowing into the Clinton Foundation from corporations benefiting from selling dual use technology (private and military uses) to Russia.
Here's $17 million that disappeared from the Clinton Foundation.
We've complained for years that the political elite is owned by the corporations, and that there's no difference between having a D or R after a candidate's name.
Don't blame corruption on just the Republicans, it's not intellectually honest and distracts people from the true problems.

Re:Just stop raising cowsSure, eating healthier has its benefits, but not everyone is able to survive on a strict vegan, or even vegetarian, diet.
My Vegan Diet Almost Killed Me talks about orthorexia, which stems from "righteous fixation on healthy eating". Lets not forget Death by Veganism where two vegan parents were convicted of murder, involuntary manslaughter, and cruelty to their 6 month old child. Anecdotally, I have a vegetarian friend whose pediatrician told her she needed to start eating meat to promote the health and growth of her infant. The diet has worked well for her for years (decades?), yet when faced with breastfeeding, it just wasn't high enough on proteins the kid could use for growing up.
Everyone's body chemistry is different and we all have different dietary needs. You could have also pointed out those regions whose diets typically result in longer lifetimes (read: basically every diet that isn't "American"). As can be seen here:
The lower mortality from ischemic heart disease among vegetarians was greater at younger ages and was restricted to those who had followed their current diet for >5 y. Further categorization of diets showed that, in comparison with regular meat eaters, mortality from ischemic heart disease was 20% lower in occasional meat eaters, 34% lower in people who ate fish but not meat, 34% lower in lactoovovegetarians, and 26% lower in vegans. There were no significant differences between vegetarians and nonvegetarians in mortality from cerebrovascular disease, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, or all other causes combined.
From this study we see that an asian diet (lots of vegetables, some fish, very little red meat) is actually better that strict veganism.
While I haven't actually read all of the articles you linked, I would suggest that lowering the amount of deep fried foods, fatty red meat, and focusing more on fish and vegetables would be promote overall health for a wider number of people.

"Canada does not have an FBI equivalent"
Everything that the FBI is capable of doing, the RCMP can do just as well. I'd call it equivalent.
"We like our policy makers separate from enforcement that you very much"
You think policy makers and enforcement officials don't talk to each other? Cute.
Yep!
A tip from the FBI triggered what Canadian police on Thursday called a “race against time” as police scrambled to identify and locate a balaclava-wearing would-be suicide bomber they feared was on the verge of committing a terror attack in Canada.

Re:I don't think that's the point
I find this angle of attack amusing because most people would only dream to be as much of a "business failure" as Trump. We know the track record of lottery winners, the fact is even with seed money, most don't do anything with it or fail. And of course its absurd when comparing to candidates with ZERO business experience of note. Hillary's rigged elections didn't start with Sanders, she was given a safe seat once a democrat had stepped down by the establishment machine, and then she was simply appointed for her next post. Her only success is corruption, aka pay to play via the Clinton foundation where billions have been funneled through for less than charitable purposes. But of course these things go uncovered in any real way because it takes an hour just to explain the basics. Where's your evidence?
Trump doesn't want his friend Putin and his friends to get tied to this too much.
Did you do know that Clinton (as SoS) sold 20% of American Uranium reserves to Russia, and coincidentally the Clinton foundation received massive donations from Russia?
Did you know that Clinton (as SoS) sold advanced technology to Russia and coincidentally received "tens of millions" of dollars in donations to the Clinton foundation? (Dual-use technology, things that can be used for both industry and military.)
Did you know that Clinton (as SoS) organized and helped build the "Russian Silicon Valley", which opened many US companies to industrial espionage? (17 of 28 companies, both Russian and American, made financial commitments to the Clinton Foundation or sponsored speeches by Bill Clinton.)
Out of curiosity, when you say Trump and Putin are friends, what's your evidence?

And this just in
And this just came in.
Apparently the Clinton foundation took in tons of donation money in return for letting the Russians get access to advanced technology.
From that article:
“The Clintons, they get their donations and speaking fees in the millions of dollars. The Russians get access to advanced US technology. The tech companies [that participated in the reset, including Cisco, Intel, Microsoft] get special access to the Russian market and workforce.
“But the American people get nothing. In fact, we get a rival — Russia — with enhanced technological capabilities. At best, that makes them a tougher competitor [in legitimate commerce],” Schweizer said.
“At worst, they get a more robust military, with technologies that we helped develop, and that can be sold to our enemies.”
Sad.

Re:Tough call
I didn't know who Thiel was before this happened, and now that I do I still support that side. All Thiel did was fund Hogan in the case over what Gawker actually did, deserved punishment for, and would probably have gotten a slap on the wrist for otherwise. It isn't like he orchestrated some 8 year long clandestine master plan to manipulate Gawker into posting sex tapes and ignoring court orders.
You left out lying to the court:
Judge blasts Nick Denton for lying about Gawker stock value
A Florida judge said Gawker founder Nick Denton “misled” the court about the value of his company — and punished him by ruling that Hulk Hogan could start seizing his assets.
Denton told Judge Pamela Campbell in June that Gawker Media Group, Inc. was worth $276 million.
...Based on that representation Campbell agreed to the offer—only to learn later that the stock was worth closer to $30 million.
“Mr Dentonmisled this court in connection with [his] pledge of Gawker Media Group, Inc. stock by concealing material information about the value of that stock which a reasonable person, under the circumstances, should have disclosed,” Campbell says in the order.
What Denton did not disclose is that he’d already prepared to file bankruptcy on behalf of Gawker and had pledged to sell the company for just $90 million.
That sale price meant that Denton’s share was worth under $30 million—not the $81 million he cited to the court.

Here's how:
More severely retarded politicians get into government and make their populations vulnerable by refusing to see blatant cause-effect relationships between a global terrorism movement and the ideology driving it. All across Europe and North America there are politicians so desperate to prove their own tolerance that they are rapidly importing into their societies people who despise the principles those societies were built upon. Then when the imported persons commiot violent acts, these same know-nothing elites lie their asses off about what happened and hide evidence, even denying basic facts after the public becomes aware.
Just look at the German government. They imported this stuff into Germany and on New Years as over a thousand German women were raped or molested by immigrants the Germena governemt exercised more effort covering it up than protecting its own people.
Look at France, where it has now been found that the French government hid the details of the tortures that happened at the Bataclan massacre.
Look at the Obama administration that tries to re-paint every Muslim terrorist attack as "gun violence", "man-caused disaster", "workplace violence" and so forth. This very same administration rushed to the nearest microphone to denounce any opponent as a racist or bigot (as long as he/she is NOT Muslim).
The truly voluntarily-menatlly-crippled are the ones that refuse to see the obvious connection between a belief system that teaches that anybody who disagrees must be subjugated or killed, that no man-made law is valid, that a woman is 1/2 or 1/4 the value of a man depending on if she is testifying in court or exercising any other right, etc. and the violent terrorism its adherents have been carrying out all over the globe. The idiots are the ones who have no solution as the bodies pile up like wood at a sawmill and who only get exercised when somebody points out that the emperor is naked (i.e. Islam is as its name indicates: a religion of SUBMISSION, not "peace") and that it has a centuries-long reputation for violent jihad pricisely because it's "prophet" specifically taugh and practised violent jihad. The complete horse posteriors are the people who would denounce somebody like Gingrich who ties cause to effect, who whine about how mean he is, or what a jerk he is, while having absolutely no solution to the problem of muslims who can, at any moment, decide to become serious Muslims and faithfully carry out the commands of their prophet to go on a killing spree.
The US Marine Corps was created by the Continental Congress in November 1775, even before the US was officially an independent nation. Marines are called "leathernecks" for a reason: they had leather collars on their uniforms to make it harder to behead them. They were originally sent into two struggles: (a) the fight against the British, and (b) the fight against the Barbary Pirates (Muslims who were taking American merchants as hostages) which is where the leather collars came into the story. The Marine Corps sing about the "shores of Tripoli" in memory of those early fights in Libya rescuing Americans from Muslim pirates.
The Christian Crusades started in response the the Islamic take-over of the Biblical Holy Lands and the subjugation of the Christians there and the sacking of Christian churches.
Islam has a demonstrated history of wave after wave of bloody massacres and violence ever since it was founded about 7 centuries after Christianity arose. History teaches that it

Re: I thought they were too busy...
First... get with the times, calling her 'Hillary' is sexist.... doubly so when you only used last names of two other people.
Are you still going on about this email thing
I wasn't, I was replying to a comment of someone who was... and also citing a quote from the FBI director who currently has an investigation into the matter.
when there are real scandals like the Pfizer donations after Hillary decided to drop penalties and all the stuff about Hillary that came out with the Manning leak?
There are also the whole Clinton Cash allegations... and thanks to the FBI having her email server and having allegedly been able to recover all of the deleted emails, we may soon hear more about that just as soon as they interview her and wrap up their investigation.
Funny how the email was not a big deal with Palin but it is with Hillary
Nice false equivalency you've got there... or are you suggesting Palin not only had access to classified information, but allowed it to traverse her unsecured private account as we know Clinton did?
The reason for Palin not being a scandal is probably for the same reason the Governor of Washington state admitting to using private email to conduct official business from time to time, and it's not just the matter of access to/misuse of classified information... but state vs federal law.
but it's still just being lazy instead of going after real scandals that are far worse.
Somehow, I imagine the FBI is able to walk & chew bubblegum at the same time, and given the # of agents that are on the case I am sure they have enough resource to investigate multiple directions related to Clinton's lawbreaking.

Obama continues doing everything that...
Republicans predicted he would do, and which he and his supporters previously said he would not. Every time his critics predict he will do something contrary to the national interest, he and his moronic sycophant supporters insist he won't and call those critics liars. Then a year or more later he does it. For progressives, the ends justify the means and there are no fixed standards, particularly for honesty. Now he and his people are so arrogant they are publicly laughing at how stupid and gullible their own liberal friends in the media are and how easily they were manipulated on the Iran deal.
Nothing new here; the record of Obama administration dishonesty and making Uncle Sam wearing a "kick me" sign on his back continues.
Who does Obama trust with nukes? Russia, China, Iran, North Korea... (the evil tyrannical governments)
Who does Obama not trust with nukes? The men and women of the US Military (who volunteer to serve the Constitution and follow the orders of leaders elected by the people)

Not just laptops
Some official statistics may look decent, but the labor-force participation (a figure not prone to fudging like politically redefined unemployment) is the lowest it has been since 1978.
With over 94 million not even looking for work — and thus not included in the unemployment statistics — we can afford less and less non-necessities.
With the constantly rising food-prices and the incomes of those still working stalling, expect further declines.
Socialism — measured as the part of the GDP spent by government — sucks.

After waiting, I just bought an Apple Watch
I've been a long-time (and happy) Pebble wearer, from the first Kickstarter model to the Pebble Time Steel (color). But I'd been keeping an eye on Apple Watch, and last week I made the jump.
Why?
The biggest driver is that Apple Watch has amazing app support, while Pebble's app support are "OK". Not only does the Apple Watch have many more apps, the apps are better integrated. In part this is because of the APIs (Pebble's SDKs are very good, but Apple's are better, and very easy for iOS developers to work with), but I think the largest issue is market share - developers are clearly putting more effort into Apple Watch apps than Pebble Apps. From reports, Apple Watch is something like 75% of the smart watch market share (e.g. http://nypost.com/2015/07/30/a...), making it hard for developers to justify investing in competing platforms. And Pebble, while having an early lead in developers (very nice SDK, etc.) is showing very little new third-party app support - most Pebble apps are released and then never updated, and Pebble having layoffs after a series of price drops is probably not a great sign of their future.
In addition, the quality of the Apple Watch hardware (case, bands and display), are worlds better than Pebble. It's a beautiful watch and band, with a brilliant display, while the Pebble Time Steel is a good looking watch case, the display is quite slow and washed out. So yes, Apple Watch costs a little more ($299 is the least expensive Apple Watch which is metal body, plastic band, color display, while the cheapest Pebble (plastic, B&W) is $99, $199 for the Pebble Time Round, $249 for the Pebble Time Steel).
Really the main thing going for Pebble is the lower price for the low-end units, and longer battery life. Both of those are good things, and I think that Pebble will have a market segment just based on that. At least, I hope so. But the nicer Pebbles cost almost as much as the Apple Watch, and for battery life, the Apple Watch lasts two days, and charges so fast that I can wear it all day and night (for sleep monitoring), and charge sufficiently in the morning while getting dressed that it's not an issue.
My conclusion was that I am only going to wear one watch, and I want that watch to have a great display, and I'm willing to put up with charging every day. So Apple Watch wins.

Hillary Clinton's conspiracy to migrate info
It sure looks like Hillary Clinton engaged in a conspiracy to migrate classified information off of the secure network and onto her insecure email server. She instructed subordinates to summarize information and send it as new emails, which of course were not marked as classified.
She's not dumb and she's a lawyer, so she knew what she was doing was illegal.
In the first e-mail, Clinton curtly instructs Sullivan, "It's a public statement. Just email it." Minutes later, Sullivan responds, "Trust me, I share your exasperation. But until ops converts it to the unclassified email system, there is no physical way for me to email it. I can't even access it."
"ops" means the "operations" group in the State Department, where apparently Hillary Clinton had people reading emails on the secure system and then sending a summary to her insecure server. "converting" to the unclassified email system.
http://nypost.com/2016/01/24/hillarys-team-copied-intel-off-top-secret-server-to-email/
Some of the emails were "SAP" classified. Some were "HCS-O".
http://bigstory.ap.org/e19abf78b6fe43e7b7719f059901630d
If that last story is correct, Hillary Clinton's personal email server could have lead to disastrous consequences or death for real human beings. We're way, way beyond anything excusable.

Re:Delusion of "transgender"
a gay man is XY, has male body parts, and self-identifies as male
Ah, so the chromosomes and the body parts do play their part. Very good... Unfortunately, you chose to add the "self-identification" part into it too — despite my warning against it.
Because, if — as logical consistency demands — we take your approach to other cases of delusion, we'll have to agree, that this White woman is not White, and this human is not human. They both do not identify as what they appear, and thus — by your definition — are not that... (Not to mention the various other sufferers, who similarly "self-identify as" Napoleon Bonaparte and similar figures.)
Having thus shown your approach as self-inconsistent, I don't even need to creatively redefine, what "winning an argument" means — nor claim to identify as victor in this little debate of ours. I simply am. Remember to logout.
I did invent it.
Thank you for this admission. But we are still conversing in English and reinventing terms to mean something new is not acceptable.
-
Delusion of "transgender"
There are simply men and women. If, despite having been born with distinctive genitalia, someone considers himself to be of the opposite sex, then they suffer from a delusion:
a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary
My recent argument with one such person ended, when I asked him to define terms: what is the definition of the term "man"?
If you choose to reply to this, be sure to include your definition. And, no, do not try to imply some difference between "sex" and "gender" — they are synonyms (except when talking about grammar rules).
And, no, contrasting what you are vs. how you identify is bullshit too — unless you are prepared to treat this human as a cat, and this White woman as Black.

Your mental visual is entertaining. It's not like you describe it but does indeed happen that I am looked askance as I described.

Nothing wrong with waterboarding
Would you or have worked on tech which could enable torture?
You may be expecting an unqualified "no", but the right answer is it depends. The unacceptable kinds of torture are those, which leave the subject dead or damaged. (And I mean real damage — not as in "needs counseling"). It may be useful to confine the definition of "torture" to such methods only — as was done by some people already.
Waterboarding is certainly not damaging — a rough arrest by a police may be far more harmful to the suspect — and still be justified. Likewise, a prolonged criminal investigation may be far more damaging psychologically. And don't even get me started on the exploding use of "Hellfire" missiles (pun intended) by the highest-placed opponent of waterboarding:
no president has ever relied so extensively on the secret killing [emphasis mine -mi] of individuals to advance the nation’s security goals.
Don't know about you, but I'd rather be waterboarded by mistake, than killed by the same mistake.
Dealing with the government is rarely pleasant, but waterboarding does not cross any real lines. If the duly-elected President charged with protecting us deems it necessary, his subordinates better get on with it. Or resign. As George Orwell pointed out decades ago:
"Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."
Where does that put you morally and ethically?
Whether it is useful is another question, but "morally and ethically" there is nothing wrong with it. Deal with that.

What is public is the request was for a computer related solution that would fit on any gov hard drive and open any branded phone.
Portable to take to any city, state, county, other nation and fully access any waiting phone.

Re:The all writs act is probably unconstitutional
Yes it would have been interesting to see the demand to be conscripted per phone to having to create gov ready software for all phones of a generation within a brand.
The gov ready master key that gave a gov worker or contractor access to any phone in a generation from any gov computer.
