Named his price...
Captain Kirk's doppleganger can just name his price and have that internet site he endorses foot the bill for the construction of this iconic piece of science fiction history!
:DJoking of course, ^^; but realistically I don't see how it could be built without the saucer section or the engines drooping or snapping off due to the weight imbalance.
:( Adding external support struts to hold them up in place would destroy the versimilitude of the whole thing. -
Re:I've got a better idea.

Yes, but . . .
Will they be recruiting William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy to help promote it?

Re:Kirk's thoughts,. . .
Nimoy... can't have... can't have... my PriceLine job.

Re:Is it always a deal?
Now with 2 jobs, and 3 kids, I think a few bucks here and there is worth a little more time with my family.
Well, sometimes looking for a deal on the internet will actually allow you to spend more time with family. Flight deals we found on priceline and hotel deals on orbitz allowed us to take a family vacation we normally couldn't afford. There's probably more tourist sites offering good deals. Thanks to the internet the tourist industry has become very competitive. -
Re:Hematite
You can find Spock here these days. Why, I saw him there on TV just earlier tonight!

Schneier (secretly) invented e-commerce!
The back of his previous book, 'Secrets and Lies', contained enthusiastic quotations from Mary Meeker, dotcom cheerleader at Morgan Stanley, and from Jay Walker, the founder of priceline.com. Now 'Beyond Fear' elicits yet another effusive remark from Jay Walker, now founder of U.S. HomeGuard. Is this because Schneier and Walker share the patent that invented buyer-driven e-commerce? Acknowledge the affiliation, Mr. Schneier...you aren't just slightly ashamed of this patent, are you?

Mr. Shatner,
Is the priceline.com supercomputer a Cray, a beowulf cluster, made by IBM.. what is it? The Top 500 list makes no mention of this so-called "super computer" -
Console requires airplane
So I strongly recommend doing the installation of ssh on the console if it's not included with your operating system.
Yes, but physical access to the console may cost hundreds of dollars per session. I guess that's just the price of data security. Are the data security companies in bed with the commercial airlines?

Plenty of hostels in SFSan Francisco has plenty of hostels where you can stay for $20 or less per night. Caltrain costs a few bucks to get you to Santa Clara.
I'm sure you could stay somewhere on the peninsula for cheap as well, but let's face it, everything south of Daly City is a suburban hellhole with jack to do at night - or in the daytime for that matter. SF's not that much better for nightlife, but at least it's civilized.
It shouldn't cost you more than $250 for a flight from anywhere in the continental US if you can book a couple weeks in advance. Look at Southwest, Priceline, and the various travel specials out there.
