In some states, illegal immigrants--by state policy--can get driver's licenses. You can register to vote at the DMV without any form of ID showing you are a US citizen. If any system dealing with PII, finances, etc. in your life had such a low barrier on security, would you use it? I don't think you would.

They really buried the lede in this story. See that part where it says the NRA gave Pai the rifle, but he couldn't bring it on stage with him at CPAC? Do you know why Pai couldn't bring his prize with him on stage at CPAC? Because CPAC, with all it's gunhumping and masturbatory 2nd Amendment cosplay is a gun-free zone.

I love everything about this story of the "tech summit" at Trump Tower.

1). Trump actually wanted Twitter to give him a "Crooked Hillary" emoji. Think about that. He wanted a special emoji.
2) He called Clinton "Crooked Hillary" while paying $25 million to settle a court case for bilking money from his customers.
3) Because Twitter wouldn't make his "Crooked Hillary" emoji, he punished them by not inviting him to his "tech summit"
4) He tells the assembled billionaires at the "tech summit" that he "wants to help them do well". THEY'RE ALREADY FUCKING BILLIONAIRES.
5) In the photos of the "tech summit" Jeff Bezos, Larry Page, Tim Cook and Elon Musk look like they're ready to jump out of a window because of whatever Trump is saying.
6) Just yesterday, Donald Trump had a summit with Kanye West, who is only days out of a psychiatric hold.

.The United Kingdom has left the European Union.

No, it hasn't. It's had a referendum on leaving the EU, but there are still some legislative steps that would have to be taken. First, Parliament would have to vote on it, and like in the US, they're a lot of people with varying interests, some of them monetary. They could say, "Let's have another referendum, because the people voted wrong" or they could say, "No you stupid people, we're not going to do what you want".

This is the UK. They have a long history of ignoring what people want. Throw the cosmopolitan financial interests of the elite into the mix, and there's going to be a lot of pressure to ignore this vote. If they try to do that, though, it's going to get very ugly. Even uglier than it already has.

The bloodbath in the UK is not over, by a long shot.
