Senseboard develops and manufactures a wearable
data entry platform to enable users of mobile
communications systems to effectively input
text or data in practically any environment. -
Re:Yeah, well
And don't forget the 21" monitor.
That's achievable - eyeglass monitors or Head mounted displays
And a full keyboard and a mouse.
For flat surfaces:

Alternatively:
Senseboard - which doesn't project a keyboard at all
or
Lightweight eyetracker with any number of On screen keyboards -
Just strange...
Talking about strange keyboards, I was flying with SAS yesterday, and in their in-flight magazine (I was dead bored) they had an article about senseboard
Kinda cool actully... and as ergonomical as you make it :)
Typing in thin air while wearing silver clothes is what will do in the future anyways, so why fight it? -
Re:Tactile problems
Not sure I get you completely, but you might be interested in something like this when it comes out.

Keyboarding Alternatives
I don't know anyone that can write as fast as someone types, unless the person typing is a typing newbie.
How about a keyboard like this that can be projected onto any surface.
Or perhaps the senseboard?
I think these are much more plausible than a pen. Perhaps a pen with voice recognition would be faster...
I use a wacom tablet (which uses a pen) to play Unreal Tournament. You can place your shots much more accurately. -
I like this one better
I don't know, might be the huge pencil sharpener looking projector but, I like the keyboard talked about on this story much better than this new one.

and match it with...Now match it up with an invisible keyboard and one of those video-screen-eyewear things, all talking to each other with bluetooth, connecting with 802.11b / G3 to the net...
Who needs a PocketPC or Palm when you can just take your whole computer with you?

Virtual keyboard
The virtual keyboard "Senseboard" was really cool. It won best technology award. See here

Re:Vaporous... Very, Very VaporousAgreed.
The list of buzzwords on their press page caused my head to swim! Just a brief quote:SenseboardTM contains sensor technology, artificial intelligence, bluetooth, a DC-port and a language processor. SenseboardTM is easy to use, requires no training, and does not decrease typing speed or accuracy. SenseboardTM together with a PDA, a Smart Phone or a Wearable Computer and a Head Mounted Display provides the user with a full-size computer that fits in a pocket.
Just below that quote on their press page, they say that they will be demonstrating their product daily at COMDEX in LasVegas this week -- November 12-16. Are there any Slashdotters at COMDEX right now who have seen this thing in action?
