Re:Required
You mean Carlos Estevez.

Luther Arkwright
ONe of the greatest works of graphic literature has been picked up for movie adaptations on more than one occasion. I'd love to see this adapted, but then again It's probably impossible to do it justice....

Re:Dear god no...Thing Detail
The Thing's left hand seems to be separating from his arm.
Lousy costume. Doesn't look near beefy enough to be the thing. The probably should have CGI'ed him. Original Look
And someone needs to tell Jessica to stand up straight. A superhero needs to have at least a little athletic look to them.

Watch the SuperBowl for the Marvel-Visa ad...
Visa's doing one of their check card commercials featuring Marvel superheroes...sounds like they're putting some money into the costumes, so I'm hoping it's good (and funny). There are details for the ad here. You know the script already...
"The Avengers can't worry about cash when they're fighting Ultron, so under his shield, Captain America carries the Visa Check Card. Because when Thor wants warm mead, the Broom Street Bar will take reservations, but they won't take American Express". -
Re:Sounds good, but...both WILL be screwed up. it's alan moore. you can't adapt him to film by hollywood standards. Remember League of Extraordianry Gentlemen? we can only pray that hollywood is sucked into the ground before they are released.
and the Wonderfully Talentless Woschowsli brothers are writting V for Vendetta.
"the action-heavy script was written by the "Matrix" writers."

this does not bode well.
Expect Keanu to return in the mask... -
Re:Dear god no...The cast seems to be taken from a big jar with bingo balls with names of bland young actors and actresses.
The guy from the Gillette commercials seems to have been drawn twice by the Bingo machine and plays
both the roles of Mr Fantastic and Human Torch. -
Re:Dear god no...Jessica Alba may be a fine piece of ass, but she is totally wrong for this film, as is the rest of the cast.
There're some stills here. Mr Fantastic at least looks too young, he should be mid 30s at least, he was a patriarchal figure. And I never recognised Jessica as a blonde....

Re:Forget the game
I mistakenly linked to the Game Guide, which probably gets marked as being cross platform. Forums like Super Hero Hype have posts which describe the difference between the two versions. The PC version is intended for a younger audience, so more experienced gamers might be more satisfied with one of the console versions.
I can't complain about the moderation, I forgot to say "Micro$oft" or talk about using WiFi on my Cowboy Bebop Mysql. -
Re:I'm confused...
according to this, they're shooting spider-man in chinatown tonight at 7pm. I guess the super villain in Spidey 2 is SARS.

more info
More info that Drudge doesn't mention...

I'm confused...
I see Marvel has a point with the merchandising, that they are supposed to do most of it with the joint agreement. I'm not sure how Sony is violating Marvel's rights on the Spiderman franchise because as far as I can tell, they're making movies.
This is a really horrible report, so Google News comes to the rescue and I found a fanboy site with a lot more information.
Hope it helps, because the Drudge report was just confusing. -
Probably not true...

Hulk trailer and pics are online now
Yep, the Hulk commercial will be in the first quarter. Universal has made ad banners for fans to place on their sites to advertise it.
Of course, it's also online now, thanks to a leak at Universal's website. You can find a link at Superhero Hype!
For a few shots of the big guy (including a closeup of the face), check out this page.
Even though I've seen it on my computer, I'm still itching to see it tonight on the big screen. -

Here's the rumour killer
Neo is not Superman. Ratner is directing. Hopkins is Jor-El.
-
Reeves rumor; Anthony Hopkins
According to this article at Superhero Hype, the Reeves thing is just a rumor and not actually true--though all the article really has is hearsay, so it's hard to say whether it is or not. There's a an interview with Brett Ratner in Latino Review, where he mentions he wants Anthony Hopkins for Jor-El, but he doesn't mention Keanu there.

Actors who might be considered for the roles..
There might be lot of rumours about who is playing Superman in the next movie. Nicholas Cage, as rumoured once, is NOT playing the role in the next Superman movie (thank the lord!). Now the news is that Brendan Fraser might be the lead guy for the next Superman edition. An interesting choice to say the least.
I really don't wanna see the TV Superman guy in the movies. He was just a wuss.
For Batman they need someone different than the previous types that played the role. The news about the movie is that Superman is the goody type and Batman is more dark, vengeful. So if they can pull this off, it'll spin Spider-Man in its own web. -

Spiderman 2
Another major difference is that AOTC was the second part of the beginning of the movies which we know. It took a lot more thinking and knowledge of the past and future to make it more than some "shoot up parts of space" scifi. Spiderman was new, fresh, and more relational. When Spiderman 2 comes out, which it has been announced, I will be surprised if it can gross over 100 million. Sequels never do as well as the original, and that truly speaks for the brilliance of George Lucas. Now we shall see how Matrix 2 and 3 do this fall...
