Replacing GMail is gonna be a hassle and take a long time because I'm not using an independent domain. Weaning myself off YouTube is gonna super difficult.
What a bunch of hypocrisy.
Let's check your link for alternatives to Android...
Google Play Store alternative
Currently the best Google Play Store alternative is to use F-Droid and then go through the Yalp store.
As explained on the official site, F-Droid is an installable catalog of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) applications for the Android platform. So the best alternative to Android is to continue to use Android.
Under that logic and reasoning, you should have no troubles at all!
You can replace Gmail with Gmail, and you can wean yourself off YouTube by switching to YouTube! Then you will be Google free and happy, right?

Re:TRUMP IS A TRAITOR
Video 1 has Obama telling current Russian president to wait until after the election (in 2012) before he can do what Putin wants. Traitor
Video 2 has Obama saying its impossible for Russia to interfere with the election, therefore he isn't going to do anything to stop it. Today Obama is complaining that Russia interfered with the election that he refused to admit at the time was possible. Traitor, he knew it happens and let it happen.
There you go, 2 clips of Obama acting like an actual Traitor. Not made up shit like you idiots on the left seem to make up.

Re:inb4 systemd trollship
You still don't know that systemd is modular?
Speaking of belly-laughs...
Modular software requires well defined interfaces that separate abstraction from implementation.
A good anti-example is DBus, a "module" that most of systemd cannot live without.
Go ahead, try to write something compatible with DBus without looking at that list of "D-Bus secret internal implementation details".Modular
... You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. -
Re:That's what he says NOW...
The rest of the car was a piece of shit.
That's not what he said at all.
My favourite part (although other teardowns had already discovered this) was the battery pack. The more capable you want to make your BMS, the more individual cell connections and wires you need, the more the per-cell circuitry, etc. Every connection, every wire, every circuit, etc adds expense, so there's a strong incentive to have as few connections as possible. Tesla gets around this by having the battery pack be basically two gigantic, two meter long PCBs. The cells are like capacitors on a huge motherboard. They can route power wherever they want, whenever they want, and do whatever they want to it. Cell balancing is essentially always perfect, to within the degree of measurement error.
Summing up all of his videos: Munro had some issues with the build quality of the first car he tore down (one of the first off the line), and tore into Tesla over that (making him popular among shorts... making his statement now about eating crow all the more amusing). He tore down more Model 3s later, and noted that the build quality improved over time. Even early on, though, even before he started getting into the electronics, he said the performance and handling was incredible. He stated in particular that whoever designed the suspension could be a Formula 1 prince.

Re: irony
Hello? Is anyone in there?
Cinnamon clearly stated that the harassment of men in the games industry is more frequent (per capita, I'm hoping) and perhaps more vitriolic than for women.
Though considering how the bots/sockpuppets are persecuting these ladies (fewer but more intense personal attacks), I'm not sure how that's possible.
If you'd like a chance at some other perspective, try the feminist who listened to men on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
I meant in general at the very least, and I'm generally going to go with the level of vitriol the target of the harassment judges it to be. I mean, I really don't want to try to figure out how to objectively judge such things as harassment that's spilling over to death threats to their partner...yes, it's happened, I don't have permission to give more details.
Part of the issue here is intersectionality--a woman is more likely to get support, a man is more likely to be told to STFU and man up, which causes problems with reporting. This is actually pretty sexist, since it's an extension of women-as-victims; one of the problems is that if you want gender equality? You need to care about all of it--and deal with the fact that sometimes, the sexist assumptions only appear to benefit women. (I actually am part of the school that all gender bias is harmful to everybody--and that even the things that appear to benefit men or women over the other group are in fact toxic to both groups and exclusionary to anybody who doesn't want to follow the social role assigned to their sex. In case some of you missed it? I ain't cis.)

CEOs avoid pay in cash to skip out on taxes
At Jeff's level the scam is very simple. He's allowed to borrow money from banks at negative interest rates (well, below the rate he could just loan it back out for anyway). This is how the top 1% avoid paying taxes. They've taken control of the banking system and use it to hide the enormous amounts of wealthy they've claimed on the backs of you and me.
Jeff built his fortune on the backs of guys like this. Amazon's enormous worth is predicated on the assumption by the investors that he's going to do what he did to that guy to everybody while jacking up the prices once he runs everybody out of business. If we're going to do something about a future where we all work until we have a stroke now's the time. -

Re:Venezuela did it
not quite as well as they could have, but they made a serious go at it. The went from a third world hell hole to a first world nation in about 50 years. But when the price of oil tanked that was kind of that. The sanctions didn't help either (and I have no bloody idea why my country is sanctioning another country that has not attacked us or our allies... It honestly feels like we're attacking them for being socialistic... ). John Oliver has a pretty good piece on it. I think if they'd had another 50 years to stabilize they could have weathered it (or if those aforementioned sanctions didn't exist and they could get some aid in).
Have you been to Venezuela? They did NOT do it at all. The US, British, and Dutch oil companies ran Venezuela until the 90s when the government took over and then it became a way to reward your friends and families with cushy high paying jobs. A janitor at PDVSA made many times the minimum wage while most people were living in shanty towns around Caracas. The only part of Venezuela that seems to have done okay with the oil is the city of Maturin, which is one of the cleanest cities I have ever been to (though that has most likely changed since I was last there). Unemployment in Maturin was incredibly low, most of the unemployed were given city jobs to do street sweeping. But I can tell you that most of the people I knew there lived in shacks and that they waited days to get the most basic healthcare. You had to go to the emergency room for everything. Anyone who had money would go see a US trained doctor because it was the only way to get decent medical care there. Anyone who needed anything serious done flew to the US or another nearby country if they could afford it.

Re:Could have been structured differently...
You realize that Tesla lives and dies by being able to sell profitable EVs (and normally earns 25% margins on its cars, and is looking to be net profitable starting this quarter), while most manufacturers just sell EVs as loss-leader "compliance cars" for ZEV states, right?
Speaking of which, you will be happy to see that Munro and Associates has declared that the Model 3 is about 30% profitable, making it the only EV which manages this kind of profit ratio. A lot of people have done a lot of complaining about their analysis of Tesla vehicles because they pointed out the places where Tesla was doing poorly, but these guys are probably the best in the industry and they live and die by their reputation... And they give credit where credit is due.

Re: Savings? Really no.
Model S and X can also do laps, just at reduced power after several minutes. Model 3 never throttles down. Primary power comes from a permanent magnet switched reluctance motor, not an induction motor; there's no rotor heat limitations.
Model 3's handling has been almost universally praised by reviewers, but don't bother your head about that.
Your "shit cars" have the highest consumer satisfaction rating in the industry.

Re:Savings? Really no.
And then there's the fact that it takes like half a thought to come up with the idea to put a charger section next to the air station and a "Charge your EV here" sign next to it.
Over time you remodel the gas station, eliminate the pumps, expand it into a fast food/coffee/cake shop...Only issue might be all that potential contamination of the area with various petrochemicals.
People start getting weird after a while when they realize how toxic that thing they were putting in their tank really is.
Then again asbestos used to be just the thing for your kitchen and nearly everything used to be better for you if radioactive. -
Re:Dumbass Musk.
Designed a system that can grow plants without light?
Designed a nearly-universal LED blend that works on over 95% of plants through all stages of life (the purple glow of which you can see in the video mentioned above?)
Developed Aquarium lighting units which can light an entire 55 gallon saltwater reef tank with less than 50 watts of power consumed hourly, and produce consistent growth?
Created prototype lighting systems for Scripps Institute of Oceanography for figuring out *THE* limits of photosynthesis?
What have *YOU* achieved, sonny-boy, besides bloated code that doesn't help humanity in most any way?

You mean where I point out you're the last village idiot insisting the Emperor is wearing the finest livery when it's obvious to everyone that he's wearing nothing but boxers? Someday you'll have the same response to Russiagate that you'll have when your grandkids ask you if you were one of those people running around smearing Iraq war skeptics as Saddam Lovers back in 2003. "Uh, no junior, I always knew Bush and Cheney were lying to us. I totally wasn't a gullible fool and an total asshole to anyone who actually knew better. Promise!"
And Cheney actually went through the trouble of presenting evidence. Fake or bullshit evidence, but evidence nonetheless. Who knew he could have skipped all that work and just made assertions without a shred of evidence, and people like you would just eat that shit up. With a spoon. Shit handed to you from the very same liars.

Re:unenforceable anyway
The big chains will beat you. McDonalds INVENTED automation and lower middle class chef jobs were the first to take the cut with the introductions of franchises. No training needed like you said. Follow pictures of assembly and have metal pans of ingredients and an order to do something repetitively over and over again. If the employee is upset or not as long as he moves his hands fast product comes out in massive numbers. Morale makes no difference. Meat comes pre-marinated. Vegatables come presliced from Mexico. Just load and go as no chefs are needed for great recipes anymore.
Sure, if you have no pride in your work at all.

Re:Vote count and election results not changed
Cheney must be kicking himself these days. He went through all that trouble to present evidence that Saddam had WMD's and was involved in 911. The evidence was either complete crap or faked, but evidence was presented. Who knew he could have skipped all that work and gone straight to having FBI officials make statements without any evidence whatsoever, and people would eat that shit up.
