There are many beautiful places in India featuring the remnants of past Kingdoms which illuminate art, technology, strife and innovation. The images depict life without sewer systems, which aren't coal or diesel powered, and poverty. I'm perfectly capable of writing perl -ne '/incriminating evidence/i and print' but I also know just how silly that idea is.

Unlike those who let CNN think for them, I've actually gone through the Podesta dumps. I know about important attachments hidden under irrelevant subject lines. I know the different code names and the different email addresses used. And there are some indications they talk in code, as well.

The people on /r/wikileaks are still making connections months later. The idea that any real review has been done on 650k emails in 8 days is pretty silly based on the real data of thousands of people doing it on another set over a longer time. We have a search engine for the Podesta dump. Saying you did a few searches so you've done a full review is kind of silly.

Which once again begs the question why Comey broke the FBI guidelines to not insert himself in the middle of the political process, especially so close to the election.

My guess is that it's because the Republicans humiliated him in a congress hearing and Comey didn't want this to happen again, so he erred on the side of "openness". Even if this does go against DOJ policy and maybe even the Hatch Act.

The answer is simple. Let me explain.
This answer is not intended to assuage your worst fears about Donald J. Trump but will, in most cases, confirm them. Before anyone jumps on on me with claws outstretched, allow me to explain that as every grade-school student learns, it's not nice to recover the dead past by annihilating the living present. Apparently, Trump missed that day in class. Otherwise, he'd know that I don't think it would be unfair to say that some chauvinistic pedants are hopelessly nefarious. That shouldn't surprise you when you consider that once you understand his ideas, you have a responsibility to do something about them. To know, to understand, and not to act, is an egregious sin of omission. It is the sin of silence. It is the sin of letting Trump supplant one form of injustice with another.

You might think this is all pretty funny now, but I doubt I'll hear you laughing if, by next weekend, Trump is successfully able to take over society's eyes, ears, mind, and spirit. Why does he want to marginalize the traditions and truths upon which our nation's greatness sits? Because his treacheries represent a new wretched ethos that ungrateful knee-biters will eventually use to represent a threat to all the people in the area, indeed, possibly the world. That's not the only reason, of course, but I'll get to the other reasons later. Did he get dropped on his head when he was young, or did Trump take massive doses of drugs to believe that he serves as wisdom to the mighty and succor to the brave? We must doubtlessly ask ourselves questions like that before it's too late, before Trump gets the opportunity to create a climate in which it will be assumed that our achievements reflect not individual worth, talent, or skill, but special consideration.

Trump wants nothing less than to trick us into trading freedom for serfdom. His cringers then wonder, “What's wrong with that?” Well, there's not much to be done with myopic schnorrers who can't figure out what's wrong with that, but the rest of us can plainly see that Trump recently went through a Comstockism phase in which he tried repeatedly to manipulate public understanding of particularism. In fact, I'm not convinced that this phase of his has entirely passed. My evidence is that no one has a higher opinion of Trump than I, and I think Trump is an infelicific, belligerent weasel. To add another dimension to this argument, let me mention that Trump says that everything will be hunky-dory if we let him twist the history, sociology, and anthropology disseminated by our mass media and in our children's textbooks. That's his unvarying story, and it's a lie: an extremely beastly and contentious lie. Unfortunately, it's a lie that is accepted unquestioningly, uncritically, by Trump's co-conspirators.

Trump wants to keep us helpless and afraid. While none of us need to be so fearful, we are. These fears make it difficult for us to discuss the advantages of two-parent families, the essential role of individual and family responsibility, the need for uniform standards of civil behavior, and the primacy of the work ethic. This is why is critical that we talk about how sneaky fruitcakes must transition away from the infernal ideology of barbarism and learn to begin a course of careful, planned, and coordinated action. The sooner he comes to grips with that reality, the better for all of us.

What does Trump have to say about all of this? The answer, as expected, is nothing. He likes to talk about how he would sooner give up money, fame, power, and happiness than perform a snappish act. The words sound pretty until you read between the lines and see that Trump is secretly saying that he intends to cast dissent as treason and criticism as espionage. He is significantly higher rated than his opponent, but his opponent isnt even in the current active top-5 rated at the moment (he is in 9th):

There is no doubt that Carlsen (2853) has a big edge against Karjakin (2772), so there is no need to be dishonest about it.

Technically, there is a memo from Colin Powell to Hillary telling her how to get away with this kind of thing (click 'view original PDF' -- I can't link it directly). I'm not clear on what all he did other than what it says in the memo, but I'd say that he should get investigated too. It does make it unclear how the FBI can't prove "intent" here, though.

What did you expect her to do

I expected her to give a damn. I expected her to at least try to save those people.

The attack on September 11, 2012 should not have been a surprise and it turns out it was planned in advance. The people on site knew they were at risk and Clinton refused their requests for more security. Ever since 2001 the date of 9/11 is a time when terrorists like to carry out attacks on the USA. Clinton did not only refuse to give them more security in Libya when some security contracts ran out they were not renewed. The people there were at considerable risk.

When the attack did come the State Department knew about it within minutes. The attack went on for hours before the last of the people there died. The US military has quick response teams placed around hot spots like this to respond to attacks like this. There was a team ready and able to respond but the State Department refused to allow them to go. They had been fighting for SIX HOURS before the last of the security detail had been killed. A drone was already on site and delivering video of the attack minutes after they became aware of a possible terrorist attack.

I don't know where the US Navy had carrier groups at the time but those F-18 Hornets can haul ass if asked to. At a minimum Clinton could have sent some of these fast movers to fly overhead to put a little fear in the hearts of the attackers. I recall reading that the security detail on site had laser designators for guided weapons, they knew where the mortars were coming from and they had them lit up. It is quite possible that the F-18s could have destroyed those mortars before the American security detail was overrun. Helicopters don't move as fast as F-18s but they can carry troops and weapons, and more importantly they can go just about anywhere to take people away. While the F-18s were flying overhead with full afterburners, to disorient the attackers with sonic booms, the helicopters could have been en route to pull those American lives out of there. Even if the people there were dead by the time they arrived we could at least say we tried. Also, by sending a QRT we'd also have people on site to protect valuable documents there and potentially find the people responsible for the attack.

That's what Clinton could have done that day, but instead she left them to die.

Again, this was an attack that was potentially foreseeable for days or weeks in advance. If Clinton was doing her job then we'd likely have had proper security on site from the start and the attack might never have happened. It's a common tactic for the State Department and the US military to put a couple M1 tanks in front of valuable assets in sketchy areas. That tends to deter attacks. Even if someone is stupid enough to start shooting on a building guarded by tanks then at least the tanks are there to return fire and soak up some of the damage. I'm sure it is possible these people would be just as dead if there were tanks on site, and a quick response team was on the way to reinforce them but, again, at least we could have said we tried. Clinton didn't try. She was either oblivious, didn't care, or was so mentally addled from her many falls that she couldn't think straight.

What did I expect her to do? I expected her to try.

But that's like the least bad stuff we've found in the Podesta & FBI dumps. I hope those deals all get stopped and the lawsuits are won. Oh, and you remember how Colin Powell supported Clinton? Turns out there's a document between him & her describing how to break the email rules. For anyone asking: feel free to throw the book at him for anything you can prove in a court of law. I'd happily rule against any of the shady business deals against any of them were I a juror.

But there's just so much even worse stuff going on. Remember that gunless "assassin"? It was a bird dogging attempt (agian). And an old lady who lives with him died back in 2002, but she's still voting.

Make sure you look into the sources on that. See, we have her address (same as his). We know when she died. We have voting records showing that she's been voting all this time. And we have him mentioned in the Stratfor dumps. Yet another bird dogging attempt and all the links are out there for anyone who wants to look them up. It's easy to see one news item you don't agree with and dump it, but be sure you look at the election records, look up the address, look up the death records.

As for the rate of going through these, we've found that they love to use irrelevant subjects like "congratulations" to send some of the crazy attachments. So while I can totally believe they'd filter out "irrelevant" emails, they'd be led around by the nose if they did so.

If you're going to run with this line of reasoning though, then I'm sure you're lining up to impeach Obama for what Clinton did, instead of holding Clinton directly responsible for her gigantic fuckup with her email server and lying multiple times including to the investigative committee and to the FBI.
