I don't want to show of or anything but my 65 my living room pc runs 4 tb disks on a pc with linux installed, I am using a wii to navigate and launch my applications on the 65 inch high definition monitor. I use screenlet buttons and arranged them specifically on the living room tv set. I have 1 high definition card, one analog card, and cable modem. I have on one 1080p screen running at the same time, high definition program on me-tv, tvtime runs the analog cable shows, google earth for traffic and weather. There is so much more! my wii mote works with my hand motion navigating cursor and I just click on the preset screenlets icons. It is very impressive. It is sharp but my 24 inch dotpitch hpw2408 is much nicer which I have in my bedroom. But still sharp enough. It is my main living room entertainment center and can also play high definition videos from my xacti hd1000 and multimedia files just fine. It is my home system and very entertaining. You must be talking about something else.
I was once a KDE user. I loved many aspects of it as much as Linus did. Gnome was easier to use but lacked certain features KDE offered. This was around 5 years ago. KDE4 was released and I read plenty of people's reviews who was forcing themselves liking it. I bet it was related to Linus's Love or liking for it. Today, I was about to give KDE4 another try until I ran into this article. This confirms my earlier experiences such as barfing into a bucket, headaches, nausea. I almost cried!
In gnome, we have screenlets, awn, kiba-dock, compiz fusion. The posibilities are endless in creating touchpads with screenlets buttons as executables for certain applications or using awn or kiba-dock on a 65inch HD-television for navigation on your living room setup. It is way more customizable in my own opinion and very fluid at 200fps instead of plasmoids terrible animation of what looks like 3 fps.
I Own the prince of darkness for linux. I totally stopped buying from them. I asked them to fix the issue of how I play the game. I cannot play the game offline!!!! I asked and they were no help at all. Everytime I launch the game, the supposedly one time activation does it everytime I launch. It will not work! I have to be plugged in all the time. Will not work on my laptop when I am away from home.
Never again!!!!
I always carry my c1000 or my c3200. When I need to write something down to imagepad or write into text file, I have those 2 softwares loaded to memory and ready to write. Also, simple edit, another software, does highlights for javascripts, java, python, perl, C, C++, HTML, Plain text.
I just whip it out of my pocket, and press the power button and its on right away before your 1 second is up.
It runs linux and I have to admit, it's under suspend but I have left it in suspend mode for 2 weeks without it needing a recharge and is fully charged after I look at it after those 2 weeks have gone by.
consumer calls:"HEY! I have a video on demand service that I pay for a monthly fee. Can you lift the 250gb cap?"
comcast:"sure but it will cost you an additional 50 dollars a month."
These events are fictitious but it could happen.
My beloved zaurus is ahead of the current times. It runs linux xfce as well as other rom images ranging from debian to kde or qtopias flavor. It has a Touchscreen. If configured properly, It has all the desktop applications available for it as well as including game emulators. My Current pocket size zaurus has over 64gb diskspace (4gb sd not included). It stores well over Tons of hours of my music cd collection as well as tons of hours of my HD home movies converted easily with avidemux from a xacti high definition hd 1000. iphone is junk! Zaurus has had voice over ip since it's roots. The touchscreen is a must for any screen!
It is still well ahead of the current times even for the next 10 years. Too bad sharp discontinued it.
Touchscreen is the way of the future!
Even though we loose all or most languages or may it become one, we are still forgetting the fact that the deaf have their own language. Sign language will unify society.
We can all get along if we all learn to sign since the start of birth.

From its inception to version 8.0, Mandrake named its flagship distribution Linux-Mandrake. From version 8.1 to 9.2 it was called Mandrake Linux.
In February 2004 MandrakeSoft lost a court case against Hearst Corporation, owners of King Features Syndicate. Hearst contends that MandrakeSoft is infringing upon King Features' trademarked character Mandrake the Magician. The word Mandrake is not unique to the King Features character, and MandrakeSoft was appealing the decision.
Update: As Endpoint Technologies Associates analyst Roger Kay notes, the 40 million is the number of copies Microsoft sold to the channel, not the number of copies sold by the channel and directly to customers.

The zaurus is now discontinued. I own a C-3200 which uses various rom images such as cacko rom, pdaxrom. It emulates all kinds of environments and runs under linux. You can run aplications or X environments and even run debian on it. Open office is available too! It all fits in my pocket and has a touch screen for easy note taking. Anyway, I been doing this for the past 4-5 years. and these new ultra small pc's can't touch the heal of this small discontinued device.
I have seriously thrown up and lost 10 pounds of food from my intestines including water. You too can achieve rapid weight loss.
I just bought my prey game for 7 dollars at a circuit city blowout sale!
But your settings have been altered for better net penetration, do you want to allow?
well, I dont know what you are talking about when you say "Google Earth doesn't provide you with traffic and weather by itself." but i can demonstrate the traffic here http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&layer=t&z=4&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-goog-gtn&utm_medium=ha&utm_term=google%20live%20traffic google earth does show something similar. the hdtv runs at a resolution of 1920x1200 my weemote is used like a mouse. Here is a high definition tv with pc resolution that uses 1920x1080. New ones work unlike the old stuff. It is vga too http://www.ciao.com/Mitsubishi_736_Series_WD_65736__15532443

instead of bugmenot.com, just do this bug-me-not.com and tell them to remove the "-"

I was at borders the other day and my girfriend says, "why is the screen blue?" I kindly replied to her, "Let's just move along! Nothing to see here!"
I never thought you can punch with finger.
