Wow. Obviously you didn't RTFA. My wife is a nurse on the ventilator unit at a local rehabilitation hospital, and shares this sentiment. So many of their patients are comatose, totally unresponsive, but their families insist on keeping them alive at any cost. They've had patients there for 10 years or more on a vent, comatose, zero chance of ever coming out of it, and only kept alive by the machines. What sort of existence is that? My wife and I have had "that talk" and neither of us want to be kept alive by machines. Sure, if something bad happens and there is a good chance of full or nearly full recovery, go for it. But kept alive by a feeding tube and mechanical breathing? Hell no. I'd much rather spend that extra time with my Creator in Heaven.
A President with balls would never have asked for it back. He would have said "You have 6 hours to return the drone intact. If you don't, it will turn into a smoldering crater."
They'll never close the Straits of Hormuz because it'd piss off not just the US but the entire world.
As others have suggested, Canon products are great. For what I perceive to be your situation, a Canon pocket camera will be your best bet. You do actually get good images from them, and I say that with certainty as I have two pocket Canons, one DSLR and a couple dozen DSLR's at work, all Canon. I resisted the urge to get a pocket camera until a couple years ago, but since I did, there's truly no going back. Why? Because you always have it with you. A DSLR you will not carry with you very often, plain and simple. A pocket camera that does a good job and is always with you - you can't go wrong. Because you have it with you. I cannot stress that point enough. I suggest a Canon with GPS. The location features are nice - knowing where your photos were taken.
Swype, and, dare I say it, Flash. I have an iPhone 4 and like it, but my wife just got a Droid Bionic. It's noticeably faster than the iPhone 4 (but probably on par with a 4S). But she got it for two reasons - swype and Flash, so she can play some of the Facebook games she enjoys. Will Flash die? Maybe, hopefully, and then that will be a moot point. But even as an Apple enthusiast, I must say, swype is very, very nice. Siri seems cool, and I'm sure it is for some people, but voice-to-text, eh. I'm in the office, and I don't want others to hear what I'm texting.
Seems easy to me. You probably have the passwords stored in a file somewhere, right? Once a month when you change them, print it out and put it in your safe deposit box that only you and one other trusted individual (spouse, child, lawyer) have access to.
Granted, the whole concept of using an iPhone in the bath is silly, IMHO, I could see very legitimate real-world use for this in the disabled community.
My wife is a nurse on the ventilator unit at a local rehab hospital, and she tells me often of the setups people have there to use a laptop computer with head-mounted stylus units and such that don't work very well for some patients. But I could see a solution like this working wonderfully for quadriplegic or otherwise disabled people to use an iPhone or more likely an iPad.
Honestly - my money is on No. 2. When we make China upset, it's not uncommon for them to talk about how they could take out LA or other spots on our West Coast. And right now, China is PISSED at us for our ridiculous idea of creating $600B out of thin air, as it will undoubtedly further destabilize the world's economic situation. So, they wait until our President is gone and then lob a big missile right off our coast.
Yes, very scary indeed. I'm glad I live in middle-of-nowhere Nebraska.
It's interesting though that when we see these sorts of things happening, take notice. FAR, FAR more often the "error" is skewed towards Democrats. There are reports from North Carolina of similar shenanigans where someone voted Rep and it checked Dem.
Here in Nebraska, we use good 'ol fashioned paper ballots and No. 2 pencils. That's awfully hard to screw up. Honestly, until Florida 2000, I truly had no idea that any other system existed.
Ummm, have you forgotten the Fort Hood shooting by Nidal Malik Hasan last November? 13 dead, 30 injured, by a Muslim terrorist who was basically a sleeper agent inside the US Military? Or the attempted car bomb in Times Square back in May (the fact that it didn't go off had nothing to do with any efforts by our intelligence forces)?
Not necessarily. If I drop my Jeep into 4-Low, jam the brake pedal to the floor as hard as it'll go, and give it even a little gas, it'll go. But then again, 4-Low is designed to give you very low speed (15-20 max) and super high torque.
Yeah, that REALLY pissed me off too. I thought I "bought" their high-end DVR when I forked over the cash at BestBuy. Not to mention it is not possible at the store to read the massive thing you sign when "buying" it. Then, several months later when I wanted to cancel because my 2-year term was up, I'm told I can't because I added a receiver. But I paid for it! I'll give it back to them if they want it, but no. I even threatened to nuke the credit card it's being billed to but was told my account would then go to collections. I used to really like DirecTV but now I will never, ever recommend them to anyone.
I went to New Orleans four times after Katrina doing relief work/cleanup. Same thing there, people's home fridges that had been obviously without power for months, were full of food and of course had been under water as well. We'd wrap them in duct tape, put it on a dolly and work them out to the curb, all the while the duct tape isn't holding and the contents are pouring all over our Tyvek suits.
Granted, we had N95 masks, but those don't filter smells, just the mold and such. Sure, the smell was anything but pleasant, but no one ended up in the hospital. I went into a grocery store 6 weeks after Katrina that had been under water twice. Yeah, I had my mask on, but there were half a dozen guys in there cleaning it up with just jeans and t-shirts. No projectile vomiting in sight.

Just like cheating with electronic voting machines is orders of magnitude more difficult than paper ballots?
Finally - a computer that can fully handle Windows 8!
Easy - just do it outside on a real windy day. The wind will carry all the nasty junk away.

Seeing as how it cost almost $7,900 just to put gas in my Prius this morning, I'd come out ahead by not having to drive to work every day.
Scary, but I'm with you on this one. *shudder*

Agreed. Try Nebraska! Sure, we have the occasional tornado, but it's nice here!
Yep!

It was Andy Hertzfeld, I think. Read "Revolution in the Valley." Really good book about the early days of Apple.
"Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech." I don't see an age limit in there. Do you?

Just had to throw it out there.

I had earlier versions of these:

as a kid and learned a ton. Loved those kits!
Wusses....

I thought it was:
mod_Obama
Or could have been:
mod_FCC
I could be wrong though.
Better light globally? You mean by pissing off all our trade allies by trying to restrict this "economic stimulus" spending to only American products?
