New Yorkers are just another species when compared to others. Just like you feel its wrong to compare the incidents, its equally unfair to expect them to mourn the same way. There is their backbone and pride. Its just a different way, no one should be suprised to see them rebuild the towers as a literal "up yours" to the terrorists. After all this is the city and the people who as pedestrians would flip off a truck driver (in his 18 wheeler.)
The incidents are not a like, and the people are even more different.
I personally dislike all strip fencing. Its much easier for spectators to get into the game when its in the round. We live in more than 1 dimesion, lets us play all around.
Then of course, get rid of the sensors. Make it about honour once again. If you get hit while making a hit, your both out.
Trust me, much more interesting. But then I may be biased (SCA anyone.)
I know this since working for their competitor a few years ago.
They don't control the channels they offer as much as who they buy the channels from. Say they setup a deal with Disney, Disney now says you must require everyone of get ESPN and Disney Channel or no Disney at all. The same with Viacom channels (or whoever owns them now.)
Dishnetwork had a deal called dish pix, $10 10 channels. BUT you couldn't get MTV, Vh1, and a lot of others since their required bundling didn't allow them to be a low tier package. But you could get other "lesser" niche based channels. But those started disappearing as they were being bought out by bigger companies and being tied to other channels.
Discovery was the best at not having requirements, but they may have changed now (with about 20 channels in their lineup)
It all comes down to the provider; DirecTV, DISH Network, and Time Warner are locked down to the channels they offer with others.
They are even restricted by the providers competitors. So if the mid package has A&E, A&E's competitor must be in that package as well.
Now if you go and get yourself a BUD (big ugly dish) you may be able to find a provider who sells more channels ala carte, but they usually have a fee for changing your schedule. They make their money off of fee's and have more options that way.
PPV is actually becoming the preferred solutions for long events. You can sign up to watch a week long cricket match already. I'd think in another couple years you'll probably pick and choose events. But the price will probably be higher (like $20 for the entire Tour.)
It really is only missing some type of wireless access before becoming actually "practical." Suddenly a silly little watch that runs Linux becomes a usefull device to keep you informed of anything happening while your at work/school.
Outlook does allow one change to automatically approve/deny all incoming calendar changes. Though if you only get a small amount its not worth turning on, but in a case like that I would use it.
Yes we can comment on the news that is posted. We can flame away about the poor editorials that are posted. But what about the news and editorials that may not be posted?
THAT, is the big question. We will know if we see something anti-VA soon, or not.
There are a lot more Notes sites like these, one studentu was on CBS a while ago arguing with a professor about who owns the rights. They're pushing that the Notetakers are a lot like news reporters, they write their interpatation on what the professor says. I'm gonna look for some more links to the articles.
In Response to Mr Bond. James Bond is just a Alias given to Agent 007. After he passes on (retires) a new 007 takes his place. The only time he died and came back that I remember is in you only live twice, his first death was a fake. Watch Casino Royale (the BBC and Woody Allen) then you shall know.
It was an important part of episodes 4-6 to show how much droids were disliked/discrimenated. This probably has something to do with the clone war. Heck by "A New Hope" droids were all harmless, a phaser fired is energy waster if its fired at a droid. We get to see what causes all this discrimation in the first three.
Your right. It is a lot easier to say and do. Its just because we are raised to run. This isn't a simple solution. I know of only a hand few people who would follow, the rest wouldn't. BUT maybe if the world starts showing how you can help, people will start realizing how much a difference they can make.
I don't laugh at this and I don't think you should either. My point is more on not letting them actually cause the terror they have brought to us. There are a lot of people afraid out there, and they shouldn't be. Instead they should learn how to stand up and fight.
You are not the type of person who would lay down and wait for a bullet to go into your head. We do we teach our children to do that. I personally would have voluntered to die to save just one child there. Get up and take a bullet for another, or two.
I know the areas you are talking about, most of them know about honor and teach there children not die cowering on the floor begging for their lives.
You pulling the quote out of context there is really good. I wish I could answer that, but all I can say is don't be afraid. There is no cure, but my family in Israel are not afraid of the much more common terrorists. us Americans should not fear our children, who are now OUR terrorists.
If you are still serving, I thank you for your continuing work. Otherwise, thank you, without you the world would be a worse place. I respect the military more than most non-military. I just don't respect the way we teach our children.
What would you teach your child to do in one of these instances?
Mine would not be taught to die crying, not to be a do first, think later hero (and most likely die as well.) My child should know how to take control of that situation and get people out if possible, or get the gun away if a viable alternative appears.
Which I might add, 200 hundred kids in a cafeteria who do not lie down and wait, but instead get up and run towards the shooter would have stopped him quite quickly. he may fire a few times, but not aiming a single shot, partly panicked, he would most likely shoot the ceiling above the children. If he is lucky, he might hit a few people, but most likely not fatally. Though yes, he might have excellent aim and kill a few, but this is not likely.
Unfortunately, we are trained to lie and die, not to fight. I am done here.
What I said is not perfect, and most likely not even close (everyone wants a perfect situation with no one hurt, you know thats impossible), but its what I say, and thats it.
While we're at it lets get rid of the first ammendment. Our forefathers never saw how wide spread and evil communication could be, it must be stamped out before more people are educated.
We do that and the Internet fiasco is gone, no more bomb making, no more whining and complaing from out voters. But make sure to get rid of the third ammendment first, otherwise the voters could rebel and stop us.
If we allow everyone to get a gun this mean it will be easier for criminals to get guns
You mean it isn't already easy to get guns? I can't think of anyplace on the planet where if you have the money you can get a gun and in countries where they are illegal it may be cheaper (no taxes, no permits, no wait.)
They exist, they are fun to play and they "Fuggin Suck".
But they play because its fun.
And here are the rotating knives.
Oh dear, is that not what you planned.

http://www.ezula.com/ is done all in flash and graphics. Thats good, now there isn't any text links to be "hijacked" by their own software.
Come on would he real type ack! I think not, well maybe if he was transcribing it to some else.

"Trust is a trick that dogs play. They don't want you to know how delicious they are."
Now that this little site has been around. How many of us old timers are still around, USING THEIR ORIGINAL username.
hmmm....

Don't you mean Channukah Harry?
I'm not sure if I'm expecting christian morality or the mofia from that name ;)
Of course, sounding so much like cynic, it might be political.

With all of talking about the "for dummies" books now ROb may just get a letter as well.

Unfortunately it has been blessed by the Evil Lord Gates.

For all of you ready to stop having children, go to the great website for Voluntary Human Extinction. Its the ultimate solution.
I must second the approval of this rant. Most excellent.
