Pretty much, although retailers have been doing this for years.
Your laptop motherboard fried? It's not under warranty because the case is scratched.
This pretty much changes it to:
They broke in the door and robbed you? You are at fault because the window was open.
"The Inquirer is understandably cautious about these claims, urging readers to investigate the releases themselves to ascertain whether or not it's a hoax."
So much for the rigor of investigative journalism.
Adult Swim Fix has been doing this with ads for months now. They space them out enough to not make it too annoying though.
To their credit, the video quality on the shows is much better than most online players though.
Sigh.. EA is charging gamers for the instruction manual it sounds like.
It sounds like the major issue here is the shoddy quality of the video produced along with the cheap method of distribution. It's not costing EA a ton of money to send the video, and from the review it doesn't sound like it took a lot of money to produce it either. You just can't tell if someone could be a murderer if they publish a file system... Or something like that.
Does this mean we can no longer find fuel rods on ebay?
Apparently Dialup isn't good enough for Starcraft these days.
Eh, screw the whole thing.
