I mean the one you would go to to download the SETI@Home client. Also the same one you would go to for information pertaining to the SETI@Home project. It also hapens to be the site you would go to if you wanted to change any of the details for your SETI@home account.
You know what's funny, I used to think 70 or 75 was a good solid refresh rate. Now that I run 85hz, I can see the flicker at 70 and every now and then at 75.
I was going to moderate, but instead I think I will feed the troll...
What if... The shuttle was already moving very fast, with some rather high speed wind going by. What if the foam, while pretty hard, is also light. What if air resistance slowed it down substantialy. Then, there could be a much greater difference in their speeds.
I've always heard this, even said it myself a few times, but I see a major flaw. The only practical way to find a song on the network is to have the name or the artist. Unknown artists arn't going to be found if no one knows who they are.
To me, the difference isn't so much the sound quality as it is the processing. I much preffer the hardware 3d positioning as well as the other sound manipulations offered by EAX. Some of the newer games are a lot more imersive because the sound matches the environment you are in.
Some manufacturer will realize that consumers will *pay* for a quality piece that doesn't institute the Gillete sales model.
I work retail, and I would have to disagree. I try and tell my costomers about the problems with cheap printers, but they buy them any way. Then they come in a month later and complain about the ink cost.
Sombody hasn't installed XP. (maybe that is a good thing) The only thing on the desktop is the Recycle Bin. There are no Outlook express or MSN Messenger icons in the quicklaunch bar, which is off by default. Also, TweekUI has always been able to hide the Outlook and IE icons on the desktop.

I don't use the palm software now because I now use Evolution in Linux. But when I was first trying to get away from Outlook, it was realy nice to be able to sync with my Mozilla address book. Otherwise, I would have had to maintain a second copy in Palm Desktop. The only thing missing now is a good callender.
if you have an older one with an x-scale then yes, other wise, no. At least that is what I was told by the Toshiba rep a few months back. Apearently, all of the 400Mhz x-scale PocketPC's with 2002 don't perfom any better than the 200Mhz, but with an upgrade to 2003 you can really see a difference.

Does Sprint have digital service in your area? They have a PCMCIA card that you can get that gets you unlimited data at 128kb. They do run pictures through a chacheing / file shrinking server, but it is better than 56k. The card is ~$150 and service is ~$50/ month.
While transparency is great, what I really want is window shading. At least I think that is what it is called. When I'm booted in linux using gaim, I double click on the title bar and the rest of the window dissapears. When I mouse over it, it comes back. With transarency, you may be able to read through it, but it is still in the way when you want to click on something.
That still doesn't explain why it was still there after disabling it in "Set Program Access and Defaults". The only explanation would be that some other program needed it. However, every thing worked fine after I deleted it, so that couldn't have been it.
It also doesn't explain why there were two copies in two different places, or why one was hidden.
Then, I told it not to load on boot up. Fine, I don't see it. It's still in my process list.
Next, I told that new program picker you speak of to disable it. Now it isn't even suposed to run in I try to run it. After a few reboots, it was still in my process list.
After that, I went to windows components, unchecked it's box and it said it was uninstalled. After a reboot is was still in my process list.
Finaly, I did a search for msmsgs.exe. It found 2 copies one of which was set as hidden. I deleted them both.
last I checked it only supported keys from Varisign or some other company that wanted way to much money for a limited time key. Maybe that is why no body used it.
That might be dificult to do. As in windows, they are both used to brows local directories as well as the internet.
I propose that Microsoft be forced to strip IE out of windows as soon as Konqueror is pulled out of KDE and Galeon is pulled out of Gnome.

Not sure why someone would write an article about SETI with that many links without puting a link the the actual SETI@Home web site.

(spell checker can be added on to mozilla)
I keep seeing that, but nobody has posted a link, so I will. http://spellchecker.mozdev.org/
hehe I got it just a few minutes ago and was maxing out my dsl connection. Maybe they have betters servers or a bigger pipe this time around.
Why does winamp have an IRC client?
I find the prefbar handy for such things. It has a Clear Cache button. The newer versions even have checkboxes for turning caching off.

If only I had mod points... That last one was hilarious.

I tried to turn off Windows Messenger once...
First, I told it to close, it refused.
Then, I told it not to load on boot up. Fine, I don't see it. It's still in my process list.

Messenger isn't in my process list any more.
A couple weeks later, I bought SUSE.
hmm, not to sure if I want to use lossy compression for my important files. The last time I did that, I lost everything...
Don't know about macs, but My laptop can hibernate. This does turn it off compleatly, but it comes back pretty quick.
