The trailer for the remixed game "Metal Gear Substance" was awesome. It had all these words that kept morphing together: Subliminal, Subvert, Subordinate, Subsist... until finaly morphing into "Substance".
Nevermind the incredible "WTF" scenes like Snake on a skateboard, Meryll alive and the giant soldiers.
And the tagline: The fall, Metal Gear sheds its skin and reveals its SUBSTANCE.
it's a fighter stick, it's made only for playing fighting games, why do you think you should be able to use it to play metroid (an fps) or zelda (an action rpg)?
This is like complaining that you can't use a keyboard to play Time Crisis 2.
The comics i've gotten off bit torrent have all been either comics i own or comics that are impossible to find in real life.
An example would be miracleman, of which the back issues are prohibitivly expensive due to the collectors market. There can't be any new printings of them due to the legal quagmire that is the ownership. If it wasn't for bit torrent, i'd never have been able to read this quality series.
I really don't see how hilary rosen resigning is gonna signal any change in how the RIAA does business, if anything it might get worse. I can easily see her replacement being yet another lawyer headed shark from one of the big record labels.
If the record industry wanted to save itself, they'd drop the cost of CDs down to $8 or less and partner with someone like Apple to deliver a real legal digital music service. Then they might find a more sympathetic ear in regards to piracy.
Indeed, the Sega CD has no protection at all. I've played burned Sega CD games several times, the only problem is that there's next to no good games for the system, other than Lunar Silver Star Story.
The reason why it has no copy protection is that when the Sega CD was released, CD-RW drives were so prohibitevly expensives and the media cost $40+ a disc that Sega assumed no one would bother.
I really wonder if the person who moderates the apple section on slashdot has ever used a mac.
This l33t hax0r mac trick has been a basic part of Mac OS FOREVER, i remember being told in school how using [option]+XXX on a mac was so much easier than resorting to an ascii table, which you'd have to do on a PC at the time.
And it's not that Mac OS doesn't come with a keycaps application either.
Slow down there, champ. actually the Hulk was played by body builder Lou Ferigno on the tv show while his alter ego, Bruce Banner (on the show changed to David Banner) was played by Bill Bixby.
heh, i think you mean Steve Perry owns Neil Gaiman's haircut, he's the shaggy looking guy in black. McFarlane is the hockey player looking guy with the short hair.
$2500 would build a very nice MAME cabinet with actual Happ controls and monitor instead.
That would have several thousand games then.
but everyone played the Doctor in that: Hugh Grant, Rowan Atkinson, even Joanna Lumley.
Come to think of it, it'd be kinda cool to have Joanna Lumley as the new Doctor.
It doesn't look like Paul McGann to me, is it a new incarnation?
In the video game Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Solid Snake uses a computer to upload photos and when he turns it on it's a verbose linux boot.
Even says "linux" several times, which isn't surprising since it was developed for the PS2 originally. I wonder if it was kept for the XBOX version?
if you even bothered to read their website, you'd see they have motto already, "Don't Stop Believing".
The stories in endless nights are one for each member of the endless and take place in the past.

Except a ripped iso wouldn't have the necessary error bits on the burned copy that would allow it to boot because of Sony's copy protection scheme.
Avon is the only returning character because at the end of the first series...
EVERYONE ELSE DIES.

uh, the complete mame romset is around 14GB.
or you could download Mame32 and be playing that in windows and actually be on topic.
Seriously though, the Knoppix boot cd isn't too hard to configure.
Mame currently supports games like King of Fighters 2001 (60mb), Area 51 (which has a 300mb HDD image file) and several other more modern games.
It's true Pac-Man is only a few KB, but if you want to play some of the more current games, you'll appreciate DVD media.
this certainly much easier and cheaper than buying a mp3 deck for your car!
but wait, that wouldn't involve linux, casemodding or car boxen, you know, nerdman's kryptonite.

if you feel that the man is keeping you down because you only do scripting, get off your obese ass and learn programming.
jesus people, it's not rocket science.
Google announced that they had purchased the database, refused to say why.

Best schadenfreud since Pets.com and eToys going out of business.
what the poster forgets mention that this is not the TV show, but rather a web based audio drama.
sorry to get your hopes up, Whovians, but this isn't the new dr. who series you were promised.
Just move to Colorado and get yourself on our state's No Call list...
I haven't had a telemarketer call in months.
