    Me in 1994, it came on a 120Mb Colorado Jumbo tape and had a 1.0.8 kernel I think.

    You obviously never tried to. You'd get a complicated phone menu first with dozens of options in fast french with a lot of distortion because they talk too loud, then you have to pick the correct one VERY fast. The slightest hesitation means the line will be disconnected. If you manage to do so, you will be introduced to the world of waiting music for a long time. Then if you finally get to speak to someone, it's fast French again and nothing else. A hesitation here means disconnection again, and you will have to know exactly what to say to pose enough of a threat to get them to do anything or they will say oui and do nothing.

    I wouldn't see how if they only change the order in which object files are linked, the routines themselves should be the same and have the same exploit working for them unless the exploit relies on changing code in a fixed position of ram, but then a simple search function to locate the routine to be exploited can be added.

    My Hp with intel processor & intel video gave me no trouble at all except for the fact Mint 17.4 kde doesn't get the vsync working. Does work on 18.1 but I'm not willing to upgrade just to get rid of the annoying flickering while scrolling.

    Power grids are linked across countries in Europe. It isn't unusual to borrow power from a neighbouring country only to return the favour later. So if the wind is still in Denmark for a while, it might not be in Germany. Germany uses massive amounts of solar btw, even though it is not a super sunny place.
