I'm pretty sure you're right on this one. But if the stuff make plants glow it's obviously able to affect biological matter. It's apparently extremely rare but it is also possible to be allergic to gold I'm not sure what affect inhaling the miniscule amounts of gold we're talking about would have on such a person though,
That is 0.2%, much closer to the original REALLY small number. To reach the 10% number, each person must be in range of at least 500 people which isn't that difficult.
Given that Zelda was freaking easy, let's go with...Modern day Zelda. Also freaking easy, just as time intensive but made in the last few years. Counter example success!
Wait, we had an election? Why is no one talking about this?
J/K, you're completely right about that, everyone seems to have forgotten we have no real elected government right now.
The whole idea of not teaching something is offensive to me and the style of teaching mentioned in the article is exactly the best style for engaging the teenage mind.
FWIW, I reckon the best terrorist action against Australia would be breaking the sydney dams; The flooding would be impressive and there would be mass water shortages. As a highschooler I would have loved doing the research on what would be required to bust a few dams and flood sydney.
The effort of harvesting a starving child and the damage it causes is signifacantly more than the effort of saving said child.
The effort of saving a blastocyst is nearly impossible compared to the effort of using it for research. And once you do save the blastocyst it becomes the starving child.
I'm not a student of history, I was more talking about the general subjective idea that the new government is good because the revolutionaries feel they are right. Obviously sometimes this works (US V England, France V French Nobles, India V England, Scotland V England) and sometimes the decay sets in faster (Russia V Russian Nobles, many South American contries) my point was exactly that revoultions set up, as you say, seemingly good government that inevitably decay, only the time frame of that decay is variable.
I was using hyperbole, trying to imply that any government is destined to fail. I wasn't saying it isn't better now than it may have been at some point, what I was trying to say is that the actions that are being taken now, whether they seem good or bad will lead to eventual ruination.
Many revolutions set up Good Government, it was only after a period of time that they became Bad Government. The only real measure is of fitness is how long it took. You're living in the waning times of the US government, it has been going down hill ever since it was founded. The same is true for every government.
So, they had an EVM, not provided by the government when the government owns every EVM. "No officer, I didn't steal it, I was just holding it for a friend." Pfft.
But I'd expect the vast majority of tehm can at least read a website and multiply up to triple digits. This likely would not be the case without government mandated schooling.
That's a terrible attitude, you've basically said, "I'm uninspired by female politicians because they don't descriminate for women" I mean the point should be male and female politicians acting and being treated exactly the same.
I always find "first X is a tribute to non-descrimination" type reports hillarious, if we've overcome descrimination, then why does it matter that they are the first X.
What is worse, I asked about 5 friends that frequently use the net and are quite intelligent what thye thought of us having a filter and they had no idea one was coming.
Let's say you run a bookshop that only sells children's books - Is it censorship to say no when playboy asks you to stock their books?
How about a DVD shop that does not feel the need for a live concerts section, are they censoring out all the music artists of the world?
If Apple has a policy of items they will not accept, that is their choice. Since the items are not actually censored in your country, perhaps you hsould try a different vendor?
The legal dodge on this one is pretty interesting. I've been trying to get better 'net for a while here in Australia and the tricks are quite funny.
Unlimited broadband means you will get broadband speeds all the time. In OZ, broadband is apparently defined as anything faster than dialup...
Some cable companys advertise their "generous" 30GB limit (yes really) which is in line with other companies download limits by price, but they also meter uploads.
If you bundle your phone you get a better price, but if a better plan comes out for the same provider, you need to break the (often 24 month) contract on your phone and pay the exit fee to get on the new plan. I haven't tested that one yet, so we'll see.
"3 A:a sequence of messages or jobs held in temporary storage awaiting transmission or processing"
We are queueing the theme in the radio sense, IE it will be the next thing to play. I can't find proper usage of that figure of speech though, so I think the "cue" spelling is probably correct.
I'd probably end up paying $150 to get a whitegoods shop to deliver and install my Fridge, if they "sync it to my microwave" what does it mattter? I'm still getting the delivery and installation.
People are blowing this up from a standard delivery charge with some poorly chosen addtional BS to a charge for turning on your TV. Are we really that petty?
Why do all slashdot conversations come back to the Americans?

Do you see the difference now?

So their "friend" provided them with something they had no legal right/reason to have and they were holding it when the officer arrested them.
Seems like a pretty accurate example of "I was just holding it" to me.

you forget number 4
4)It will cost a fuckton of money which will ultimately be passed on to the voting customers that already pay a fuckton of money for sub-par internet.
An interesting point would be a swarm made up entirely of PCs recording who is in the swarm.Would each PC report the other PCs as breaking the law?
yeah, here's $1 million, give 1/3 to bob, 2/3 to fred, you can keep the rest.
you forgot the "USA needs to protecy you with their military at their cost" Clause too. Come to think of it, is that still in effect?
We've got a far better army, I think we'll win.
Hmmm, you know, this I would have believed 5-10 years ago. How's your economy doing now after trying to "win"?
Actually, USA v Muslim nations seems a prime example of an eye for an eye leaving everyone blind.

You're right, plenty of families have one PC per family, those that can afford to waste money on an iPad probably have 6 or 7.
