No offense mate but you dont know what you are talking about. Believe it or not most other countries dont care about your laws.

In fact, most other country admins sit back and laugh at the poor Americans and their endless litigation.

Seriously though.. get a grip of your judicial system its out of control. While this kind thing might hamstring American admins, those of us with a more reasonable law system will just feel sorry for you guys.

I love getting emails form American lawyers... I always respond to them TBP (thepiratebay.org) style.

Seriously.. I have seen a lot of attempted comparisons between the US/EU and Russia/China.

Some people seem to think that the US and EU are on the same level of deceit as Russia/China. To think that would seriously just show the thinking world your ignorance.

Sure... no country is perfect and every single one of them gets up to mischief, but when you compare what Russia and China get up to compared to the EU and US... there is very little comparison.

You would have to be a liar to try compare them. I have not noticed even the very retarded Bush administration killing of journalists like China.. and I have not noticed the EU censoring its citizens like China.

When a real comparison is done of the important stuff.. like political freedom, access to basic human rights, access to education, access to health services and important basic freedoms.. the EU and US beat anything in Asia hands down.

Also, Russia and China are not democracies on any level. Again, you would be lying if you thought so. Russia and China are playing on the bull media and anti Americanism to fool the retards of our world into believing "theyre the same". Well. theyre not.. and not on any level, and if you cant see this then you are part of the problem.

If you are anything like me (IE, you believe you have a good grasp on the politics, the history and the issues with the current Russian government) you must be just as pissed off as me.

I really am upset about how the (FSB controlled) Russian government is acting. However, in this case, perhaps there is something those people outside of the conflict zone can do.

The rest of the cyberworld can protest again Russia by overloading the Russian Business Network.

It would be a whole new and interesting concept. An online world war? :)

The Chinese must catch a wakeup with their government. China is without a doubt the most deadly force in Africa.

Lets pretend for a second that the the situation in Tibet is okay, lets even ignore the support the dictatorship in Burma is getting from China... let me look at it completely from my own continent and my own perspective of an African.

China is supply the Sudanese militants in Sudan with the weapons they need to commit the genocide in Sudan... all for oil. They make the Bush government look like little angels...

But my BIGGEST bug bear .... I am a South African, we live right next to Zimbabwe. A country that has undergone the most horrible of dictators, and now that Robert Mugabe has lost the vote... guess what? CHINA is SUPPLYING Robert Mugabe with the weapons he needs to continue his dictatorship.

As an African I dont fall under the "Western Media" umbrella. I am simply and African and caught in the middle, and the people of Africa are suffering due to China.

The people of China are ignorant and censored... they dont know the blood that their country is leaving all over the world, and the world itself are a bunch of hypocrites to allow this slaughter to happen.

    Wake up CHINA!

  10. Culture drain no, culture evolution yes. on The World's Languages Are Fast Becoming Extinct · · Score: 1

While to some people clinging onto dead languages means the world to them, language like just about everything in the universe is subject to evolution. English is a perfect example of that, starting with West Germanic roots and moving through to modern day English. All languages are subject to the rules of change in evolution.

Ungainly and less used languages like their living counterparts in the animal kingdom are bound to slowly die out and become extinct. Where some people see a culture drain, I see a culture explosion. Whatever language we end up speaking in 1000 years from now, even if it is English, it will not be familiar to those of us around today.

Change is inevitable, and its normally for the best. Evolution has a way of choosing whats most efficient and what works the best.

    * Internet Archive sued ME first!
    * Internet Archive sued me to get a court to say that its making 87 unauthorized versions of this entireweb site and displaying it was ok, (that their copying without seeking permission, without paying fees, without consideration for the harmful uses to which the child savers would put this site against falsely accused parents and in total defiance of my lawful licensing of uses of this intellectual property).
    * Yes, I sued back, and so far, won the most important part of Internet Archive's motion to dismiss.

These same people are harassing me by calling my home phone with NON -stop harassment, threats, obscenities and abuses.

I have learned, but not yet verified that digg.com and informationweek.com have reportedly written articles about this lawsuit. . .oddly, without contacting me for my side of the story. Really piss poor journalism if you ask me.

So - you psychos who are calling me non-stop and REFUSING to give their names (cowards) - my sheriff's office is trapping your calls and I'm pressing charges. I am also reporting each of your abusive and harassing emails. I enjoy a good respectful debate as much as the next guy, but I'm not anybody's whipping boy.

I really hate stuff like this.

Theoretical physicists who think they know more than any other type of scientist simply because they are .... (gasp and awe) ..... physicists! This is just another instance of people trying to generate some media buzz over nothing."

Heimburg and Jackson theorize that sound propagation is a much more likely explanation.

"It's not a "much more likely" explanation at all. Not even slightly.

Propagation of membrane potentials by salutatory conduction along axons (ie. electrical nerve impulses) is confirmed countless times every day all over the world via the endless scientific experiments and medical procedures that are based on that theory. Every level of biology (from the genetic level to the biochemical level to the cellular level to the whole organism level) confirms the electrical impulse theory.

    And here's the clincher...

"Although sound waves usually weaken as they spread out, a medium with the right physical properties could create a special kind of sound pulse or "soliton" that can propagate without spreading or losing strength. "

Oh I see. So in order to substantiate their unproven idea that nerve impulses are actually sound and not electrical in nature, they are invoking an unknown and theoretical set of physiological conditions that must be present in order for their theory to be correct! What absurd circular logic.
