I think the people who are whining about not getting in don't deserve to go to U of M anyhow, they should stick with 12 Mile High.

I need you to put this on a t-shirt. We can seel them in front of the Union. That would be the best.

Yep. That's called the "Democratic Primary" rule, or as I like to call it, the "Media declaring a foregone conclusion from the poll results of a tiny subset of the voting population, covering that candidate and ONLY that candidate while constantly referring to him as the 'front-runner', resulting in the uninformed voting public voting for that candidate based on the aforementioned fallacious foregone conclusion."

It's easier to say "Democratic Primary" rule, though, so let's stick to that.

In my state (Michigan) homosexual couples are afforded all the rights and priviliges of a married couple, from changing your name to sharing health care benefits as a Same Sex Domestic Partner. This begs the question, what is the big deal about being able to get a marriage license? You're not gaining anything under the eyes of the law. I'm not a homosexual, so perhaps that's not something I can understand.

What I can understand is the heterosexual viewpoint, which is if homosexual unions are "recognized" as legal marriages, then what is marriage? Rather than a sacrament and a union of two people in order to rear children, what is it? Why not let polygamists get married, then?

I can see homosexuals wanting to legitimize what is in FACT an alternative lifestyle, but if that's what you're going for, call it that. Don't seek approval from the majority in your choice of lifestyle.

This is all just my opinion, and wildly offtopic.

Not "freely". Publishing rights and royalties are always worked out ahead of time, even for the smallest of samples. Failure to do so results in disastrous lawsuits and LARGE royalties being paid out to the original artist/publisher. This happened when Peter Gunz & Lord Tariq sampled Steely Dan's Black Cow for their Deja Vu (Uptown Baby). Steely Dan was awarded six figures plus sole writing credit and rights to all future publishing, which pretty much meant that Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz made about $5 off the platinum single.

Reasonable. Why not a portable hand-held POWERED sniffer, then? You'd have to code the firmware to be able to distinguish multiple signals in one location, but it could be done, and pretty cheap. Wal-Mart is using portable hand-held units for it's RFID shipping dealy. Even with only a small power source, it'd be possible to sniff from a short distance, say from the other side of the pump.
