If you are aware of a specific organization that will accept my values in return for cold, hard cash, please e-mail me the location and other information. Also, I've got loads of character that I've been meaning to trade in.
Yes off-topic, but that first link is a pretty good story. I was wondering if anyone would get around to mentioning what a bleeding hypocrite Rumsfield is being with his blustering about the Geneva Conventions.
The Digital Output is always active except when playing DRM encoded content, at which point it is disabled. This is a requirement of DRM support otherwise the Audigy 2 would simply not be able to play DRM encoded content, e.g. DVD-Audio, as would be the case for other non-supporting soundcards.
So, no thank you. Also...
Unlike most other Soundcards though, the Audigy 2 can also send a 2, 4 or 5.1 channel signal over it's digital output using a 4 pole mini-jack. For the most part this will only remain compatible with Creative's own Speaker systems e.g. MegaWorks 510D, Inspire 5700, etc. while other receivers are likely to output this signal as stereo.
Sweet. So I also get a crippled Digital Out. Where's my wallet, I must have one of these!
...instead, turn down all those RELATIONSHIPS. Stick to random banging.
Also, stick with track and football through high school, and stop with that fairy orchestra nonsense.
Get contacts as early as possible.
When you get to Michigan, f*cking STUDY! And pay attention to your GOD DAMN bills! Full scholarship does NOT mean everything is paid for, asshat! And QUIT using credit cards that you can't pay the bills on! Then we can get a f*cking CAR before we're NINETY! Oh, and don't tell Candice you like her, just stick your d*ck in her. Repeat with various other females.
Kiss it goodbye and place a call for a cable modem. With this ruling, the owners of the lines (the Baby Bell's) do not HAVE to lease their line's to any other companies. Thus removing the thing that STARTED the proliferation of DSL in the first place, and eliminating any competition to the Telecoms. You want DSL, get it through a Baby Bell. No other options.
This of course means that DSL can have the same restrictions put on it that cable does (no incoming requests, no servers, no static ips), which I'm sure will benefit "fighting terrorism", 'cuz we all know that terrorists run their own web servers from home via DSL.
*sigh* Anyone in the Michigan area want to share-lease a T1?
Once in space, the probes would use ion propulsion engines that provide thrust by shooting out a stream of electrically charged particles. Power for the ion engines would be provided by ultra-lightweight solar arrays.
Hmmmm....so, a pair of flat, lightweight solar arrays. I betcha you'd have to mount the ion engines in parallel, to keep the thing from spinning uncontrollably. And a center sensor/instrumentation package...
I'm personally running the Sid version, which works great with a few minor quirks (Rep hangs on occasion and needs a good -HUP spanking), nothing horrible to deal with. There are also unnoffical Woody packages, if that's your bag.
BWJones:Perhaps because it, with OS X is the best solution that allows me to wirelessly stream audio anywhere in my house to laptops or desktops with a minimum of fuss. And I should also mention that iTunes is a sweet music database application. The G4 also serves up DVD's for viewing enjoyment to a large screen monitor and can do this while someone else listens to music and gets their email or surfs the web among other things. As for the hardware, its actually an older G4 that I installed some big hard drives in to take all of the MP3s I ripped from my (paid for) collection.
Rest of Slashdot: Oh. Well....ummm....Mac's are STUPID! They...they only have one mouse button! Yeah! So NAH!
RATS! I thought I'd be the first person to make that association.
How much sooner until biking leathers come with mini-airbags all over, with an emergency inflated cervical collar to protect from head and neck trauma? Here in Michigan we have helmet laws (Bleah)...this could clear that right up!
Fiduciary responsibility mandates that the company must act in the best interests of the shareholders, true. This does not mean that they must make a profit, only that they must be TRYING to make a profit. They are not in any way obligated to ACTUALLY profit.
Enron and all the rest, scandals over lying to stockholders about the financial viability of a company to [get them to buy|keep them from selling]. THAT goes against fiduciary responsibility.

I just had to try it...
Hey wow, it does! So does this mean we need a new metaphor? How about...
obvious plagiarism?
Or even...
borrows liberally?

Never mind.

Any buil-in DRM things or other nastiness that I need to know about? Meaning, can I use the full potential of this card in Linux?
No it hasn't. The 9700 PRO was ANNOUNCED six months ago. You couldn't actually GET one until about six WEEKS ago.
Hear hear! Classic quote from Road Trip:
"When you get older you'll be PAYING for girls like these!"
Wisdom.

Why does this sound familiar?
I mean, if we only had a wheelbarrow, that would be something.
And here you are:

Oh, come on mods. That's fucking FUNNY.
I would have taken this bit of math more seriously if it weren't for the fact that 48 months is 4 years, not 5.
Sure, I'm anal. But I'm right.
That is the best signature I have ever seen. I bow before you, O Wise One.
Anything to get it over Spider-Man, eh?

Oh, that Lucas. Anything to say "Episode II: Highest grossing movie of 2002!!!"
Spider-Man: $403,706,375
Episode II: $301,131,530
...I give it a week or two before someone buys a patent for "Accessing digital storage devices via a network" and sues.
Jeesh.
Whoops....didn't even see that. Sorry about that, simple misread on my part.

It's not against the law to tank in business.
I didn't want to get slashed so I avoided that like the plague.
Thanks again,
Scott
Well, there goes that idea.
I'm sorry, what's that you say?
Couldn't hear you.
Definitely. Until you realize that the Danger Device is MSRP $200USD, and the Noia 9290 is MSRP $599USD.
