I think the potention chemical energy in water is greater than sunlight. But the efficiency of gasoline in cars is way higher than 15%. And when you take into account that one gallon of water weighs 8 pounds, WAY more than gasoline, you can carry less fuel that will get you less far. It's a far less efficient system unless they actually mean you carry around the hydrogen. Even then shipping water to a refinery with the weight of it isn't cheap either.
you know it's possible with certain devices already invented years ago or just some seriously hardcore mental training, you can remember and control all your dreams. I tried it and I did alright with it but I kept screwing up and waking up at like 2:00 AM and it pissed me off so I stopped. Plus my dreams are screwed up! yes, programs do indirectly control how many cores they use. If you only run your program's processor intensive code in one thread, the OS's scheduler can only assign it to one core and that's that. If it was capable of splitting a single thread between cores, every program would work well on multi-core systems. Like a zip password cracker for instance. The one I run only uses 100% of one core. If they coded another thread to try the second half of the list of passwords and started both threads at once, then it'd use both cores. And like I said, nobody programmed their programs to split the processing into three parts, only 1, 2, or 4. And like I said, if one program is using up all the cores and maxing them out, your system appears frozen because explorer.exe and other such processes don't get enough resources. If you have one core open, other processes from other programs can use it so it appears faster to have 3 cores than 4 under some circumstances.
And by the way, how often does more than one process running on your computer at any given time use up a significant amount of processor resources? Yeah, almost never. Most of them sit there idle.

They work in the most basic way completely differently from each other. We can look at a picture and say it's Steve Jobs in a sombraro and a million computers couldn't figure that out in years of facial recognition and object comparison. And yet it'd take a room full of humans with pencils and paper to figure out certain math operations that computers can do in under a second. Computers are linear and human brains and dynamic and relational. Computers can't do hardly anything open ended and we can't do linear stuff very well. And yes you can write code for relational database access but it doesn't come close and the IO time on any storage media can't come close to a human brain.

Like windows movie maker. It has multiple threads but the video encoding one can only run on one core. Then there's the dual core friendly ones. If possible, they'll use both cores. If you're lucky it will also expand to 4 if you have a quad. But very few programs can handle 3 cores. That's because for programmers, tasks and data and everything really just doesn't divide very well by uneven numbers like 3. So most programs will use 2 of the 3 cores. So now instead of your system being just about locked up because all the cores are maxed, you have one more core to do normal windows stuff like refreshing the form and letting you do something else. If it was quad though, all 4 would be maxed and you couldn't do anything. Yes I know, with quads the task running would get done faster but does anyone really get up and make a sandwich and just let it run? I open my TV Tuner Card viewing program or check my e-mail lol.

This article doesn't make any sense. Hydrogen + burning = water. Hydrogen contains hydrogen atoms and no carbon at all. And if I assume they mean how engine lubricant oil burns off a bit and that's the carbon emissions, they said they're going to trap the carbon emissions and ship it back to be made into fuel. Besides such a system having to use more energy than it generates, why would you do that when you have hydrogen powered cars? You wouldn't need to make hydrocarbon fuels from emissions if cars don't run on it anymore. And then they say they're going to dump the liquified carbon emissions somewhere under the ocean or in a mountain or whatever.

Newer motherboards and all Vista machines can't do that apparently because that's the ultimate encryption and DRM buster. There's just no stopping it. So if they really mean a "filter" it would have to be a content filter which of course wouldn't work because how could it tell an legal, bought downloading song from a p2p downloading song? All it has to do is block one single legal file and they've got a law suit. So until they find a way to telepathetically beam the music only into my head and not the air as sound waves based on my DNA or retina, they're out of luck.
