Perhaps, but since he did low carb, guaranteed 10-15lbs of that was water weight. I lost over 15lbs in my first week doing low carb, but almost all of it was water. About 4 days in starting the diet I was literally pissing every hour, and taking pretty much pure liquid shits every 2-3 hours for two days straight. My body was dumping huge amounts of excess water. I was way less puffy.
So he probably lost an actual 25-30lbs of fat instead of 40, which is an ok amount if morbidly obese, but not a rate that is sustainable for a long period of time.
Ive been averaging a loss of 2lbs/week for the past 10 months. I think I will be able to sustain it for another 2 or 3 months, but then will need to lower down to 1.5 as right now I can only eat 1700 cals on non workout days which is difficult. Most days I go over but I also dont eat back exercise calories.
When I used to eat like shit it was weird, there would be some unhealthy food that I thought tasted gross (such as certain kind of donuts, candy, etc) but if I ate it and didnt like it.. for some reason I was still compelled to continue eating it. Even though I knew it tasted gross, I was addicted to the high fat and/or high sugar.
Of course I would think vegetables tasted cross and wouldnt be compelled to finish eating them.
Luckily that has all changed now and eat a lot healthier.. Sure I still occasionally go for some of those snack foods, but if I dont like it I throw it away, and I have one serving of it and that's it. And when I do want to treat myself, I will usually go for something a bit more high quality, because why waste the empty calories on something that tastes like shit.
Not really. I work in the Animal Health field, and many manufacturers put arsenic in the animal feed. They have been cracking down on it in the past couple years though, but still is fairly common.
There was an interesting report that came out about our local recycling. All glass that is recycled, the municipality ends up taking to the dump anyways. They said there is zero demand for recycled glass so they have no option except throwing it in the dump. However, they do tell people to keep recycling it anyways since when they eventually do find a source to take it, they dont want people throwing it out instead
Oh really? Funny.. I used to eat like shit and do zero exercise and ballooned up to 350lbs. in the past 9 months I ate less, exercised more, and lost 85lbs. So how exactly was my lifestyle, exercise, and diet not the cause of my obesity? (mind you I am still obese, but if I keep on track within 6 or so months I should be down to overweight instead of obese) 3 of my friends who used to be overweight/obese lost weight the same way I did.
A lot of kids seem to stay inside and play videogames instead of playing out doors. A lot of people have way more sedentary jobs then they did 60 years ago. Portion sizes are a lot bigger than they did 60 years ago. My parents never seen a "big gulp"/super big gulp/ double big gulp growing up. Seriously, who drinks over 1L of pop in a sitting??? They also would have a soda drink as a treat on special occasions, not every single day or heaven forbid, multiple servings per day.
You go to a theatre and one person will be eating a bucket of popcorn that should be enough for a family of five. Probably extra artificial butter on it too. People will order a large pizza and eat the entire thing themselves, when it used to feed a family of four.
which would be a poor investment, because then pepsi would just completely replace coca-cola.. And if you bought them out then some other third party would rise.
Not to mention "healthy" drinks like fruit juices often contian just as much calories and sugar as soda does. Sure 100% orange juice may contain more micronutrients than a soda, but it is pretty much just as unhealthy as a soft drink... Actually looking iat it it is WORSE.. contains same amount of sugar, and MORE calories than an equivalent amount of coke.
Yeah this thing looks sweet. I definitely want to get the wireless PC xbox one controller, I just dont know if I can justify the price for the elite though as much as I would love it. I just dont play enough of the type of games on PC that require the sensitivity, customizable hair triggers, etc.. but I can definitely see the appeal for the people who play racing games, sports, shooters, etc.
Between family share plans, people who have multiple devices, and people who have zero interest in apples streaming platform, there is no way they will get a 13% paid subscription rate.
And I have the exact opposite experience. We have 8x the usage on iOS vs android, and android users complain a lot more (some legit, some just outrageous requests)
what I dont understand, is I watched a few of his videos and havent heard him say anything inappropriate. But every post he makes online seems to be littered with "nigger" and "atheist"
ah cause you think you're a hotshot in college knows all the latest tech, and cant figure out why the company wont use bleeding edge technologies. You dont really know about legacy support, or that a significant portion of your customers havent upgraded from windows 98 to xp, so still need to support it (this was 10+ years ago, and we still need to support xp / ie6)
nah he is a stubborn 75 year old british guy who just in this past 5 years finally came to the realization that the internet is here to stay. For the longest time he thought it was a passing fad. And I am not even joking.
I remember 2 years ago that he told me to add a feature to our website that changes the background color every month, and he wanted to approve the colours. Colours such as purple, shit brown, etc (oh and I forgot to mention my boss is also colour blind). This also meant having to change text colours so they wouldnt clash. I still have nightmares of the flourescent orange text on a blue background. I did it for a couple months but then I just outright refused because it looked so bad. 1990 geocities sites looked better than ours. I think he finally came to terms that he didnt need to micromanage the tech side of the business.
I mean this is a guy who gets his secretary to print off every email he gets, dictates his response into a voice recorder, and gives it to his secretary to type up an email. We call it the 9:30 flood because he always dictates the night before so she comes in at 9 and has 20 responses on the voice recorder waiting for her to type up.
He has no business in stating how he thinks a website should work.
this so much. As a lot of young people straight out of college I thought I knew it all. So I heard something and immediatly say "that's stupid, why would it do it that way?" Which ends up as 2 problems a)the person loses some respect for you and b) You could be wrong because you dont know the full picture. So you end up being in a big argument, when finally the other person says something that is key to the discussion that you didnt know about and then it makes sense why they did it that way
So now I always try to do "I dont understand", and "can you please explain the rational?" Because chances are I am just missing a piece of the puzzle. However, I have also learned anything that comes out of my bosses mouth is stupid, so I just nod and agree and do the opposite.
I would say about 50% of the people I know who were pirating content that werent using vpns are now. In the past 3 months I have been asked a dozen times from people a vpn service I recommend. People who I thought didnt even know what a vpn was.
I dont use a vpn. I have received over a dozen notices, and I dont give a shit. They cant do anything other than fine me $100. But they never will because their lawyer costs will be too high to justify it. Ill look into a VPN if the law changes or if it breaks out that people are actually starting to get fined.
Actually, this is a good analogy. You can get from Texas to New York using an F150 or using a Yaris. But what is the purpose? Are you lugging your spouse and 3 kids for a vacation? Then maybe go for an SUV or minivan that provides comfort. Are you transporting some goods? Maybe a truck with a tailer. Is cost a concern? Maybe fuel efficient vehicle. Are you a hipster? Maybe a Tesla. But even with these different requirements, you still have choices.
exactly. happened once ever. And you right, I was preparing for a thanksgiving diner (canada so october). My thermostat was set to auto so AC kicked in due to all the heat coming from stove (and was a particulalry warm october.. i did turn off ac though). Was also doing laundry+dishes.
why dont you jusst create a self signed wildcard cert and install it in your browser?Thats what we do for our local development we have a wildcard cert with multiple SAN and it works great. Then just install it in our keychain

except you look at a lot of the big branded beef jerky on the grocery store and they are full of added sugars as well.

Maybe if you spelled it correctly, that would help, instead of an entirely different word
Not really. I work in the Animal Health field, and many manufacturers put arsenic in the animal feed. They have been cracking down on it in the past couple years though, but still is fairly common.

I wouldnt say it's good for you, but I wouldn't say it's bad either, as long as the majority of your diet isn't consisted of it.
pretty much, because you see how many go broke within a few years after their career is over?
Oh really? Funny.. I used to eat like shit and do zero exercise and ballooned up to 350lbs. in the past 9 months I ate less, exercised more, and lost 85lbs. sorry did incorrect mod of overrated.. meant to do funny
No kidding, i played both, 3 was good, but NV by far was my favourite.

face/off
There was an AMA (ask my anything) on reddit a couple days ago from the devs of city skylines, and someone asked this very question
"What would you do if EA tried to buy you?"
They responded with "Something like this".
Yup I think you nailed the answer on the head.
