Totally anecdotal, but I know several people who have cancelled their reservations because they expected a $35K car and the only configurations being produced are $55k+. So they buy something like the Kia Niro or Nissan Leaf, instead. Tesla has already lost the under $40k EV market.
As of February, there are no plans for the Falcon 9 or the Falcon Heavy to ever be human rated. Elon is pushing that off until BFR, which won't even begin testing for another year.

Hi Rei,
I just logged in to thank you. Back in October, when I said Tesla stock overpriced, you dared me to short it. Well, I did and I made a 10% gain in under 3 months! My only regret was not holding onto that short even longer so I could benefit from Elon Musk's latest batshit conference to torpedo the stock even further. But that's why its called a "short", right? Thanks again.
Social media might inflame people's emotions. But it neutralizes their actions.
The major revolutions of the 19th century happened because people had to physically gather in order to air their grievances, discuss their ideas, and design their plots. Once they had a crowd gathered together, it was literally a step away from marching out into the streets and taking to the barricades. The internet doesn't have that physical organizational power. Keyboard warriors fuming away at their desks are relatively harmless. Sure, you might get few lone kooks who shoot up a church. But the instant gratification of social media cannot sustain large scale organized action.
All that may be true. It wasn't cheap. It didn't have fast turn around. But it was still the first orbital class launcher to have a reusable first stage. All back when Elon Musk was still watching cartoons in his underoos.
There is no God-given right prevent your work from being copied, either. In the US, copyright is founded on Article 1, Section 8, clause 8 of the Constitution. “To promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries.” If we determine that copyright laws are not in harmony with promoting science and art, we are justified in overturning those laws.
Because Plex and Kodi are just players. They don't actually host any content. If you're pirating all your content, then Plex or Kodi are reasonable solutions. If you have some legal or moral hesitation over pirating, they aren't very useful.
Could Bill Gates get $1 billion cash in 24hrs? Sure. But Bill Gates is supposedly "worth" about $70 billion. How much of that could he get in cash in one year? What happens to markets when word gets out that Gates is cashing out everything?
I've never seen anyone properly explain why that wouldn't be good enough for Bitcoin, but it is good enough for gold.
I've seen lots of people, including myself, try to explain this to you in almost every Bitcoin related thread. You're just too dense to learn and we've given up trying.
Any valuation of wealth is speculative until it is actualized into the denomination specified. Even when converting between two different currencies. If I have a few leftover euros in my pocket after a trip, their worth in US dollars is speculative until I actually make the exchange.
Exactly! I've tried to explain this many times and usually get modded down. Valuation of personal wealth based largely on securities should not be compared to cash in the bank.
This is a real problem for the Gates Foundation because it limits how much they can cash out to spend before it disrupts the stock market.
There is such a thing as being so cheap that it is not financially sound. Having clean clothes and showering every day gives you a massive increase in earning potential. Living near a major city provides access to more job opportunities. Having a balanced diet prevents costly health problems in the future. IMO, the most financially efficient lifestyle is owning a home in a city, but renting out some rooms to cover the costs. If you own a three bedroom house and you're renting out two of the rooms, you should be close to break-even. With none of the downsides of living under a bridge.
Want fun in your life? Think about this: With some shopping around, $850 will pay for two round-trip airline tickets to just about anywhere in the world. I'm not quite as frugal as Baron Yam claims to be, but I'd rather spend on memorable, meaningful experiences than daily hum-drum routine.

but find me a tweet (even the joke ones) that hasn't turned into reality
Any of the Model 3 production estimates
If you don't put the item back the original spot, you should be charged anyway just for being an inconsiderate jerk.
What direction are you travelling through time?
If this was the primary explanation, then every field would have the same gender disparity.

Space History for $100: This was the first orbital class launcher to have a reusable first stage.
You're pretty cocky for someone who is clearly wrong, but refuses to admit it and keeps arguing anyway.

Neither was SpaceX. Do you remember a little vehicle called the Space Shuttle? The only component that wasn't reused was the external fuel tank.

There is some precedent for disobeying unjust laws.

This was one of the reasons currency was eventually decoupled from gold and silver.
Now you've added two extra steps that have to be performed with every instance of media. As well as significantly more cost.

I'll be surprised if the US is still intact in 15 years, let alone honoring an environmental treaty.
