I shoulda previewed. *sigh* For what its worth, i do feel shame, and I do not deserve the karma bonus either for that post. Moderators, please mod parent down while I flog myself.
I rather liked more than half of the episodes. I blame this series' fall 100% on that damn theme song. I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't scream out loud in horror and disgust every time they hear the first bar.
Maybe there's an army of steel magnolia robots in some warehouse in Pasadena, just waiting for their decoy to draw everyone to one place long enough to unleash their fury.
Let me just be the first to say, I, for one, welcome our new Botanical Robot Overlords!
seriously. flying lawnmower. just think about it. its like a running-with-scissors elemental. if someone let these things out nobody would have any fingers anymore.
After all, where would Microsoft be right now if it weren't for IBM letting good 'ol Billy G. use them like a cheap inflatable sheep? Its refreshing to see them standing up for Linux, which embodies scientific collaboration, the forward progress of technology and the good of humanity rather than greedy irresponsible corporatism in sheep's clothing.
Still... I'm suspicious enough to wonder what their long-term (10+ year) plan for linux really is...
ever actually READ an EULA on a piece of commercial software? its a lot of really complicated legal text saying just that; they're not responsible for anything the software does to your computer. the *microsoft* EULAs usually also say you're legally bound to keep your mouth shut about anything bad the software does to your computer. i'm not joking. read one sometime.
