Rotational media will always return more revenue because of their limited life cycle. These companies see no benefit in selling SSD's cheap when they may outlast standard hardrives by 10 fold. Most consumer goods are designed to last only so long.
What a Laugh! The Government can't even update their websites in less than 90 days. They are too inefficient to complete a task like this within a few months.
Cloud Hosting not only saves your money with licenses and hardware, but you also save money with backing up your data. Our company doesn't use Cloud Hosting, and it gets very expensive with all the equipment we have to maintain and license. We also have to maintain DR servers in-case of catastrophic failure. But the drawback to Cloud Hosting is raw processing/network speed, unless you can afford a very high speed Fiber WAN.
I know it sounds crazy, but just think, if we all vote online, we can all keep track of our votes. We can see what/who we voted for, and have the option to publicly announce it online. If we think someone has been fudging the numbers, a re-count could be a simple has checking your email, and verifying how you voted. I would think that it would be easier for computer geeks to catch problems if something doesn't look right.
When I vote on paper, I never see that ballet again. Who knows what happens to it, probably gets trashed.
Facebook doesn't offer much that people absolutely need, and most of their revenue comes from advertising. Once people get sick of the spam and popups, people will flock to someplace else. I wouldn't invest my money if Facebook.
This is nothing new really. They had similar technology back in the 70's but it was never pursued much because people preferred driving BIG GAS HOGS. 1975 Honda Civic had a similar type of technology - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CVCC. I owned one of these cars. It was small, an automatic without the D (drive), just speeds 1 and 2. Wish I still had the car today.
According to the article "China, which is one of H.P.’s highest growth areas, will probably be spared, as will its research and development efforts." . Basically, cut 30,000 American Jobs and replace them with 30,000 Asian workers for 1/10th the cost.
I can imagine that people who spend time drinking 3-4 cups of coffee a day, probably don't get outside much. If you're indoors most of the time, drinking coffee, than chances of you dieing from an accident, or getting shot is probably low. I mean, there could be many other factors involved that could explain why coffee drinkers live longer, not just because they drink coffee.
It's going to equal more fragmented support. You buy the latest and greatest just to find that your hardware/software don't support it. Developers and Manufactures are already having a difficult time supporting so many different platforms.
Fast CPU and Ram is great but we are still limited to slow crappy Hard Drives (SSD's too expensive) and OS's / Software that don't take advantage of current technology, let alone next generation.
I had an old HTC Touch Pro 2 that I wasn't using anymore, but it had a good camera on it. So I installed a webcam software that allowed me to broadcast over the web or to an iPad/Android tablet. I just used a basic car mount and placed on the dresser, worked like a charm. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pas.webcam&hl=en
Cisco maybe expensive but they are reliable. We changed our switches and routers with Cisco and have had zero problems since. You get what you pay for.
a child's education. Since California is composed of so many illegal immigrants who can't even speak English, let alone Add and Subtract, it's no wonder so many kids are falling behind!

Install VNC on a cheap SmartPhone and display whatever you want remotely from another computer.
starting auction price will be some crazy amount!
My guess is they will have it only available for Black Berry Phones, knowing BB will soon be bankrupt.

Neuromancer, I remember playing this game back in the early 80's on my Commodore 64.

Space 1999, haven't watched that show in years. Guess that really shows our age.
I seriously doubt going to the moon is on anyone's mind. It's just pointless PR that means nothing.
It's about the same size as the Star Wars Death Star, maybe Darth Vader is hiding in there.

I live in Maine, and the land mass here has been slowly rising. I guess I'll be safe, even if sea level rises.
The sooner humans realize this, the better the world will be.

The SUN gives us free energy. It's time we harnessed it.

Now the Hackers can write a virus that will Wipe and Smoke your hard drive if you refuse to buy their Malware Antivirus Scam!

They should refund you if you decide to leave before the movie finishes.
