I know LGP is still alive, I just finished beta testing a game for them some months back; Shadowgrounds:Survivor. Good game, minimal porting issues. That and I still buy the occasional game from them, last one was Majesty:Gold, old but still fun.
What get's me is all the folks wanting to usurp the lawfully made decisions of the electorate of California. "We don't like this law, just because (supply a reason), so we'll throw it out, whether the voters who voted for it in the first place like it or not".
"Rights" are merely the privileges a society grants it's members; what a society grants, it can revoke at any time. Until such time as we can show that "rights" are inherent, we should always be mindful that we control society and not the other way around.
Morty, I feel your pain, I am a 47 year old gamer...go figure? LOL. I would recommend turn based games, say, use a SNES emulator (ChronoTrigger!) on a comp, try Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, etc. All the years of typing at a comp, I'm a network admin, have left me with hands that go numb if I type too long, carpal tunnel, no doubt. But nothing should leave you unable to enjoy yourself, there are work-arounds to every problem, it's just up to us to find them. And while there are a lot of humorous comments (and some not so humorous, I agree) you just have to have the determination and will to keep having fun..............'nuff said.

At first I thought that this was an article from the Onion, but after reading the TFA, I'm having a hard time believing this would pass a patent exam.

That presupposes that Microsoft will still be around to make a Windows 8 if this fiasco is maintained.
Finally, change we can believe in!
Just because he promised "change" doesn't mean it'll be a "good" change!
