Size most certainly does. As someone else said, those safety ratings are for the same class of car. If you hit something bigger, you're toast.
The problem lies in the crumple zone - in the Smart car there almost is no crumple zone or an area where an impact can be absorbed - you'll just bounce off of the bigger vehicle. The problem there is all that force is transferred directly to your body, and no, you wouldn't survive that. Air bags can only do so much.
"Oh but Apple is more closed than Android" yes, but they manage the updates. I have guaranteed official upgrades for a couple of versions. And I can always JB if I want.
OK, I call bullshit on this one. I had an iPhone 3G - I had to update it to get some additional functionality. It broke bluetooth for my headpiece and my car. It took Apple SIX MONTHS to fix it and release something. This affected more than half of their client base. And guess what? I couldn't downgrade. I was stuck for that time with no bluetooth.
When I read the summary, I immediately thought of an episode of Dirty Jobs where they were in a sewage treatment plant. Everything on TV looked like chocolate, but Mike Rowe was saying it was a good thing you couldn't smell it...
A TV that emits smells really isn't needed. I wonder why they're even bothering to develop it. One of the best things is you can't smell whatever they're filming.
Android is still largely a smart phone OS whereas iOS (previously know as iPhone OS) started out on the original iPhone but quickly came out on the iPod Touch and then the iPad last year.
Sorry, but the Touch is just a phone-type device without phone capability and the iPad is an oversize phone and has similar limitations. I almost spit out coffee while laughing when I read that comment.
When did they do that? We started phasing out blackberries where I work due to cost. Most users weren't terribly happy with the user interface of the blackberry either.
They (Sony & Microsoft) may not have announced anything, but it's asinine to think that they haven't already gone through engineering and R&D processes. They are likely experimenting now, and waiting for the price of hardware to come down. I've played a few recent games and the graphics seem to look better and better every year.
I suspect in the Xbox's case the limited size of the medium (DVD discs) will become a factor before CPU and video will.
Actually, I was thinking something different. Wait until a robot kills passengers in its own car avoiding some other dipshit that doesn't know how to drive.
If you had two PCs side by side, one with Windows, and one with, say, Ubuntu, and asked an "average" user which one is a PC and they'll invariably point to the Windows machine. Of course it's not correct, but it's true for most of the population.
When I read this, I immediately thought of them shooting themselves in the foot. Chances are that they're not going to use their songs anymore, so the teachers will find other songs not restricted by royalties.
You'd think at that point they'd want exposure to the young'uns to get them hooked to their music, not the other way around... not saying that's right either, but hey.
Realistically you don't unless you're being greedy (i.e. I don't need an Acura to get to work - a Honda is good enough).
Not a good analogy, an Acura IS a Honda. For some strange reason North America didn't carry over normal naming. Toyota and Lexus are the same, as are Nissan and Infiniti. Everywhere else in the world the NSX is known as the Honda NSX.
If you play the drums in "expert" difficulty then the beat is usually 100% the same as the actual song. In one song in Rock Band it seemed like you had to play the hi-hat in double time compared to what the actual song was playing but that's about the only difference I noticed.
In addition to this, Rock Band 3's Pro Drums Expert mode with the kit is extremely close to playing real drums. The pads are closer together of course, but if you manage to get the "hang" of that, transitioning to a real drum set would not be that hard. The only thing that's odd is that the drums seem to be pressure sensitive but they don't actually carry that over into the game, unlike Guitar Hero (which marks notes differently that do have to be hit harder.) If you have one of these notes it can overpower the softer notes on the cymbals and almost make them seem nonexistant. But they are there if you listen closely, and that attributes playing the hi-hat seemingly double time. Everlong is an example of this, every fourth hit on the hi-hat is supposed to be a harder hit.
I beg to differ - I come from up north and changing the clock had no effect. Dark going to work, and dark coming home. We were lucky to get 7 hours of daylight.
There are thousands of accidents after each DST shift, all due to the human body not taking a sudden change in time well. I have a sleep disorder, so I understand this well - it takes me at *least* a week for my body's clock to adjust to the new time. It is this fuzz that causes these mental lapses that cause extra traffic accidents and pedestrian incidents.
It is so bad that for the week before and after here there's tons of advertising (web, radio, tv programmes (news/commercials)) telling people to be extra cautious. So why do we do it again? I really wish I lived in a province that didn't, but there's no work for me there...
My brother does. He uses a (very loud) air raid siren as his wakeup tone. Well, he used that tone until he scared the crap out of others in the dorm at 6 AM.
Argh. If they're not joint owners, they're hit with the estate tax. Joint owners are not charged for this. They can apply to have the name removed from ownership.

Yep, although more commonly referred to as PEBKAC.

To hell with driving schools. Bring on the teleporters! No traffic and other idiots to deal with, just beam yourself where you need to go.
I seriously doubt the future has cars in it. (I mean long-term...)
Not to mention it's rather well known they don't like electric cars or hybrids...
Nah, every other house will have them spin in the opposite direction.
Nah, they just forgot to mention you can't cut it without a Microsoft knife, or eat it without Microsoft spoons... ;)

Mine works well. Couple of Torx screwdrivers, a 3" belt sander, 50 grit sandpaper, and a vise. It's pretty watching the sparks fly...

Better yet, have Bender's voice saying "Bite my shiny metal ass!"

Yep, things like 5.1 surround and a LCD TV can introduce a LOT of lag. I never had problems on the old CRT + TV speakers.

Yes, but the application shouldn't be allowed to alter settings in the registry other than its own.

Mine does too. It also auto-sets itself if there's a power interruption. Set the thing once and forget about it.

Unless they are joint owners.
