This guy's toast!
The MAFIAAs should be already on his ass...
Dowloading movies and OSTs of movies *just* to demonstrate Fonera's functionality?

In my case I learned English due to my enthusiasm for IT, lots of movies and music.
I didn't even have to study for my English classes.
My constant interaction with computers and the internet was what made me fluent.
I totally agree with the guy though.
Funny story, for my proficiency "Speaking" exam the subject was on-line privacy.
It was like giving me the certification as soon as I sat down.:P
Make clients identify an object from a picture. Machines can't describe objects in pictures: if machines can't describe the picture, how the hell is the CAPTCHA server supposed to verify that the client gave the correct answer? If a human being manually inputs the pictures and acceptable descriptions for each, then another human can program his attacking machine to do the same thing! Having a large, but finite set of pictures doesn't help either since a machine doesn't need to solve the CAPTCHA every time. It can just learn the correct responses without actually understanding the image. ANY APPROACH BASED ON IDENTIFYING A MEMBER OF A FINITE SET DOES NOT WORK AS A CAPTCHA.
So you think that with normal CAPTCHAs the server computer analyzes the picture in order to know what the CAPTCHA word is?
Does that make any sense to you?
The word is stored in the session of the client.
Session data is stored on the server and is preserved throughout the visit of the client.
When the CAPTCHA is loaded on the browser the server already knows what the word on the image is and stores it in the user session.
When you hit sumbit the server-side application reads your input and compares to the correct word which is stored in the session.
In the case of the 3D CAPTCHA the structure will be like an associative array of: image_filename => object_type.
I agree on on the finite objects point you made though.
PC meaning what? Windows?
And... Mac meaning OS X?
And... Linux meaning a Linux distro?
Whenever I hear someone referring to systems like that I get in a mood to tell them off.
Last time I checked PC meant Personal Computer.
Are OS X and Linux only running on Cray mainframes nowadays?
He's a security expert and I've also heard my CS professors talk like that..I mean, shouldn't they at least refer to systems properly?
You know it's funny that things flipped.
People used to dismiss Linux distros because they were too much hassle to set up...
I gotta say I like where things are going.:)
40*C could easily give you a heat stroke...
I know 'cause it has happened to me and friends in a hot Greek summer.
Maybe the Sun had to do something with it and not the temperature itself but I don't think that it's unreasonable for 40*C to cause health issues.
And not too few people died this summer all over Europe in similar temperatures... Especially when you go from spending 8 hours in a 40*C room and then going out to let's say 20*C...
...when I were younger.
I had written a complex bitmask hack if I recall to determine return values of a function after encountering a number of errors or something like that.
The manager called me to his office and politely told me to change the code so that the rest will understand.
It wasn't a big deal so I changed the code, it did take x10 LoC but I didn't care.
I'm not the team player kind by any means and I have lots of pounds of several weirdness on me as well but never have I reacted like that, I think the article just blows things out of proportion....
I'd put up a form on my website that returns 42 regardless of input but I cba.
So if you could just mod me +5 funny already that'd be just peachy...

They've been doing that stuff for a while.
With an actual guitar
And they say on their website that the game is going to be released this year. I seriously can't wait.. xD
You can setup a SILC server.
That's what we used to use in a company I worked for and it worked quite nice.
zenzizenzizenzic?

The title may be misleading but the gist is this:
Does this mean that Google reserves the right to filter my web browsing experience in Chrome (without my consent to boot)?

Or is it incrementally compressed?
I'm no expert anyways.

Well, not really.
.Net, we only used OSS technologies (PHP/MySQL/FreeBSD).
I was working on a small web dev firm a couple of years ago and we were MS partners.
And we were not even writing in
The only advantage was that they send MS Win/Office copies with lots of legit serials for us to use.
It's a Greek island mate.
...here.
Don't flame me but... have you ever thought of actually trying one of those SD card "wallets" you mentioned? o.O
It seems to me that you posted a possible solution along with your question...
-Officer: Mr. Simpson., where were you at about 13,600 years ago?
-O.J.: Damn I miss Cochran...
No karma to burn but f' it, I couldn't resist...
