This is even less outrageous then Norton being preloaded, because all it is a default that we could easily switch to a list of competitors available. On the iPhone, I have Google, Yahoo, BIng and DuckDuckGo as options.
Having IE installed and inseparable from Windows is a much different problem. Because you were forced to use the product, even if you didn't want to, every time you open a file explorer, or go to settings, IE is running, with all its features and flaws, and using an alternative browser would take a long time to load up, and perhaps wouldn't be allowed to access the OS optimized features. For this is is just a default bit.

Companies must not make any money at all, All services need to be free open source, collect no information about you, be easy enough for any slob to use it and have no advertisements. These companies must also pay all the people who work there a fair salary for their location, and treat everyone like a god. And they better not take in any money from the government, because if that was the case, then they are obviously dealing with some shady activity.
Companies pay Google for advertising. The reason they pay them is because they get the views. Google gets the views because they offer services to end users that they find useful. Google is a for profit company... Even if it were a not for profit, they would need to bring in nearly the same amount of revenue to keep the organization running.
Normally if a job sucked that much. I would be actively hunting for a new job. However more to the point, it isn’t that you shouldn’t leave miserable jobs that you hate, but don’t expect to be working in a job that you absolutely love either. There are a lot of talented unemployed people who’s sense of entitlement is preventing them from being productive citizens. Just because their job isn’t as fun as their hobbies.

That is true for Black and white. However Color TV's had phosphors setup to make a pixel. Because the analog signal needed to go up and down to create the color.
Even with Black and White, The glow of a phosphor on the screen was of a particular size. So this would limit its practical resolution.

What Microsoft is seeming to really miss is the change of the PC market to the Workstation market. The Personal Computer is now a Phone or Tablet. However systems built with Desktop Based technologies, are now used for either High End Gaming or Real work. It needs much more focus on Making Windows 10 a productive OS, that really gets out of the way on what you are trying to accomplish.

So when I was working a lower end position, where I followed order, they advance me to a different position. Then when I get promoted again, I may become easy on that department and follow rules... Go back and look at some of the old political debates. Even for the policy that didn’t work you can see there was much more thought and insight into it, then today’s debates. This is a proble across the political spectrum globally.

The cost of the Device even spending a couple thousand dollars for one isn't the big issue, it is monthly fees. Buying an expensive device even for a lower middle class family can be done with saving up for it. However the monthly fees for services is constantly affecting quality of life. So if you need a $2k device every 3 years that is saving $13 every month.

Debates on Net Neutrality, Outsourcing of Tech workers, expanding green cards towards tech workers, to trying to kick out all immigrants who may be working tech.
With the decline of the Middle Class, the Technology Sector is one of the few middle class worker areas....
In short life isn't a simple tech job, for a harry toe programmer. Tech is now integrated with the rest or the world.
For the most part, expect companies would want their customers to upgrade because they want to, vs because they have too. This is why these companies try to change the look and feel and add new features to their devices. Because it is was just because their batteries died on them, then chances are they will go with an other company who had better battery life.
I think the biggest killer, is every upgrade, expects more processing power, so each upgrade will use more battery faster.
