I doubt you have to worry about trolls going untagged. Mods tend to jump on trolls pretty quickly, but they rarely mod down the troll feeders. If the feeders keep getting get punished when they react to trolls, hopefully they'll eventually 'get it' and stop giving the trolls what they want. This, in turn, will lead to a decline in the troll population.
I was going to say exactly that in my post and completely forgot. It would be helpful if there was an obvious and relevant moderation for those who feed trolls. I usually go with Flamebait, but it just doesn't sound right.
"It's the humorless automatons who reply to trolls that really clog up message boards."
Exactly. Moderators should spend less time wasting their mod points on anonymous trolls and mod down the slashdotters that reply to them instead. In fact, wouldn't it be great if we got extra mod points specifically to punish people for feeding trolls? That way we'd still have 5 points to reward people for being insightful, interesting, etc.
From TFA: "Irregular beauty is the real beauty," said Dr. Banner, adding that such attempts to measure beauty are driven culturally by sameness, making everyone look alike.
I agree with Dr. Banner, and not just because I don't want to make him angry.
Sorry to disappoint you, but if you listen to the recording or read more info on that page, it's pretty clear he's going forward with it. The book is already titled, even!
They didn't even start at "a". It wasn't until Dapper Drake (6.06) that they started codenaming subsequent releases with the next letter of the alphabet. The first Ubuntu release was Warty Warthog.
But hey, maybe when they get to the end of the alphabet they can add adverbs to the codenames. Amusingly Awkward Antlion, perhaps?
Do you have your graphics cranked up? Because I don't get any noticeable lag at all. It takes a second or two to transition from high orbit to planet surface, but I've never had to wait for anything to render.
I remember someone first introduced me to Last.fm when I told him how awesome Pandora was (this was back when Pandora was still accessible in Canada). He claimed it was better so I gave it a shot, and I wasn't even a little impressed. I really thought it sucked. I'm not sure whether my standards changed due to relative lack of options, or Last.fm has drastically improved, but I can can genuinely recommend it as an excellent music service now.
I may give SomaFM a shot, but I've been thoroughly addicted to Last.fm since Pandora was taken away. While it has totally different methods of determining the music it'll play for you, the resulting playlist is almost as good as a Pandora playlist. And the extra features Last.fm has puts the two services on fairly equal ground (for me, at least).
Indeed. As someone who has had open heart surgery in his late twenties (twice), I can tell you that you're going to get a hell of a lot of needles going the old-fashioned way, too.
Perhaps the most long-awaited security feature of all, the IE8 team promises that it will immediately uninstall itself if someone mistakenly puts it on their PC.
While de Grey and colleagues are very excited about their findings, they warn that repeated exposure to the Lazarus Pits may drive some people quite mad.
the last truly great non-animated TV series i saw was Arrested Development, but that canceled after only 2 seasons.
If you really think (as I do) that Arrested Development was one of the last great series on TV, then I suggest you look for season 3.
Call me when they have a Night Elf Mohawk.

You wanna save the franchise? Base the next game on Street Fighter: The Later Years.
My memory must be slipping. I could have sworn they announced it next weekend.

Surely, the 'h' on 'his' would be capitalized. Wait a minute... You're not a bible scholar at all, are you?
You can probably play Spore forever if you want to wander the stars indefinitely, but there IS an endgame at the centre of the universe.

I still want Pandora back, though.
I've had terrible luck with proxies. I tried dozens of different proxies to get to Pandora and never succeeded.
It can come to Canada! When Pandora stopped streaming outside the US, I died a little inside.
#5 - Once you take care of the "introverted" problem... get a girlfriend and do a lot of the world's #1 calorie-burning exercise.
Your girlfriend makes you take her shopping too, eh? I don't care what she says -- the only thing getting thinner is my wallet.
Did anybody else read the title of this story and wonder if Spider-Man was dabbling in epidemiology?

Pfft. Call me when they implement a 'microwave digital surround effect' on this thing. Then I'll be impressed.
Microsoft attacked him first.

Further baffling the astronomers, the sun appears to emit a deep, villainous laugh.
