I thought on the paid/. you could see the dupes in the future. So perhaps we are missing the point and this one wasn't a dupe but the previous a leak! Feel lucky!
I have an 8125. As soon as I found that the button on top of it turns off the computer, but not the phone. I find this phone really good. Battery life is more than 2 days considerably using Wi-Fi. And I never had the problem of accidentally calling anyone. However, windows mobile 5 sucks big time, and the fact that it keeps open the programs all the time (I had to install the "MagicButton" application), consumes all the phone resources.
I've been able to play 700MB divx videos with no problem and watch movies while on a flight, and listen music (with anything but the WMP).
Not only the market is already saturated. It's saturated with well known brands that do things well, for less.
The first advantage of iPod was that not many people had MP3 players at the time, MP3 players based on CD were sunk because of their poor anti-skip technology.
Now, who's fighting apple here? Microsoft? Nokia? Motorola? Motorola's ming is quite smaller, and Nokia's N-95 is full featured. So, is it just the screen what makes this phone revolutionary? I'll wait for the N95 to be cheaper, and get one of those.
But there's always somebody willing to pay $500+ for some stuff that can be cheaper.
I knew I had seen that before, and I was trying to remember where. Yes, Tron. Nice call. I think what it makes it feasible these days is, perhaps, the flat LCD screens... although, if you're reading slashdot, it's mostly probable you never use the space under the coffee table for anything useful... in fact, who uses the space under a coffee table?
Maybe you can get for $200, another armstrap and use it as a backpack. So people no longer need to use paper to put a "Kick my a**" but use the E-ink! Let's go green!
In fact, isn't that frequency also used in cordless phones? That means that girls talking on the phone for hours will have their brains toasted already!
I guess it make sense with so many people complaining about having large amount of cables, and paying ridiculous amounts of money for audio + video + S-video + anything else. Because you can go to BestBuy and see how some guys working there don't even know what cables are used for what. So dad goes home and find several RCA connectors and S-video (probably well labeled), but don't now what should be connected and where.
So I guess for simplicity, you can take both video and audio in the same wire, you just buy one cable, and run only one cable. If you want an external audio equipment, I bet the box providing you the HDMI will also provide you with more audio connections (2.1 - 5.1 - 7.1 ?).
Still, it has it's problems but as many of the technological decisions, probably this wasn't an exception and it was taken because of money. So, HDMI was probably adopted also for economical convenience.
Can't RTFA (since appear to be/.'d), but I just wonder, how many of these licenses were sold to Dell, Toshiba, HP, etc... And since there are no more XP, well...
I've seen people eating Chinese food using chopsticks while driving on I-95. So, I DO believe you. It's amazing a person can endanger others while doing irrational things like those.
I believe the fact that in the US driving from one place to another takes so long, makes people believe they can take advantage of that "spare time".
Seriously, isn't that you go to hell if you don't pray?

No it doesn't come with a GPS. The Nokia N-95 does, but who knows what carrier will market the nokia.

As far as you don't play any copyrighted material. But I bet those sounds will soon be copyrighted.

I was wondering, are they also closing down the "lyrics" web pages? Now, that's certainly copyrighted material, isn't?
Are they suing Google for its cache, they have copies of many pages. Don't they? (Did they sue already and I missed it?)
Maybe the next generation VoIP phones can be used to call your dog with high frequency tones anywhere in the world!
Boy technology is amazing!
Google images using:
emergency button
That will give you plenty of "cute" options.
... to buy Windows! ;)
/.'d, or perhaps they used the button on their webserver?

Duh! Take the code on the page and compile it! It looks very well commented by the way!
I bet that's the reason why the equation editor of Word 2007 accepts LaTex commands as you type.

Wow! And just when I thought my amber monochromatic monitor was outdated and threw it, it turns out is now a "futuristic" color.
Anyway, pictures only of one side, with only one usb port. I'm wondering what does it come with on the right hand side.
In fact, isn't that frequency also used in cordless phones? That means that girls talking on the phone for hours will have their brains toasted already!
Oh wait...
But I've heard commercials where stations claim they are "digital" now, then something like "rights management" is still missing there!
You don't want to imagine what's going to be Delilah with no music at all.
So that's how "Suscribers can see news in the future"... and many times!

In fact, I think the only sad about this deal should be Double-Click, since they could certainly ask more from Google. Too bad for them.
Microsoft and Google have lots of money, if they don't want to take it from them, that is their problem. Congratulations to Aquantive.
Better yet, does that mean that global warming have less impact in the land of Vikings? What does Al Gore think about it?
Do the **IAAs have then direct implications with Global warming?
In fact, if we sign a petition and finish with the **IAAs could we save the planet?
We'll see.
