    Ah... I forgot to ask. What do they want to make open source? The entertainment systems, the engine/injection CPU, the hardware?

    Furthermore, because what prohibits anyone else to do research on the topic?

    So for one... terrorists for sure won't try to publish their research.
    And second, he probably has spent a good amount of time researching to be scooped by another researcher in another country that may not have the "exporting" issue.

    Still, that doesn't mean is going to be published, and peer-reviewing will be in place, very likely if some consider is very interesting it will be published. Unless other hands wave at the paper and never gets published. (Yes, submitting doesn't mean publishing)

    In the same pedant mode, I was just wondering what predators have anything to do with any predicting ability of the cow (if any).

    Furthermore I was wondering what does the cow predicts? I know they probably can make better weather forecasts than many weather men I've seen though.

    Uhm... actually I was seeing it the other way. There's so much information... and most of it unbalanced. The same way some people gets obese not only by eating much, but also by eating unbalanced.

    So if instead learning history, or reading wikipedia or news or what not, you read entertaiment and facebook updates and certain celebrity twitter pages, certainly the information you're getting is not nutritive enough but it makes you feel like you're full of information.

    So no... it's not about hoarding data. It's about filling your brain with lots of [useless] information.

    Independent of liking or not the app. I wonder why having an app, the people in the company haven't used yet. If the employees don't support their company and at least try their products... what kind of employees they have in first place.

    If that's the main product, and the employees won't use it then it makes no sense.
    If it's not and it's supposed to help the employees with something, then why people doesn't try it.
    If it is informational only, why not just using a website and call it done!

    Seriously, doesn't seem to me that it's a problem of only the "company" or the "developers" or perhaps just "PR".

    To be fair. The link you provided clearly states that "Macs don't get PC viruses".

    So that's why their advertisement clearly differentiates a PC from a Mac. So people don't get confused about the type of virus they got... Of course they never said anything about Mac viruses ;-)

    Since I haven't used the theme yet. I'm yet to realize if it's actually cool. My Galaxy gets pretty hot when I use the GPS, if they can cool it down... that would be great.

    Not sure if 100 years ago. But isn't this the same principle used in most data centers today?

    powerplant -> rectifier -> batteries ----> ( DC equipment or Inverter and AC equipment )

    So depenting on the electric motors they are using... sounds to me it's the same issue.

    I asked once here why if diesel was better for generators (torque), was not being used in these types of hybrids and someone said they couldn't turn on/off as frequently, not sure still why that would be the case and if a TDI car would just break if I commute for shorter periods of time.

    Anyways, It's still in my mind that diesel engine would be better for generation and then use that serial hybrid architecture. We'll see if VW (and their diesels) bring that idea to the table.

    My same thoughts. I wonder if Adobe doesn't have some of these but didn't feel the reason to come after them. Now that 1b is on the table, maybe is time for all image processing patent holders to show up for the cake.

    I guess everyone shares your opinion on how great they are, until they plan on posting a few of those near your house. Then, the house you pay $x for, worths half, because it doesn't look as pretty. You pay same taxes, because your state thinks the house is worth the same. You don't get free electricity, instead you'll be paying to the clever guy that cause your mess, and on top of that, on a windy night, you probable get to hear a lovely choir of turbines that won't let you sleep.

    Don't take me wrong, I don't mind, and I'm pro renewable energy, but it hasn't caused me any problems, but others may not find it a attractive once they want to put it on "their backyard"against their will, and won't see a direct benefit from it.

    More to the point, is that in the last couple of trips, I have realized people actually leave their phones on. The flight attendants may come to anyone wearing headphones, thinking they are actually listening anything, but the problem is some people either don't know how to turn the cellphone off, they don't know how to turn the radios off, or simply don't want (I remember an Asian kid sending text messages during landing).

    So since the flight attendants don't have RF detectors to track people, and furthermore, they won't do it during take-off or landing due to safety regulations... well, I really don't know what should be done.
