Sorry, but linux isn't the shining beacon of stability you make it out to be. I can't recall the last time my xp blue screened except for runnin a non certified video driver.
So, they have X. Its just a seperate app. It can run X apps and native. It's not used for anything OSX.
"X11 for Mac OS X takes advantage of the Mac OS X Quartz graphics system to deliver hardware-accelerated 2D and 3D graphics." They did it well, go figure.
Given that you seem link happy, care to point me to any links for something like this under linux ? You took the time to check the apple site. Guess you forgot that page.
Yup, I can't stand the ameriican version. It's more like watching wrestling. Look at the "ROBOT WARS: EXTREME WARRIORS" and robot wars shows. Big breasted women on tv talking about robots don't quite do it for me. The real thing is much nicer.
How is that "in the family" ?
Because it's open source ?
That's a pretty far stretch man.
So linux crashes because of hardware failure and XP because of bad design ?
My linksys running linux is continually flakey.
mmhmm
;)
nope, noone has scsi with SMP
Try logging in. It's not too hard.
Did you look through the tightvnc source and find the problem ?
If not in tightvnc it should at least pinpoint where windows messes up.
Let me know, I'd be interested to know what you find.

I figured you'd be more objective.
Did YOU read all those posts ?
Are you doubting that my box has been up for that long? Sorry to tell you, but my background is a touch different.
hmm
Guess other people aren't so lucky.

ok, so linux dosn't crash.
Those kernel panics must have been me imagining things. My windows xp box has been up and heavily used for 4 weeks.
I take it you base this off your own anecdotal evidence.
Don't think so

Uhh, What the hell do you mean ?
Oh calm the hell down.
And you're still a fat fuck living in his mothers basement.
Gee, that's a surprise.
It works fine for me with 7.11
Another sign of NASA decay ...
Rather sad though.
Have you ever managed a 20k installation. .. a linux installation with 20k users ?
Moreso
good, so don't bother
*shrug*
feel better ?
Who's forcing you to use it ?
Enjoy your old file system layout.
You don't like it .. dont use it.
This distro sets it up this way to make it more intuitive. Go figure.
Why would there be ?

Nothing like the /. effect to bring unfriendly planets back into line.
Not only s alpha blending one of many advantages, it's also MUCH faster.
It dosn't mean having quake 3 on your desktop.
EXACTLY
.. It's a pretty smart idea to offload the window functions onto it.
So many weenies never bother reading.
Linux just now has OpenGL rendering hacks being developed to do this.
Use OSX, see how the windows don't tear and feel faster ? If you have a geforce 4

bottom of the page..
How sad :)
Use FreeBSD ?
It's a server... plus has the ports.
