I want to go on state red full-on black helicopter paranoia rant, but before that, can someone tell how probable/unusual for FBI to look into your record, say, in comparison to a no-name newspaper reporter, for example.
If somebody doesn't like the executive order, she can take it up to the court. The White House will throw up the usual "national security" or some other bullshit, and she'd get fucked in the ass by the IRS, but that's just a part of the 'due process'.
I think it just shows how little we know about (human) biology, seemingly a very complex subject, and how crude our "modern" medicine is.
A little humility and skepticism are in order, but they are lacking in news reports on health/medicine, quoting doctors and researchers as if they are engaged in a literary debate.
This is turning into a gag. Can any of you point to a single Slashdot story where headline/summary were reasonably accurate? Say in the last year or so.
Not really a valid comparison, as Canada is the world's second biggest country, and could fit the population of Britian in several times over without even noticing...
Also, things shrink when cold, so you can pack'em tighter.
Security is a lot like IT, but much more so. It's waste of money until shit hits the fan. 5 minutes later, it becomes waste of money again. But it's difficult to judge how close you're to shit-blade collision point, though, because in the end it's an effort to mitigate breach, not a guarantee, and news stories that do pop up tend to be sensationalistic and doesn't help the assessment.
If the God didn't intend us to dig these shit up, he wouldn't have given us shovels.

I've heard tons of stories from cyclists in the US detailing how people in vehicles purposely drive as close as possible to them, cut them off, throw things at them etc.
... but multithreading is generally not something you have a choice about. Avoid it if you can, think very carefully about when you need to use it because of the application requirements.
A well-known lesson took a long while to get through my thick skull. If you're gonna do threading, try to design it to be async with message passing. Except in extreme simple cases, mucking around with locks and shared (among threads) resources will screw you over. And over. And over.
God damn foobar apps.
Mod this communist DOWN!!!
Ha, that was fun. :-)
You're completely wrong.

That's a pretty long-winded way of saying you're an "Austrian" religious zealot.
If you're not a field op for AMA, you're an idiot.
Where do you suggest plebes like us to get our medical news from? JAMA? NEJM?
Three letters: TSA.
I'd kill an extra hour (or two) to spare me the aggravation that is airport and TSA.
They'll be back, probably. Just keep the circuit closed.
Sounds plausible - Waxman represents Beverly Hills area and is in the Hollywood's tank.
Ok, so who funded this bill and why?
It is what it is.

Ha, I suppose nothing stops others from playing that game.
Return your stolen loots sitting in the British Museum.

I thought there were several research findings showing online trails, like this, provides more than adequate context info to identify people.
That reminds me. Let me take this opportunity to give a shout-out:
All you mofos after me for the money I owe you: Haaahh. Ha.
If the God didn't intend us to dig these shit up, he wouldn't have given us shovels.
Really? Wow, I (we?) am famous.
Me, too!

The hell? I was following you cuz I thought you knew what you're doing...
And also a big difficulty doing big projects with Python - it becomes too damn unwieldy.
Nevertheless, noodle monster bless Python. Right tool for the right job, etc.
