Of course, but people already know, going onto a shop, that the assistant won't be neutral, hell the usual question is "in your opinion is....".
As for the other comment about my post not adding anything, I was merely pointing out that saying that a $150US card (thats about $200-250AU) card can run "most" games at "high detail" at "quite high rez" is pushing it, even older engines like UT3, CoH etc will struggle once you crank the detail up on a card from this bracket, at "quite high rez" (is that vague-speak for a 22" screen?).
And I was trying to do it in a humorous manner, gods forbid I was trying to point out something and be funny at the same time, maybe they modded me too far both funny and insightful and the signed int rolled around...
If you had to sell vid cards to people who think that "a good one" costs under $50AU then you wouldn't mod this troll, it would be insightful or some such.
Go on, mod this troll too, I dare you mods (would do it myself but can't mod my own posts).
I don't know if I'd limit it to just $100 though but for $150 and under you can definitely buy enough card to run most games at high detail and quite high resolutions.
For sufficiently low values of both resolution and detail.
Was looking at doing that with my phone so that I can play any of my music or vids from my home storage bin anywhere, however trying to find a phone company in australia that would let me download 10G or so a month on my mobile without it costing upwards of $5,000AU was impossible.
Or they could start doing what Aussie ISPs are doing, and mirroring such download intensive files themselves.
All my steam downloads come down un-metered (that is, doesn't count toward my monthly usage) and at full speed direct from my ISPs steam content server:)
I have ADSL2+ on here (in Australia), syncs at 13Mb/s down and 800Kb/s up.
I am on a plan which says I can download upto 80GB a month, this means there is no fucked up phone calls, not dicking around about "omg are they going to call me". If I download 40G in one week, it means I have 40G left for the rest of the month, they wouldn't give a fuck if I downloaded at 13Mb/s constant till I hit cap, thats the advantage of a limited account from a good provider, theres no bullshit invisible limits, just you getting what you pay for.
But the best part, for me, was the parents storming out with their pack of 8-15yr olds from the film and screaming (you could hear them over the cinema sound, so they were loud) at the ticket clerk for their money back, just after the rape scene.
Seriously, why the fuck would you take children to an R rated movie, regardless if the source was "a comic"?
I am on it, you see I have this great product called Antivirus 2009, don't worry, I have sent out over 2 billion emails detailing its advantages to people.
You sir, would have my mod point if I had any today:)
One thing I have noticed though, the complete lack of any linux or xBSD machines at my workplace (computer repairer) with any spyware (hello, smitfraud?), which vista still seems to attract like a $10 hooker does STDs.
His logic was working on the assumption that apparent use of power (as measured by the power meter) was the same as actual power used, that is incorrect.
He was stating that since it actually used no power that it was creating energy (since it was still producing light) and could not be, however its not really using zero energy, its just that as far as the meter can read, it is using zero energy.
His logic is correct, he just missed a fact that would render the logic untenable in this situation.
Wrong, it doesn't mean it uses no power, it means the power meter in your house won't be able to measure the power it uses, please check your facts before applying your logic:)
The trick with CFL's if you want a good one is you have to pay for them.
That is true in more than just CFLs, the more people come to realize this the better.
My main reason for using CFLs (and yes, I buy the expensive ones, with 0 warm up and nice white light) is I am fucking lazy, we were buying globes every other week with standard incandescent, now I swap a CFL every 6-12 months:)

Not likely, since I was trolling :)
And I for one welcome our overlord welcoming overlords...
Troll? Bah

Wait, we talking linux or windows here, with the quality of ATI drivers, its sometimes hard to tell apart the arguments :)
When people ask me for my opinion, I have 2 sayings (only one I can use when trying to sell hardware though):
ATI cards are like a London bus, big, red, and with crappy drivers.
ATI drivers, causing more crashes than marijuana and alcohol combined.
As further down, I am with internode
internode.on.net
Guess who I am with ;)

Your already on it :)
Not read the comic, so will not comment on that.

Thats because its normally assumed ;)

Also, I have these pills...
So its half duplex and you need to turn it around to send the Ack packets?
There we go, fixed that up for you.
It really is a great game, just onto world 3 (the second one) and am really starting to get hooked, worth the cash for it at any rate.
Steam clicky
Glad I made someone happy :)

It is in fact, you can make a fluro light appear to your meter to use zero power (with the right inductor/cap combo).
Its illegal afaik in most countries though.

Yeah, you can know who is monitoring you, but not what they are monitoring you for.
ITS IN MUH BRAIN!
Holy crap, how did I get that past the filter?
