    Europe has been there for a while.
    The US is getting there now.

    This process of making a similar item with a different SKU also keeps pricematches from happening. It is not the same item if the SKU is different.

    I got a 50" plasma about 6 months ago. I researched all the specs to make sure I got a great tv - and I did. But what I hadn't paid any attention to was power consumption. I was pretty surprised when I learned my new TV uses 690W.

    If you look at the back of a plasma tv they have fans on the back. The screen itself gets warm enough you can feel the heat on the back of your hand 3" or 4" away.

    Do LCD's of this size use this much power?

    I have friends who cannot afford some things as nice as mine. If you were to ask them why they don't have a nicer one, they would tell you a reason why they don't want it. People rarely admit that price is the issue, even when it is.

    My bank has had this for a few months now.
    You're right. It doesn't work.
    Ultimately the false negative rate is so high [leads to] so many people get their password revoked [leads to] so they make resetting your password a "self service" feature with "Choose your own questions..." authentication.

    Then the users make their questions along the lines of: "What color is blue?"

    I have Verizon Wireless mobile broadband. It's ok for light work, but they throttle downloads back. The longer the download, the slower it gets throttled back to. Seems to encourage light use only.

    NOT A CABLE MODEM REPLACEMENT, NOT EVEN A DSL REPLACEMENT.

    Sometimes I feel like an outcast from society. Maybe in the future I'll be able to just withdraw from the world while the State suports me instead of working through it. I was born in a trailer park, and I don't work for minimum pay now. It's a shame not to expect people to better themselves.

    'S a place where you pay at the gate, drive in, park your car, watch a movie projected on a 40' tall screen. Usually one tunes in the movie on FM and ends up jump starting their car. Ever seen Greece? Yeah - like that.
