Have you noticed all the different places recently that buy up your used smartphones/gadgets? hell in the mall there is an automated kiosk (offered me $12 for it, id rather smash it against a wall for that price) . All those used phones/tablet trickle down to the third world, enabling greater communication for all.
Because We the People have deemed it so. If you wish to operate on public roads, you will comply. Thats the logic to it. You may not agree, but driving on publicly owned roads is not a right. Freedom of movement is, but thats not the same thing at all, even if you think it is
Not all drug crime is equal. A junkie out stealing for his fix isnt the same as the crime lord importing and distributing, with all its attendant duties. At least if the drug flow is operating within the confines of a legal framework, the only monsters we create are more corporations. Id rather handle a few junkie crimes then a corrupting organized force fueled by illicit cash and the need for secrecy.
SO how do we roll a DIY version of this with my existing windows or mac desktop? I RDP into my machines now, but the interface isnt as useful on touch as the one OnLive presented. Bandwidth restrictions aside, how to get my 'RDP' session to work like this?
No actually I work within the framework provided for me. I have no interest in hacking iOS devices, but I run a Nook color with Cyanogen mod 7. I wouldnt take a mercedes and try to make it a street racing car either. Right tool for the right job, remember?
THe profoundly useful part is where the same device that i use as a phone is also media center with the ability to toss video on any properly equipped screen i own, take pictures, remote control, etc etc. Its the sum of all the parts and in one device. http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=2692439&cid=39159819#
This whole argument falls flat on its face by anyone saavy enough to actually use the iphone to its full extent. Regardless of your hatred of marketing, Apple makes a PROFOUNDLY useful tool.
It doesnt suck. Sure its not ideal, but it works well and its over wifi so it eliminates line-of-sight. Just like everything else compromise is the key. I find the iphone remote app a fair compromise.
Do you think the world stops at the edge of your vision? Its great that it worked for you, wonderful even. For the vast majority of us, it was a personal, professional, and social nightmare. I would never mock you for enjoying something that jsut worked for you. We, the geeks, are happy for you, but you are not one of us.
You dont have to log into GFWL online. It works just fine with a local account. Not defending it, it still sucks ass, but at the local level its just a glorified user account manager for savegames.
Windows ARM is their strategy to mimic Apple and their level of unapologetic control. Win 8 ARM is where their DRM dreams for general computing will be fleshed out and brought to life. I imagine at some point before Win 8 or very soon after, Apple will introduce an OSX/iOS merged product, and the wheel will turn again.
32 GB flash drives are now pretty common and at roughly the same $/GB as 16 GB units . In the last month i have bought a 32 GB micro SD, and (2) 32 GB flash drives all at or below $1/GB. 64 GB and 128 GB units are also already available at retail., just not as common and the pricing scales fast.
Well judging by the PSP games, i dont think thats going ot be much of an issue. Owned a PSP for its entire lifespan, and ive bought 6 games for it total.(got 2 more for free after the PSN incident)... Lets not forget that AAA games on Vita cost $50 USD. I just cant see how they justify that cost for portable games considering the competition that is about to be unleashed. I really liked my PSP, so much that i bought a second one after i lost my first, but they are simply too greedy this round. If they hadnt done the memory card thing, it might be better. Hell the VIta should have come strapped with 16 GB from the get go. Fuck them and their hubris.
IM not buying because its a turd they are trying to float before someone grows a brain and rolls a Kal-El android setup with dual sticks and makes their toy irrelevant.
Ive had one since they came out and I wouldnt touch the Vita at that price. $150, tops. Sony is going ot have a hard time fending off Kal-El at that price. The ability for a smaller (then Sony) company to roll their own console has been radically increased in the last few years. Asus says they are bringing out a 7" Kal-el 7" tablet for $250. At that price point, ANYONE can roll a console as powerful as PSVITA, AND PsVita is going ot be stagnant hardware for the next 5 years. The market is COMPLETELY different then it was at PSP launch. They have a very tough road ahead.
It would be FAR more beneficial to mankind to scrap the entire system and start over.
Unfortunately for those in favor of the status quo, we have a whole lot of people now writing history from a vast amount of perspectives.

WHy do you hope they are in a RAID setup? RAID is for speed. Speed in access or speed in recovery, nothing more.

Unfortunately, Google is using Android as a club, instead of a carrot. Open Source my ass.

His phrasing is what allows us to sound bite him like that. He phrased it very VERY poorly, enough so that his original message was distorted.
The IRS, while feared, is still respected by most.
Thank you.
Unconstitutional. NO other way to describe it.

true, i should have said 'you are assuming there is enough third-party caused gravity to overcome the gravity between the buckeyballs.'

I call bullshit, citation needed.
And you only have yourself to blame for picking a terrible mate....
