This statement by police says it all. "It gives us a good opportunity to have an eye up there. Not a surveilling eye, not a spying eye. Let's make the distinction. A surveilling eye to help us to do the things we need to do, honestly, to keep people safe," said Miami-Dade Police Director James Loftus.

  12. The bigger picture. on Next Generation of Windows To Run On ARM Chip · · Score: 1

    Windows on ARM is HUGE.

Please pull your vision back from the machine code level and enjoy the 50,000' view. The critical piece of information to see in this announcement is partnerships involved. Especially with NVIDIA and Texas Instruments. Two major players in the microprocessor industry with the need and ability to succeed in a new market.

MS brings the ability to mass produce a mainstream OS. NV and TI bring the ability to mass produce complicated microprocessors. It is important to note that NV specifically has a historical relationship and prior experience doing exactly this with MS.

This is a smart move for the compaines and as consumers we will benefit from a wider range of choices at better prices.

Apple should take note and remember the lessons from the early 1990's this same scenario de-throned them during that technology shift. Apple started that revolution as well and fell out when Microsoft came up.

They can also assist you in determining if you have a need for further QA or test suites worked into your process. You can contract a QA engineer for 3 months and that would help you determine the metrics you need to measure to justify further expense.

Even though the women still hung around with Assange does not carry the weight you might think. I'm guessing that this could be the same in Sweden as in the US because it's not a letter of the law issue, but a natural progression of reporting any crime. Once the women made their statements to the police, a prosecutor (a law professional with a degree) can extrapolate charges from the statements that the women may have never intended to be brought against the individual.

For a REALLY simplistic example. I'm a bar owner and I file a destruction of property complaint against two guys that got in a fight in my bar. After the police investigation. They both are charged with destruction of property because they destroyed a table. In addition, they both pick up assualt charges. One gets an assualt with a deadly weapon charge because he weilded a broken table leg like a club. The other guy gets assualt with great bodily injury (California) because he broke the first guys arm to avoid getting hit with the table leg. It can go on and on.
