At the rate that Facebook is adding new features, games, and dozens of new ways to communicate, users will soon realize that there are simpler ways to communicate. You know, like dialing a phone number.
This is very true. The advantage of being in demand are that you get paid really well. The disadvantage is that your employer can't afford for you to take a vacation unless it's done well in advance. Even then, it may not work out.
My dad is a pharmacist. My 18-year-old brother considered becoming a pharmacist as well, but my dad discouraged him from it. Basically pharmacy has become largely about quality assurance (aka "sign off on this please", medicare management, and a bunch of bureaucratic paperwork. If you're entering the field of pharmacy because you love the chemistry behind it and enjoy the scientific aspects, you may be disappointed.
My dad has a degree in chemistry and pharmacy, so I have a feeling he is a little disappointed with the changes over the years.
It does seem humorous that the scientist claimed he built a multi-surface detector which actually doesn't detect anything in particular. However, even if a few surfaces can be detected, this invention could be extremely useful in several fields. For instance, you might be able to use it to differentiate between very similar minerals or metals, or possibly even determine what combination of materials exist in a single surface. This could save a significant amount of time in testing and traditional analysis.
I'm not sure what you do for your main job, but personally I would suggest learning some web technologies like PHP, MySQL, and possibly something like Flash. Maybe throw in some graphic design to exercise your creative side. Web programming and web development can, in my experience, be more enjoyable than other types of programming jobs due to the relative simplicity and "instant" results. It is relatively easy to get web development gigs (after you start building up contacts), and it can be done from anywhere. Personally, I may try part-time web development myself after getting my day job settled.

I'm really happy to hear that the LHC successfully tested without any major hitch. This huge machine will doubtlessly help us discover amazing things about our universe.
On an unrelated note, my car kept veering to the east this morning on my way to work. Need to check those tires.
One of the best things about the web is that it connects all of us without necessitating a physical presence. The resources necessary for multiple physical robots would be counter-productive and take away a good deal of what makes wide-area networks so effective and useful.
go outside with a steak knife and kill 1000 squirrels. Take the skins and return them to the nearest marketplace to sell. Then maybe they'll have a backstory for ya.
I'm sorry, but the majority of people here don't mind seeing unobtrusive contextual ads in exchange for high-quality free web apps and other software. The developers at Google are known for their brilliance, and I think they communicate to the community better than most commercial software vendors. They have definitely contributed a great deal to the open source community, and their developer resources in Google Code are a great help to those developing new software projects on a tight budget. They have to make their revenue in some way, and in their case it is through advertisements. In order for their advertisements to be effective, they need high-quality products (like Google search) to bring users in. In my opinion, it's a good deal for both us and Google.
Also, instead of buying any existing diamonds, have an unneeded part of your body cremated. Take the ashes and have the carbon extracted. After you have the pure carbon, use it to create a diamond from your own flesh. I'm kidding obviously, but LifeGem seriously offers this service, although they typically deal with whole bodies.
Many times this is due to the fact that vendors can sell Windows machines at a discount if they have a contract with software companies to preinstall trail versions of their software.
eBay is an awesome, secure site, and I really doubt there are that many cases of auction fraud.
Where else could I have bought Intel's new 7-core processor? It's arriving sometime this week. w00t!
I don't want to start a huge off-topic debate, but I believe you're interpreting those last two verses rather incorrectly. If you look at the context of Romans 6:7, it doesn't say that all who die have paid off their sins. Instead, it speaks of "free from sin" as an opposite to "slave of sin," which was discussed in the verse before. It's the same kind of difference as "bug-free" vs. "freedom from the bug," if that makes any sense.:)
She should just go with Gmail. Google will save her information whether she likes it or not.

So that's what that's for.....

Sigh, we need an "Edit" feature for comments.
Maybe now we will be able to determine what can be found McDonald's hamburger patty.
I praise you sir for your calm and unbiased insight.

I'll be refreshing this all day.

This idea of a lawyer is really "out there."
Once again the human body demonstrates the brilliance of its design...
And yes, it will blend.

That was the London Stock Exchange

The only integration I'll ever do was in calculus class.
