Starcraft was the first game I can rememeber running under DX I remember running into DirectX for the first time and going "What the heck is this?" when installing a little gem called Mechwarrior 2 in '96. It actually ran pretty decent, and if you had bought one of those new fangled "3D graphics card" doohickeys, Mechwarrior actually flew pretty well under DirectX. I remember being blown away by the sky moving so cleanly...
Now there is little that impresses me.

My hard drives are easily the loudest part of my machines. Apparently, you have never worked in tech support. In my experience, the loudest part of the machine, is the user. The more ignorant/dumb, the louder.

Bruce Willis saw dead people, I see dumb people...
Funny that I've bought 4 disc-based games and at least one downloadable game since the beginning of July, and have been using my PS3 almost exclusively for gaming since then. I'll be buying at least 4 more games before the end of the year, too. No, whats funny is that the downloadable game was probably a better game then the 4 disc-based games you purchased. Thats funny, unless you own a PS3. Then it's just sad. The "game drought" may be over, but the "quality game drought" lives on. Hey, at least you can recoup some of your money reselling your PS3 to./ers looking to make a beowulf cluster.

...skip cut scenes using a non-gameplay key. There's nothing more annoying than missing an important cut-scene because you accidentally hit the Fire button. Especially when the cut scenes intrude on the game suddenly and unexpectedly. Couldn't agree more that being penalized for accidentally pressing a button (especially after an intense boss battle that took 10+ tries to complete) but some games have givin the option to skip, but with a confirmation dialog. Xenosaga was a pretty great game, but some of the cutscenes were long-winded, and playing through a second time, you could press start, and then choose b (i think) to return to the cutscene or press x to skip. Give the player a choice, but make sure it's the player's choice with a confirmation.

I mean, it's not like there have ever been great movies that make you uncomfortable, right? It's funny how the term "great" is a matter of opinion, as I have my choices of "great" movies, and yet have never seen any of the movies in your list. Perhaps what made those movies "great" to you was precisely THAT they made you uncomfortable.
Getting back on topic, I personally think this game is trash, but I know there will be many (perhaps a majority) of people who not only buy, but worship the game. Pushing videogames into the realm of the insane isn't innovative and creative, it's the easy way out. - Bobfrankly

If you want natural; starve, along with the billions of others that this planet couldn't naturally support. Actually, this planet is quite capable of supporting the billions that live here. It's typically the small *ruling class* percentage of those billions that control either the food or it's methods of delivery that cause starvation.

So 50 new retail Japan-only games, 50 new most other countries games, and 100 new hentai dating simulators. Which will pale in comparison to the PS2 Hentai dating sims, because PS2 has the vibra....er, rumble feature.
Also, they forgot to include how many of these games will suck, which is probably going to be a large percentage. So the story should be "Sony puts out 'news' in attempts to cover for vastly misjudging it's market" most likely to distract from the rumors of a PS3 price drop.
