Except the news organisations have been picking and choosing for greatest dramatic effect/"reader interest" i.e. publishing the cables that are most likely to have a destablising effect on world politics.
...and ignoring those cables that would be embarassing to their corporate owners and banker pals.
Hopefully reports like this are taken as good news not fuel for the skeptics and deniers. Good news because we have a better chance and perhaps more time at managing with increased CO2.

I imagine if they were given a car to review with no top, trunk, or rear fenders, they would deem the rear-ward visibility as 'marginally adequate'. No doubt in my mind; a large CS donor or very senior staff member either backed over a child or suffered this happening to them. A tragedy to be sure, but it definitely over-colors their reviews. But if they're that safety-conscious, why do they even review the occasional 911?
most federal and state prisons (and their fat payrolls) are located in the most rock-ribbed, reddest states/counties. Remoting the mostly minority prisoners far, far away from their families is just a nice, racist bonus.
