There's that little matter of the ex post facto telecom immunity law passed back in 2008. Everyone gets off scott free.

And with his vote to give them a free pass, I realized Senator Obama was no different than any other politician. This might have even been a requirement to show his compliant deference to the military-surveillance state before he would be allowed to run for POTUS.

The fact that there is still no official, nationwide, legally-required (upon pain of zero Fed cash for anything) system to record and disseminate statistics of all LEO-involved violence up to and including deaths (or more accurately: murder by cop of minorities) by every method is not just a casual mistake.

This is also why social (mobile) media is so despised by the LEO crowd: it exposes their abuses to world, where in the 'good old days', well who *wouldn't* believe Officer Bob's statements that he 'had no choice' and 'felt threatened' by that no good Nig^h^h^h thug.

  14. She can't win on Clinton Surrendering Email Server/Data To Feds After Top Secret Mail Found · · Score: 0

Even before this increasingly indefensible law-breaking (where many have been sent to Federal prison for far-less sensitive leaks), her negatives were sky-high. If she stays in, people who normally wouldn't give a toss of even voting *for* anyone will come out in droves to vote *against* her (and her husband).

I would like to think she actually cared enough about what this inevitable result would do to this country (a GOP reign of terror including packing the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, then gay marriage, then ObamaCare, then...), that she would drop out. But I doubt it: she's just too desirous for ultimate power and willing to ignore the fact that even if she were miraculously POTUS, jack-shit would get done as she would be opposed even more than Obama.

Bernie can't win (too old, too Northeastern, too 'socialist', too Jewish); the only one with a shot is Elizabeth Warren, who I hope was only tactically waiting for the inevitable Clinton implosion before 'changing her mind'. She actually is willing to go after Wall Street crime (as opposed to BHO and HRC), which might give her a shot with those same folk that would be voting 'anyone but Hillary'.

This should be a question for the FCC to ask all the US carriers. Failure to push OS security updates should result in massive fines against all of them, not just the usual level of 'spare change in the corner office couch cushions' type, as these vulnerabilities will sooner or later affect life and limb.

If you whine and slow-play some BS about making sure it won't harm your precious networks, okay. But the fines will be imposed and continue to increase until the all the patches are truly pushed out.

Carriers, either push out the security updates to all affected phones, or release unlockers to allow your customers to defend themselves; there should be no other options given to you.
