    You can use fast-user switching and go to the User Login screen (kind of like logging out), when you log back it, it'll be exactly like you left it. You do have a point about the reboot. But when you "log out", it's precisely that. Logging out.

    Hungarian notation is a mess... but try searching for instances of "i" in a complex program.... especially in someone else's code. Major PITA... I'll just use "ii"... much easier...

    My 15' G4 Powerbooks hinge broke. My 10 month old manage to snap it. While I was there I mentioned my dead USB port. Still under warranty. Took it to the Mac store and they quoted me a $1000 to fix it. They wouldn't fix one problem, without fixing the other problem. Not for a $1000 bucks you wont. That $1000 is going towards a Dell laptop next time. On a laptop whose case is supposedly titanium, why did they use plastic for the hinge? C'mon guys. I spent $160 on a replacement hinge... waiting for the other one to break too.

    Thanks for the info. But the original parent is still incorrect. 95/98/Me's kernel is not an NT kernel and is not in XP or Win2K. The parent would have led some to believe it was also discovered in NT/W2K/XP.... which I have seen survive with longer uptimes.

    there's something to be said when an OS limits uptime to a 32-bit number (NT Kernel based OS's)... it's an admission that the OS isn't intended to keep working. Are you sure about this? I know that there was a bug in Win95 days of only having a 90 day uptime... I'd like to see a citation.

    An article like this betrays a fundamental lack of understanding of capitalism. They wont run out of business.
    Prices will drop until companies start failing. (If in fact the low prices are unsustainable) So long as there are customers willing to pay for VoIP, there will always be business.
    If the price is too high, then they'll be out of business. If the prices are low, they can make it up on volume.
