    Dovecot does IMAP too, so you could create a forward server and download all mail from there.

    Any nerd in there right mind wouldn't get a job at PC world. God forbid you know more than the manager on the issue that the automatic doors opened let alone computer technology that's more than a sensor, timer and motor.

    If you put the winblows disk in and did a full recovery how would they know any different? Now I have a problem with a laptop, the dvd drive stopped working, analysis shows it's not detected by the bios and is very likely a hardware problem. Now I can't put the windows disk in and recover... Now that is a more sticky situation. My advice, backup, original restore and let them prove you mad a modification. Also any individual part is under original warranty under UK law (IIRC, but IANAL).

    That's what I told the Bank manager, he was also worried that we would then know about the encryption, by design all encryption algorithms are well enough known or researchable.

    Not what a bank manager was telling me the other day, so I asked him to explain himself and he could say "That's what IT security control says", in other words there is a million dollar company to sue if they wish (at a lawyers suggestion).

    So why make a scanner that can scan linux then? Windows includes some of CUPS now, and doesn't solaris use GNUtools, and they opensourced the kernel recently. I think therefore you have just voided the whole idea of such a scanner on all three systems. Maybe these companies need to learn to grow up a bit, and no multi-million dollar backing, a lot use IBM or Dell contracts here in the UK.

    Everyone is unique and therfore interfaces with a computer in his/her unique way. This implies there is no standard human-computer interface, however we often want to do very simmilar tasks and then edit someone elses?

    So hasn't virtual terminals and screen locking solved this already, e.g. use linux! F8? With xserver running on it anyone? Sounds as half baked as MS tab completion they added to the command prompt in XP, I'll take Bash or Zsh thankyou.

    We just had an updated on for the school I attend, it states you can only use it for educational purposes. Then it later states it is not to be used for political purposes. Isn't Education a political purpose?

    You can always use postal vote! How are you going to stop people from cracking the systm to vote twice if it was online?
